Great video! Reminder to keep cleaning and pushing until button opens up was really helpful. I’d been giving up after 5 min but nkw both buttons are free! When it seemed like there was no hope I used a dropper to wet button area w/ iso 90% from the top andthen keep pushing . Keep pushing buttons is the key. Thank you

Same I fell asleep with my iPad doing school work and I must of hit it a Jammed it. It now works I am just continuing to apply eyeglass cleaner which is what I had and it is freeing up the button!

Hey thanks man. My button stopped working all of a sudden. I saw this video and used a perfume spray instead with cotton bud. I was curious as it didn’t show any better in the begging but after a while trying to rub and pushing the button it worked.
I dont know for how long this may work but i am happy as i dont have to open my phone to fix it

Just use a protection cover to turn the iPad on and off. Use the assistive touch button to screenshot, restart or lock the screen
i went on a night out and my friend spilled the alcohol on my phone, the power button got sticky this method works like charm. Thanks you 👍🏻

Worked! Stiff, but working volume up button. Couple of drops of alcohol on a q-tip, now the button is clicky again. 1 minute fix, thank you 🍻

Do the same shit and keep clicking the button. It'll work.
Hi’ I used lemon cologne since it contains %80 alcohol to fix it instead of isopropyl alcohol, should I be worried?? the button is more fine but I wonder if I did any harm, could you answer me :(
It may cause some corrosion. The other chemicals in the cologne probably don't get along with electronics, but hopefully its all good.

Any alternative to alcohol?
May i know how long does this process should be taken? Its not working for me😢
Depending on the severity, it could take awhile, but if it isn't working after awhile, then you could have damaged the button from a drop.
I know it worked for others but it made mine worse. I can't press it anymore.

I have an iPad 8th generation, and for some reason one of the volume buttons just won’t budge! I tried this technique for 15 minutes and it didn’t seem to do much, any suggestions?
The buttons could be stuck do to the internals being damaged from a drop.

Can you use hand sanitizer?
No hand sanitizer has chemicals in it that will oxidize metal.
My ipad air 5 fell on the floor and now the touch button is kinda stuck and it’s very sensitive so any small touches turns off the device do you have a solution? (Sorry for my bad English )
It's possible that the button is damaged on the inside. If its really sensitive that's most likely the issue.
It worked but no Touch ID which is okay for me vs paying $200 to fix
My iPads power button is stuck and it keeps turning off on its own I’m trying this and it’s working a little
Keep at it! eventually all the gunk will be gone, and your button will work better than ever.
Your gonna be at it a while, as often this spreads that gunk into other places. However it does work, and can free up a seized button, but you might need to do it MANY MANY TIMES to wash out the gunk.

No you’d need to get it replaced.

my power button on my phone got a little stuck and was working but not clicking. i tried this and it temporarily worked but after about 10 minutes it got stuck again. any solutions?
Could still have gunk built up. Keep cleaning it. If it still persists, it may be because the frame on your phone is damaged from dropping it, and that is causing friction with the button.

It may work if its just gunked up, but if its damaged it wont help.

You see the home button on my iPad you know the button on the side is stuck and it needs a bit of pressure so I can turn it on it’s jammed
Do what the video shows and that should fix it. Do it a couple times and if it doesn't work then you have internal damage probably from dropping it.

The Alcohol breaks down the gunk that is built up that is jamming your button.

Lots of times. So that the alcohol gets deep into the button and breaks up the gunk.
Can someone pls help me out, how do I fix my apple iPad 10 generation’s top button pop out again? I dropped it, picked it up to see is stuck so now I can’t turn my iPad off if it’s not fixed. This is probably a mechanical issue inside of the iPad. The button is probably broken. If you want to send it in to repair I will leave a link down below.

MAN I swipe up to the volume place and it just doesn’t move. The buttons are hard to press, but it works. Edit: I found out how to fix it if anyone wants to know, just turn power off for like 10 seconds and turn it on again.

Yes but the power button can also get stuck or damaged so it may not fix the issue if the button is pushed in super far.
