Is it possible that if installed incorrectly could you rub on the ac return line? Mine was rubbing on the line and cause the ac system to fail. Also the bracket that was used to hold the oil filter pedal snapped in half... bad experience. It worked hella good but now I gotta drop 1,200 to fix this issue now. Not too sure if I’m going to reinstall but ima see what happened and attempt to reinstall
So funny how the guy actually does look like someone that would be named Rudy. You know what I mean, sometimes you put a face to the name and it doesn’t match, but this guy really looks like a Rudy
This oil cooler kit is also a necessity to help protect the turbocharger unit in addition to the engine. The turbine blades inside the turbocharger get mad hot and seize up if not lubricated properly making it a potentially expensive fix. Not quite sure why the Honda engineers didn't think of that from the get-go when designing the 10th gen Civic....
Hi , thanks a lot for your video ! I just got one of this kit from you guys, I just don't see the Sensor , it doesn't come with the kit ? Please let me know
We developed this kit mainly for vehicles that will be used on the track or have decent modifications and are tuned. You can see the result of both these things on our test vehicle and why we made this kit in this video: ruclips.net/video/JceDg3OgwZU/видео.html
How much more oil will this increase the capacity too? & the oil filter size/capacity stays the same correct.. I will not need to upgrade the oil filter to a bigger size?
You will require roughly 1 extra quart of oil with the kit installed. The oil filter does not change, you can continue using the same filter type after the install.
Is this kit applicable to the 2.0 NA engine? You specified the 1.5 Turbo engine but just want to make sure because on the website it states it's applicable with all trims of 2016 civic coupe minus Si.
+nuggetswithbbq It will only fit on the 1.5L turbo engines. We currently list the EXL, EXT, and Touring models as compatible for the coupes. We also do have a version for the si models listed as well.
Hey Rudy I know this video is on a 10th gen but my question is about the 9th gen Civic Si did you guys ever install a front and rear tow hook on it or are you guys planning to do a video on it. Thank you
The car never came with a stock oil temp sensor, and so there is no way for a tuner to get those readings. As such, an aftermarket sensor and gauge will always be required.
By adding this you are adding restriction to oil flow... if exceeding regular restriction this could cause the oil to not circulate as well.....seems sketchy
+W & L Import Export - Luis Cheong This particular kit is designed for the 1.5L turbo motor. We don't have one ready for the Type R as of right now, but we may release one in the future.
Does it make sense until you drive on track..As we know the new turbo 1.5 turbo is well cooled engine and has problems with warming up the engine and that leads to oil dilution...Does it make sense to cool down engine more for normal daily driving???
RUDY IS THE MAN!!
This is going to be the first mod for my 18 Si.
Beautiful just installed on my 2020 si. You are a godsend sir.

This would be the first mod I'd install on these new turbo Civic Si's. Keep that oil temp lower over time esp if i lived in a desert climate
Hi , thanks a lot for your video ! I just got one of this kit from you guys, I just don't see the Sensor , it doesn't come with the kit ? Please let me know
Rudy been around for years dang.
If the car didn’t have a oil temperature sensor before the installation of the oil cooler, how do you know that you need one?
We developed this kit mainly for vehicles that will be used on the track or have decent modifications and are tuned. You can see the result of both these things on our test vehicle and why we made this kit in this video: ruclips.net/video/JceDg3OgwZU/видео.html
Looks easy enough 😎 i dont track my Si but would it be an ideal upgrade for a daily street queen?
+eduardo ortiz It's a good option to keep the oil temps low, especially in high heat areas.
Does this cooler have a thermostat built in?
Why are you using 5w20 instead of ow20
Thanks for the video, do u happen to know how to replace electric folding side mirrors?
How much more oil will this increase the capacity too? & the oil filter size/capacity stays the same correct.. I will not need to upgrade the oil filter to a bigger size?

Why would you need one for the NA motors it’s pointless
Hey Rudy I know this video is on a 10th gen but my question is about the 9th gen Civic Si did you guys ever install a front and rear tow hook on it or are you guys planning to do a video on it. Thank you
+Chancho Chancho At the current moment, we do not have this install planned. However, I will still let them know to see if we can squeeze it in.
So we would need aftermarket gauges to read oil temp and pressures off the cooler ports correct?
+Shankmeyster Yes, that would be correct.
If you have Hondata or ktuner, do they show oil temps? And if so, would I have to buy a sensor still?
The car never came with a stock oil temp sensor, and so there is no way for a tuner to get those readings. As such, an aftermarket sensor and gauge will always be required.
@@procivic gonna revive this. Which after market gauges did you guys go with for this set up?
Great videos! Thanks a lot!
Really nice video
Can I do the same with a 2017 Honda Civic 2.0 liter?
Would this work alongside the PRL CVT cooler? Their mounted in a close if not the same location.
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this. We are not familiar with the other cooler mentioned and cannot guarantee it will not interfere with it.
How much more oil do you need to run?
By adding this you are adding restriction to oil flow... if exceeding regular restriction this could cause the oil to not circulate as well.....seems sketchy
Any exhaust coming out for the 10th gen Si in the near future?
+Dylan Stocking We know it's being worked on, but no solid news just yet. We'll make sure to add it to the site if and when it is out.
Thank you
Hi Rudy I’m just stall the oil cooler but the condenser I put the other way around,it thus matter.
As long as it is properly bolted up, it should be fine. The logo does not need to face a certain way.
guys acquired some help. vids are much more of quality!
+k24BeN We simply refined our way of recording and editing. Thank you for noticing!
Then you service as normally?
+Paul Na Ranong Yes, due to the way it's mounted and plumbed, most of the oil ends up back at the pan ready to be drained when needed.
Will this kit fit on the New Type-R?
+W & L Import Export - Luis Cheong This particular kit is designed for the 1.5L turbo motor. We don't have one ready for the Type R as of right now, but we may release one in the future.
Good job on the video!!! No offense but hope you get a haircut soon lol... 👍👍
Yes, we already told Rudy he is overdue. He expected this to be the first comment :)
Make one for the 9th Si guys.
+Mike A We currently don't have one ready, but we are working on one. Stay tuned for more.
Dooope
+Antonio Petaia-pilor Thanks for checking out the video! We like to think it's dope too! ;)
Does it make sense until you drive on track..As we know the new turbo 1.5 turbo is well cooled engine and has problems with warming up the engine and that leads to oil dilution...Does it make sense to cool down engine more for normal daily driving???
We mainly recommend this for heavily tuned vehicles or those that will be driven aggressively.
@@procivic Thank you for your answer
