If anyone ever tells you “Metal is just a bunch of angry screaming” then you can laugh at them whilst thinking of this masterpiece of an album. There is so much emotion in this music this is what every melo black metal band aspires to be. 11/10 would listen again
I mean, this isn't like avante garde music that eschews traditional tonalities or anything like that, but it's simple enough to dismantle the idea "that metal is just screaming noise" with something of an understanding of music theory.

I think this is the first album of 2021 that has really blown me away. So melodic and epic and yet still so raw, harsh and powerful. Absolutely well done!

There are a lot of bands/solo artists bringing out albums in this genre but this one definitely stands out! Love the gravelly guitar and bass sound. Great stuff! It's one of those albums that I can listen to beginning to end

The production is part of the intended experience. Wouldn't disagree with you if you said that a slightly more polished production would've added more but it is what it is.
