I'm not 70 but my favoured genres are jazz/fusion and bm/dm. I like Agalloch, Emperor, Wolves in the Throne Room, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Panoptycon, Ulcerate, old Opeth, White Ward and many others. This ES is just wonderful 🔥
There are people who will never appreciate black metal, or if they do may not possibly find "beauty" in its music. But this album, is beautiful.

I'm 59 years old and start listen black metal ( first my love - "Emperor" ) from 1996 (Anthems To The Welkin At Dust)

@@mattheyn6374 I’d say this is a sub genre being atmospheric black metal. Summoning and Caladan Brood got me into this. Bathory and Barzum etc with deliberately awful production are the proper Black Metal and I’m not a fan!

Today I found this project. And i searched on Facebook and got this:
"I feel that now Trisagion has had the chance to hit the wider space, now is the best time to announce the following: Trisagion will be the final Ethereal Shroud album.
This was planned from the beginning. I knew Trisagion would be the final work that I'd do as Ethereal Shroud. I'm thankful to those who have been aware but have respected my wishes to keep it secret and allow me the chance to announce this fact when I was ready. As a means of artistic expression, Ethereal Shroud has now said all it needs to say.
I'm unsure what's next for me, but I'll keep you all updated here with what comes next artistically from me.

Great album but it’s a misconception that this was a one man project. There was one permanent member in the band but multiple temporary “members” helped him make this album

@@korpurkorpur9655 Weird. You think that's overproduced? It was recorded at the legendary Abyss studios in Sweden. What do you mean by flat? What about the actual songwriting? That classic album is widely regarded as one of the best symphonic black metal albums of all time. Catchy melodies, great atmosphere and brilliant songwriting. Shagrath's voice is distinct and full of character. Each song is different. Rare in this genre. You should probably give it more of a chance.
This is absolutely beautiful. Loving how they make black metal sound so glorious.
A black metal staple. Should be heard much more often. I've listened to thousands upon thousands of metal tracks from all around the world and I haven't seen anything as fantastic and of such quality as this piece of music right here. This is an exemplar of excellence in composition.

noctus is one of the most down-to-earth guys out there and his project truly touched me. i'm glad he's taken the time to recoup from what was even without his admission an obviously taxing album; Trisagion is one of the most apparent labours of love and despair in all of metal.

My heart and soul are made happy on hearing this. Trisagion means the world to me. It was there for me in some very specific situations - pain, loss, despair, terror and uncertainty - and it was there for me. It helped me through. Its kind of hard to explain, but it has a huge connection and meaning to me. So I'm very happy to heart this news.
Uff... "Astral Mariner" brought me to Tears... this whole Album is a Masterpiece! thankfully this will get a vinyl release
I had never heard this album before. What an absolutely stunning masterpiece! This is black metal at its very best.
You know it's about to be good music when the intro is longer than an average pop song.
I listen to R&B and Abstract hip hop the most and some rock. But this right here is amazing af. Sounds so good 😫💯

37 year old person here. I love most music genres but always have gravitated toward rock. I listened to metal a bit in high school and here-and-there from friends. I recently dove into the world of metal and wow.... this genre has so much to offer and is very powerful. This album in particular I've shared with many people. This album is very powerful. I've listened on repeat while working for days. Hats Off to this band!

I just discovered this a couple of days ago. I'm saddened to read that the project will be disbanded, but thankful to have learned of its existence. The album is beautiful, and the artwork makes me think of a hive city from Warhammer 40k.
Such dark lyrics, yet so much beauty in this music.
4 songs yet almost far over 1 hour.
And I was very rarely so absorbed by an album.
I was already sold the first time I heard "They bacame the falling ash". Truth spoken, I didn't expect him to top that album and here it is ]:)

Nah man there’s quite a few projects that compare to this it’s good but thinking it’s all that unique is kind of funny. Atmospheric Black metal is endless and it’s almost all good.
