Resident Evil 2, known in Japan as Biohazard 2, is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom and released for the PlayStation in 1998. The player controls Leon S Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who must escape Raccoon City after its citizens are transformed into zombies by a biological weapon two months after the events of the original Resident Evil.

For people who are watching this in place of playing it, i's really not the full experience. A lot of the horror comes from the stiff controls, small item management, and sense of dread when you waste a bullet.

Item management, running back through infested areas with low ammo, and I suppose the controls are a "nightmare" lol. Still a great experience to this day.

The replayability was high in this one, replay factor. The old game could interact with the second scenario, could even save items for Claire and vice-versa if you wanted. The remake is great but it is also a joke in that part

Amazing editing! There are alot of severe plot holes in this game. Like 31:14 37:19 42:47. I mean at 42:47 William looks like a person who has just injected G-Virus, but and 31 and 37 his arm is already mutated and he has the pipe. Unfortunately they didn't fix any of them in the Remake.

My favorite RE game of all time. Though the continuity within it was always flawed. REmake 2 was definitely superb in every possible way…. Except the continuity. The ONLY reason I couldn’t grant the remake a 10/10 was because they completely ruined the continuity itself. Other than that that game deserves all the praise.

There is one of the remakes on gamers little playground but I don't think there is one for the originals. I could be wrong.

Mr.X is so huge when he gets too close to you he punches you and he goes down when you don't bullets into him but then he gets back up mr. X is no joke he's there to kill you

Which finale music are you referring to? Actually in the original Resident Evil timeline Claire A Leon B is the canon story, so she did not fall down the shaft like in the remake. This is also backed up every game they released after, (Umbrella Chronicles, Darkside Chronicles) which both have at least partially canon representations of what happened and both depict her being attacked by the tyrant as her “death”. Even Operation Raccoon City depicted that scene as the canon one though the game itself is not.

Playing the remake on Steam and yet I still prefer this version for story, one thing sure is they both move faster than the bloody remake

Pleas turn on auto gen subs and go to 20 mins when Leon meets Ada and you go through the door after moving the police van it think he says 808 but really says Ada Wait

Maybe you've been playing scenario A on both characters.
When you beat scenario with Claire you unlock Leon B and if you clear Leon A you unlock claire B.

Honestly, the remake could’ve been good, but they left out a lot of key moments and story to make the game successful. If anything, the original will always be the best. Plus I like the fact you kill a zombie with 1-2 shots to the head not 8-9 shots like the remake.
Agreed. I love the remake but it left out too much. And as for 3 Remake... let's not talk about that one.
is it just me or is Annette's VA the only real VA on the cast. the rest feel amateurish
I mean, many were still early in their Careers... but Allyson Court will always be Claire Redfield to me

@@duobrownAllison Court was awesome in RE2 too. Her voice really brought dynamics to Claire’s character. So badass, also sounds caring but at the same time very firm tone. She is Claire, and the only one best voicing Claire.
How the hell did Annette think William would still know her in that monsterous state in fairness she kind walked into her own death there
funny thing is she had told Clare William lost all memory of who he was because of the g virus earlier in the game.
Probably the same reason she gets mad at Leon for “killing” William in the other timeline

God, the writing and acting in these original games was beyond terrible. Some people love to slam the remakes but I just can't see how anyone with a pulse could possibly respect these antiquated unintentional comedy farces that much.

It's not horrible. It's the mixing, and timing of the lines sometimes. It stops suddenly. Lol
@@buhrrito The voice acting in this game is pretty good for it's time. If you want comically abysmal, then go look up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It was released a year before RE2. you can also look up clips of the infamous "Jill Sandwich" voiceovers for the first Resident Evil.
Because voice acting in video games SUCKED back in the late 90's. Voice acting in video games took a long time to get to the level it's at now.
But in it's defense, RE2's voice acting was not great but it was alot better than the voice acting of RE1.
