Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles are real good for people who are more interested in the story. Especially since they add additional stories, like what happened to Ada and how Wesker survived the mansion.
Wesker is the best true villain in RE. I will say though that there have only been like 2 real RE games after he dies. 6 was meh but 7 had some of the absolute best antagonists in RE history. They weren't villains per-se, they were just really well flushed out crazies. In particular, the son has potential to be a truly evil character. Though I still like Wesker the most, that boy from RE 7 can still do a bit more to make the series interesting.
My biggest gripe will always be that Rebecca didn't know who Chris and Jill are. You're part of the Same special tactics unit stationed in the same police office. How did she NOT know them????
She was the newcomer of the Bravo team. Perhaps she knew them by name, but actually never had the chance to meet them in person. They were in the same department but not on the same office.

I was also impressed how they've managed to keep Richard around just a little longer by allowing him to survive his snake bite only to sacrifice himself for Chris by allowing the Neptune to eat him instead. Not to mention how both Richard and Rebecca were able to actually meet up with both Chris and Jill.
I've always wondered why Jill broke that zombies neck with her thighs, because: 1) a broken neck shouldn't be enough to finish a zombie 2) the zombie could literally bite her unprotected thighs easily

Both Stars Teams underwent the same training where as the previous night had both S.T.A.R.S and a ex-Military Officer whose training would have been different than Stars leading to more variety in what he was testing. Hell, I'm surprised that in the Remake of the First Game, Wesker's lines weren't changed to accommodate the events of the previous game and his recognition of it.
This game is a lot of fun and even fixes some weird story issues. I just wish Darkside Chronicles hadn't messed with the formula by adding the constantly shaking camera. Especially since Operation Javier is so good, but not even that makes me want to deal with the camera.

I have to ask, What was the point of sending Nemesis when Jill was the only Stars member there? Both Chris and Rebecca were elsewhere so there would have been little point sending it unless all three of them were together.
My guess is Umbrella didn't know Chris and Rebecca weren't there. Remember that even Claire didn't know Chris wasn't in Racoon City. And it wasn't just Jill, Brad Vickers was there too.
Umbrella likely didn't know Chris was gone since he somewhat went AWOL with only Jill and Barry knowing of his plans. Brad was there though also and Nemesis was dispatched more as a way for Umbrella of Europe to just show their superiority over the American Division by showing the advances they'd made in the Tyrant Project by having it kill specific targets.

It sort of does render Leon's monologue a bit useless, since it was a court case and a guilty verdict that actually caused Umbrella's downfall, but I guess you could say that the verdict would've caused its stocks to crash, so you could say it was also technically true.

I think that might be because Chronicles is working more off of the original material intended for 0. From everything I've seen the "Young" version of Marcus looks like it was an extremely late addition to the game since almost all of the concept art only shows Marcus in his elderly state, so when making Umbrella Chronicles they may have just left it out due to that like how Darkside follows more along with some of the original material intended for Code Veronica.

In resident Evil outbreak file 2, Yoko’s ending involved her testifying against umbrella. So even before RE 4 umbrella had already been taken to court
