So my black cherry desert eagle would be banned, not to mention all the pink and purple guns I got for my daughter. Our government is filled with idiots
They want to ban the color, not the firearm, so you could convert it to a non-deceptively colored firearm by changing it to an approved color. The part I am curious to see how it is supposed to work is the part where, after you have converted it to a non-deceptively colored item, it must be permanently incapable of being converted BACK into a deceptively colored firearm. So possibly the people who need to convert their firearms to non-deceptively colored ones would only be able to do so legally if those persons also took upon themselves the task of removing from public access any and all coloring agents that are not of the 'approved' colors. Sounds simple enough, after all this Bill would make it illegal to possess any non-approved color for any coloring agent that could theoretically be used to 'deceptively' color any firearm. Should pretty much end Sherman Williams, Dupont, Rustoleum and anyone else making coloring agents other than black, brown, grey, dark green or silver. I've seen people paint their cars with house paint. Surely a firearm could be colored with house paint, water colors, crayons, sharpies - Oh My! The Horror!! Good thing Michigan has such intelligent and protective legislators looking out for Public Safety.

?? Regulation of a finish? What good would that do? Whats next.. Car colors?
I left Michigan, a state that I was born and raised in, when I was 17-years old to join the U.S. of Army and never looked or went back. I have lived in Georgia ever since leaving the service. I went to Michigan one time and realized very quickly why I had left. The state wasn't that bad when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, but today no way would I live there.
I hear ya
@@TheFirearmGuy I was born in Alpena and spent my early years in Onaway and Millersburg. The family moved to Bay City when I was ten years old. After my Father died, my Mother and I moved to Royal Oak, Madison Heights, Ferndale, and then Hazel Park. It seemed the further South we moved, the worse it got. My only way out was to join the service. I did ponder living in Michigan when I left the service, but one major thing kept me from doing so - the strict firearm laws that existed (and that still exists). Although I was not raised in a gun-loving family, the military introduced me to them and the journey with them began.
When I was stationed at Fort Gordon (now Fort Eisenhower), Georgia, and got my first carry permit, I knew that I had found a home. Been here and have carried ever since (54 years).
@@RangeRoninChronicles born in Southgate, MI moved out in 88 been in free America since (Georgia). I have been out to Fort Gordon many times neighbor.
@@raz636man A fellow Michigander! Cool!
Abolish the ATF!
I have a Wnchester Ranger 30.30...think model 94... with a gold trigger. I guess this is gonna be illegal in MI now. What about sights? White, orange, red, green. Hmmm, sounds like the law of unintended consequences is getting ready to appear.
I want to get out of MI this States Government is disgusting.
Michigan does not respect the ConstitutioN , maybe the Citizens need to stop paying taxes to the rIghts violators and make very clear we don't respect their ConstiTutional right to Rule
It's hard these days to even know if you're still a law abiding gun owner. That's why people freak out!
Amen brother!
Wow, wacked out like Washington State, California, and Oregon
Hey Dan, you think some appeals courts will throw some of these laws out? Or do they have to wait until there’s standing or someone arrested over it?
The coloring on the guns should be encouraged because it makes each weapon much more identifiable. If you have a purple pistol with yellow hello kitty logos all over it, it will be very hard to claim that gun want yours. And also, it's very unlikely that a false accusation would survive the question of "what color was the weapon in question?"
Boy Michigan it's pretty bad too
And….we will do absolutely nothing about it.
Dan what do you mean ,that’s gonna change,is someone going to sue the state over these unconstitutional actions?
Good video Firearm Guy
You can buy camouflage tape that is specifically designed to wrap around a firearm. I use the white and black tape when I am predator hunting in the winter.
there is no state registration on long guns in michigan. only on handguns. so why are you saying there is.
You are out of date. Every pirchase , pistol or long gun, is now registered. including private sales.
@@mrmicro22 in michigan a handgun has to be taken to the sheriff department and registered. long guns do not. if i buy a long gun from a private person no one knows except the buyer and seller. i have lived there 70 years and it has always been this way and still is.
Wow the color of a gun is also to blame for murder dang that’s a new one to me
