      They want to ban the color, not the firearm, so you could convert it to a non-deceptively colored firearm by changing it to an approved color. The part I am curious to see how it is supposed to work is the part where, after you have converted it to a non-deceptively colored item, it must be permanently incapable of being converted BACK into a deceptively colored firearm. So possibly the people who need to convert their firearms to non-deceptively colored ones would only be able to do so legally if those persons also took upon themselves the task of removing from public access any and all coloring agents that are not of the 'approved' colors. Sounds simple enough, after all this Bill would make it illegal to possess any non-approved color for any coloring agent that could theoretically be used to 'deceptively' color any firearm. Should pretty much end Sherman Williams, Dupont, Rustoleum and anyone else making coloring agents other than black, brown, grey, dark green or silver. I've seen people paint their cars with house paint. Surely a firearm could be colored with house paint, water colors, crayons, sharpies - Oh My! The Horror!! Good thing Michigan has such intelligent and protective legislators looking out for Public Safety.

Best thing to do in that situation is to remind the agent " my name is Mr. (your last name) and you name is special agent (their last name)". Then asked what specifically do they want.

    All stores are required by law to show these files to ATF agents when they visit the store. They then use their cellphones to record them input them into their database when they get back to the office. Unless you purchase from a private seller they have your info.

I have none of what this proposal describes as "will be" a problem, never got into that, but it's horrifyingly juvenile and counterproductive. One hard cocaine binge and these legislators are "out to save the world," not pleased.

  • @notsosilentmajority1
    @notsosilentmajority1 15 дней назад +3

    What not many people talk about is the fact that all of this is the fault of the voters. Also, people may not like to hear it, but as more and more women have become involved in politics and become lawmakers, governors, etc., they have decided to make laws based on feelings and emotions.. What most people also forget is that politicians are supposed to do the will of the people, not do things based on their personal opinions or feelings. Politicians' jobs are to do what the people want, instead they do what they want. They think because they won an election that they know better than everyone else and that they know what's best for people. No truth to that whatsoever. The voters really need to be educated in so many ways, but politicians like to keep the sheep in line and schools are not really teaching things the way they used to.

      @@TheFirearmGuy I was born in Alpena and spent my early years in Onaway and Millersburg. The family moved to Bay City when I was ten years old. After my Father died, my Mother and I moved to Royal Oak, Madison Heights, Ferndale, and then Hazel Park. It seemed the further South we moved, the worse it got. My only way out was to join the service. I did ponder living in Michigan when I left the service, but one major thing kept me from doing so - the strict firearm laws that existed (and that still exists). Although I was not raised in a gun-loving family, the military introduced me to them and the journey with them began.
      When I was stationed at Fort Gordon (now Fort Eisenhower), Georgia, and got my first carry permit, I knew that I had found a home. Been here and have carried ever since (54 years).

    The coloring on the guns should be encouraged because it makes each weapon much more identifiable. If you have a purple pistol with yellow hello kitty logos all over it, it will be very hard to claim that gun want yours. And also, it's very unlikely that a false accusation would survive the question of "what color was the weapon in question?"
