My go to channel for years now, if I need information when ordering a vacuum or floor cleaner or just to keep track of development in the field. I appreciate the transparency you bring to this industry, but I strongly feel that it’s time for a repairability score to be integrated into your reviews - it could dramatically impact purchasing decisions for people.
    For example: the Metrovac was dinged for its high price - but the Metrovac seems to be the *only* company on this list that willingly and easily sells individual parts for repairs (motors, gaskets, switches, etc.) as opposed to whole modules or worse, dark patterns encouraging users to just “buy a new one”.
    The right for individuals and independent shops to repair products has been eroded year after year. I have to imagine there are other like-minded reviewers of the channel who would rather spend $[3X] on a vacuum once than $[X] every 3 years.
    All that said: Keep up the good work, your time spent and contributions to the space are not going unnoticed!

I prefer the big heavy one on wheels with a long hose so it could just stay behind me and roll around as I clean the car. Craftsman has an even more powerful six horsepower full size. Seems KÄRCHER in the UK has a more extensive lineup; I use a WD5 with the optimal claw attachment as we have three cars to look after, but most people on the UK use a Henry vacuum, due to their long hose and high suction power, and they do car cleaning sets as well. I find the Dyson cordless vacuums too cumbersome, although i take the floor mats out and clean them with the torque drive head on m v15, so it still has its uses.

    The only attachment that probably 90% of detailer use is the credos tool. The rest of the attachments are pretty much pointless, and it’s just way to time consuming to switch attachments all the time. If a brush is needed then it’s the crevice tool in one hand and a detailing brush in the other. If u were to test them in that sense I bet u would have slightly different results.

    I think the market is ripe for Shark to throw its hat in the ring for a specifically designed car vacuum of their own. Though I have used my Shark Rocket Complete and and my Shark Vertex to clean my truck, I'd love to see what they'd be able to pull off in terms of a car/wet-dry vacuum.

    question is whether it's even worth it to get something like this if you already have a shark vertex pro lift away, that's already pretty portable (though i don't know the optional attachments)

      We really love the versatility of the lift up / lift away vacuums!

    Would you consider testing out steam cleaners? More so the high capacity cleaners than the hand held ones.

    What’s the difference between airflow and suction and what does that mean for every day vacuuming

    You say suction is more important than airflow, but simply adding the numbers together. Favors airflow.

      @Ashurus Год назад +3

      Yes, I had to review the graphs separately and I went with the Vacmaster for high suction and high enough airflow.

    Can you review the Quantum X upright vacuum

    • @MaryB_TN
      @MaryB_TN Год назад

      Hi. I bought Quantum X a year and a half ago, so I can give you my opinion. I wanted a water filtration vacuum for 30 years. I saw a Rainbow demo and really liked the concept of water as a filter. When I saw an upright version from Quantum, I got it right away. At first....I was in love with it. It really does have powerful suction and picked up so much stuff. But it's not high quality. The cover on the back for the hose port has a rubber piece that broke right away. The hose attachments aren't easy to use. I gave up using attachments. It's very heavy. I can not carry it upstairs and downstairs...no carry handle to distribute the weight. So then I had to choose between keeping it upstairs where my floors are carpeted or down, where I have hardwood and tile. The water basin gets badly stained if you use their fragrances. A few times, it just stopped running, even though it was connected to power, and I had to put it upright, then try again. It's also rather awkward to push. There's no doubt it's a powerful vacuum, but I was very disappointed with it overall. I'm trying to sell it, in fact. I ended up getting the Sirena canister water filtration vacuum. All the features of the Rainbow but only 1/5th the cost. Never had a canister before, but I truly love it because it's SO versatile, can clean everything, has an air purification function, and has high-quality hoses, attachments, etc. Sirena also has a HEPA filter at the exhaust as a backup in addition to the water filtration so the air is super clean and purified. Quantum X doesn't have an air purification funtion. If you do try the Quantum X, you have to pay shipping if you decide to return it. Some people do love it, but not me, not anymore. I hope this helps.
