What are some of the ways you simplify your natural hair washday?

💫✨ What an enjoyable, beautiful 😍 video! Honestly, I think I have 1 - 4c hair interspersed throughout my head. If I’m being honest, though, I have to admit that I adore 4c hair the most… It has such ‘personality’ and buoyancy; its shrinkage is wonderfully deceptive in that it can snuggle comfortably in close proximity to the ear 👂🏾 and uncoil from its comfort zone and stretch out to great lengths ; truly amazing 🤩 ‘hairabilities’. I really admire how you care for your lovely hair and thank you for such a detailed and relaxing video; it’s obvious that your hair appreciates You because you appreciate your hair. 🥰 💫✨

I do the same method after I wash my hair but after that I do mini twist and keep it for 1 month, and every 2 or 3 days I moisturize it. I used to use herbal tea to moisturize with aswel but I stopped because it seem to dirty my hair before my wash day since I wash once a month. But apart from that the herbal tea does great achievement to your hair. Keep it up girl your hair looks really healthy.😍👍❤

I'm very impressed that you moisturize your hair without any conditioners (no leave-in, deep conditioners, styling creams, etc.). Throughout my hair journey, I've come to realize that I don't need styling creams or butters because a good leave-in conditioner sealed properly is enough, but I have not yet been able to make my hair feel soft and moisturized without a leave-in conditioner. I don't use shampoo on my hair (only mud wash) and am looking to further improve that step by switching to bentonite clay thanks to inspiration from your previous video, and then I deep condition - not because my hair is dry, but mainly as a means to detangle my hair in the gentlest way I can manage so far. After that I moisturize with a leave-in conditioner and castor oil and and my hair stays moisturized for over a week as long as I style it properly. Would you say that your moisturizing routine of tea and infused oil makes your hair feel soft and conditioned in addition to abating dryness? I just feel like even if my hair isn't dry, just sealing with oil after washing would leave my hair not feeling soft.

Your routine sounds similar to mine, I've used leave I a few years back and my hair would be dry easily and oiling with a penetrating oil first on damp hair has worked the best, I typically apply butter a few days after when I'm detangling the twists midway to the next wash day. I have also seen that I hardly need leave ins because some of the herbs are conditioning. I am going to do a henna mask soon, my last was 3 months back with Indigo I can't even explain how that makes my hair feel. I believe that the henna protects my hair from protein loss which I fortify through diet so I don't do protein treatments that much on occasion I might in which case I love silk protein conditioners.

My routine is different, but the ease of wash time is the same. It doesn't take long and I tend to do it every 5 -7 days depending on how oily my scalp is. For me, scalp oiling isn't necessary because I have a naturally oily scalp. I also keep my hair going in the same downward direction during cleansing and detangling. I do use a detangling tool because my coils won't let me easily remove shed hair, but I totally agree that the Denman is a terrible tool for detangling.
