Proper tightening technique... You should add spring pressure by holding the nut and turning the handle on the cutting end to add pressure while rotating the cutting tool.
very good video im taking my bike frame to a mechanic to face my bottom bracket and re do the threads i noticed it today and watched your video....very good and clear !
Nice video Rob! I spend hours per bike masking, unmasking, and remasking so that my paint doesn't go where it should. I'm starting to use taps as well as needed. But I like the idea of using a facing tool if time permits to finish the job right so this maybe something to learn in the future.
I would say most shops or high end mechanics who would end up assembling the kind of frames you paint would normally address anything that would be off, but indeed if something came to me already well taken care of in this regard would end up with me recommending the painter highly. Care in work is always seen and appreciated by those who possess the ability to see it.

4:55... Tip, colour with sharpie. Which is actually Park Tools process
How do you face a carbon fiber shell?
Good tip. BUT.
Why did it take 9 minutes & 38 seconds to say "Use a sharpie if you don't have the correct layout fluid"?
Because "creators" get paid by the minute, they are charging the viewer/customer
@@janeblogs324Thank you.👍
That explains a lot as I couldn't understand why they waffle on so much before getting to the point.
