Cruisers beware…Booked a Retreat suite room 2134 on 12th floor of this ship. A 6 day cruise hitting Cabo and San Diego ports. Horribly noisy room day and night with food trolleys rolling over head. Like thunder the sound of thunder. I’m not joking that’s how loud it was. We found out that the room is located below a food prep area. Celebrity should provide a disclaimer and huge discount for anyone that books this room. It definitely should not be booked as a Retreat. We had to find other places to go for peace and quiet. For the inconvenience they offered us a room to sleep in at the very back of the ship on the 7th floor as they had no other comparable suites available and a small discount on a future cruise. Probably won’t sail with them again. The best part of the cruise was the excellent service and food in the Luminae. The crew in the restaurant were awesome.

Every cruise ship on every line has rooms under a cafe, pool, lounge etc. of course there will be noise. It is imcumbent on us to do our research. More your fault than Celebrity's, do you always complain this much about stuff you are responsible for?
Did you choose/sign up for the room yourself or did you use a travel agent? Very curious.

What a fantastic tour! You captured everything and your naration was so helpful but certainy not a bunch of yak for the sake of yak, LOL. I'm not on her until March 2025 for a TA but very excited. Looks to be in very good condition all things considered. Thanks again for this.

I'm used to this line and this is a proper Celebrity ship for me opposed to their newest ones, the Edge csss. If you like more exciting cruise, the Edge is somewhat more exciting. But I don't like it. I like this one, this class of ship vs. the Edge class of ships. Your tour is superb. Well done.

Hmm the same itinerary I am looking at on an Edge ship is about $1000 more . But could be worth it on sea days !?? Especially when I maybe going solo
That’s a tough one. It depends on where you place more value, on the savings or on the entertainment for sea days. There’s definitely not as much to do on this ship.

Definitely the clientele for Celebrity on this sailing is a tad too sophisticated for my liking. It 🎉just reminds me of going to a corporate office/building and lots of business people on vacation. Even the GYM got a different age group attending which is so amazing and even the DJ 😂. They do focus on dessert looking amazing. Overall really elegant ship with nice amenities and the real grass 🤯
It was very different. You should’ve heard the music that was being played during the sail away party lol. It had us laughing hysterically definitely not your normal Sailaway party. Did you guys happen to do our survey we posted yesterday about posting different content on our channel?

Hi Sean, if I remember correctly the water was heated and we were wondering the exact same thing. It was definitely a different crowd of people from what we’re used to sailing with lol
Yes, I am considering cruising this ship on a 9 day ABC island in November. While I like that I don't see a bunch of kids running around, it seems as if this crowd was half asleep? Is that a fair assessment? Good info!
That is a great assessment. It was definitely an older crowd!
@ShugAlansAdventures the only celebrity cruise I have done was a Mediterranean, and i was 38 my Ex was 41. We were definitely some of the youngest people on it. Now I am 53 but I still don't want to be around sleepy inactive seniors . Although I am now nearly a senior ! I don't always act like one!

@@ShugAlansTravelChannel If that is true, I think we will be the younger of the older crowd. Whatever! I'm sure we'll enjoy our 11 day cruise. Note : On the Cruise Critic boards for our Sept. 17 cruise, there seem to be a lot of cruisers younger than us (75). We enjoy all ages!

I am watching all the videos I can for our Sept. 17 cruise. Yours was fantastic❣ I have a confession to make--I watch all videos at 1.25 or 1.5 speed. If I want to catch something special, I slow down the video and watch it at normal speed. Susan Motschman
That’s hilarious, we actually do the same thing when we watch other Vlogs. We play them at a faster speed and if we see something that looks interesting we stop it rewind it a little little bit and watch that part.

I waa nodding my head when you said "older crowd." Then I thought, "Wait a minute. At 75 I AM the older crowd." We'll be aboard in September, Boston-Quebec City-Boston. our first Celebrity cruise since 1996! Looking forward to piano music, theater shows, padded lounges facing the sea--just begging to mesmerize you into a little nap, the grassy area and lots of etcs! We could only afford an inside room, but it's near one of our favorite spots, The Library, so we're okay. I'm so glad we found this video as it was great--and I'm taking notes. Hi NurseTara04, to be honest we haven’t been on the summit to give you an honest comparison but our look is cruising is beautiful no matter what ship you’re on. We’re fortunate to be able to and always try and look for the positives of every cruise ship we’re on. We just love being on the water by any means necessary lol. @@ShugAlansTravelChannel I would have to say I absolutely agree. We are fairly new cruisers, took our first in May 2023. We’ve to date been on 4 cruises and looking forward to our 5th this May. We haven’t sailed on any “big” ships yet as Baltimore is our home port, but Bayonne NJ is a short 3 hour drive, which is where we’ll be sailing on the Eclipse from.
We of course love cruising in general but we really love the big ships like Royals Oasis class and of course the newer Icon class. There’s just so much to do that seven days isn’t really long enough.
To be your fifth cruise and you just started cruising in May of last year is awesome. We always say once you take that first cruise you’re addicted lol
@@ShugAlansTravelChannel Yes after our 1st cruise I came home and booked 3 more cruises 😂 I’m certainly addicted! We will be on our first big ship in October on Symphony of the seas. I’m very excited about that! Then again in December we’ll be on Odyssey OTS.

I am going on my 13th cruise. I’m leaving from Buenos Aires to Antarctica and back in February on this ship. It will be my home for 14 days. Thank you for the tour so I can see what to expect. I just took my 3rd cruise on the Holland American line, 1st cruise after the pandemic, and I was greatly disappointed by the food. I’m hoping this trip will be all joy.

I was not happy with the buffet at all, Shug loved it. She likes things like the stirfry and to be honest it didn’t get any better for me so I hope it does for you. Either way you’re on a cruise ship and life doesn’t get any better than that 😊. I hope you still have a great cruise!
