Thank you for being an awesome activities manager, Bennie! We saw you all over the ship and your hard work really shows because the activities on this ship were great!
Been on a dozen+ cruises, and going on the Reflection a second time. I have been on the Beyond as well, and although its much newer, celebrity as a cruise line rarely skimps on renovating and providing the best possible experience even on its more older ships. This is in stark contrast to other ships, even from Royal, who regularly undermaintain their older ships even though they are the owners of Celebrity line. I have been on Norwegian, Carnival, MSC, Royal, and hands down Celebrity has the best most highest quality food and dining of all of them, and its not even a close race. The crowd on celebrity is also a lot more mature and therefore less rowdy, which makes cruising relaxing.
I was wondering if you had time to enjoy the cruise doing such a very thorough video, but then I realized when you love what you do it’s never work. This video should come with every ticket. Great job as usual.
Thanks, Bob. It's always tough trying to balance work and fun when we're on one of these cruises. We know that if we are having fun it will show through in the video... but if we have too much fun there will be no video 😂 Thankfully we had four days to make two videos on this one, which does allow us more time to enjoy ourselves than when we try to make two videos on a three day cruise.
I've sailed on Celebrity for years. I've been on the Reflection twice and will be going on it again in November. It's an older ship, but well maintained. I've always found the service, food and entertainment to be top notch. I have eaten in the Tuscun Grill. Excellent food and service. Well worth the money.
Excellent video. My wife and I are going on C. Reflection in 2 months. We traveled on this ship back in 2012. We can't wait to go back. This will be our 7 Celebrity cruise vacation.
My wife and I will be doing our very first cruise on the Reflection this March 2025. I am a retired Commercial Airline Pilot and all of our vacations in the past were fly and hotel. This is a whole new experience for us and we a really looking forward to it.
We're excited to hear that you have your first cruise planned, Ray! I (Skylar) initially went to school to be an airline pilot. I got as far as my instrument rating and was beginning multi-engine when my instructor quit. At that time I switched to a career in finance and often looked back with a lot of uncertainty regarding that choice. Now that I'm out of the finance world and we've found a way to travel for a living I'm more than good with that decision, but often still wonder what life would have been like if I would have stuck with the pilot path! Anyways, we're glad you discovered our channel and we hope you have an awesome cruise next March!
What a gorgeous fun video. I love how you guys are so informative (with corresponding cool animation) while being so respectful of others. Also clever to have Skyler show up like the cheshire cat on the room couch! Hold on with both hands, Jaime!
Thank you so much, Bryant! We tried to show a bit more of our actual experiences in this tour while still keeping it informative and helping people to learn their way around the ship. Hopefully we accomplished that!
I just subscribed to your channel. Not sure how I haven't seen one of your videos before as I am an avid cruiser and love watching these types of videos. I cruise with Celebrity quite often but have not been on Reflection. I will be sailing on this ship in a couple of months. This ship is of course very similar to Solstice and Equinox which are in the same class. I have sailed on both of those ships (Equinox 4 times). Thank you for showing all of the details of the ship and for your professional demeanor and video production. Great job. I'll be watching from now on!
Thanks for subscribing. We're so glad you discovered our channel and enjoyed the video! We hope it helps you make the most of your upcoming cruise on the Reflection! We really hope to get on another Celebrity cruise or two in 2025.
Just booked a sailing with this ship for Sept 2025. Excited. Stayed on the Eclipse and loved it and will only sail Celebrity going forward. Got three sailings next yr. One on the Ascent, one on the Edge and then this one. Stoked..and great review of the ship thanks!
Glad to hear you'll be sailing on the Reflection next year and we hope our video helps you to make the most out of the experience! We really love Celebrity's older ships, but we're hoping to get on one of their newer ones sometime soon!
Thanks for sharing your experiences, Melvin! We have yet to cruise on one of the newer ships, but we hope to soon. We here they are quite a bit different than the older class of ships like the Reflection and Equinox.
@@Explorcation They're class ships. I don't like the Edge ships. There's no observation lounge like the Sky lounge, it's a very high-end specialty restaurant in that space only for suite passengers. The public areas all are stacked (the Club, Eden and the Martini Bar in the Grand Plaza). It's new but it'll get older just like the Solstice ships were new and got older. Too many restaurants and high end shops and I don't know. Celebrity lost their personality with these ships for me. The decor is pretty but not evocative of classic period social areas like on every Celebrity class of ships up to that point. Not saying it's bad, just not having the same level of character. For some it doesn't matter. But for me, going back to the Zenith/Horizon class of the 1990s, it does. For me the real test of a ship is when it has some age on it, not when it is the newest class.
Have to say I usually don't watch ship tours before I'm going to go on a ship but you guys have made an amazing job of detailing everything for everything is so that's really helpful thank you for this video🤗
Wow thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful comment! We definitely try to do our tours a little different than everyone else, and we're really glad you enjoyed this one!
Wow! This is such an incredible cruise experience. You guys did an amazing job covering everything and love the edits!! Really missed watching your videos and maybe one day if I can convince Steve, we will go on a cruise from the US as well. (He is only doing the ones outside of the US haha)
Thank you for tuning in and taking the time to comment! We feel like we're finally starting to get these cruise tours down, and are enjoying the process of making them a lot more! We really hope you two do get on a cruise out of the US one of these days. We'd love to see and hear about your experiences!
We love you two and your videos! As you may remember I don't think we're going to be going on a cruise anytime soon but if we do change our minds your efforts will have played a major part in that decision. Your videos and presentations are always entertaining and informative!
Thanks so much, guys! While we have no doubt you would LOVE the dining part of a Celebrity Cruise, we understand that they still may not be for you. That said, if you ever do decide to give it a try, it would be hard to recommend any other ship over this one to a foodie.
Thanks for this video, i have always been scare away from cruise ships due to the crowded areas, your video made me confirm that i was right.. . thanks
We love watching your videos! Your channel is a must watch for everything Florida related. The last few videos you’ve mentioned that Jamie isn’t drinking. Is there a baby on the way?!! If so, congratulations! If not, and you’re just making healthy changes, congratulations! ❤🎉
Thanks so much, Gina. We really appreciate you supporting the channel. Jamie still drinks on occasion, but it has to be something really good, as she occasionally gets severe migraines and alcohol can be something that triggers them.
We really hope you find our video to be helpful, regardless of whether it makes you decide to book or not to book! We honestly think the value of this cruise right now is off the charts, especially if you book within the next few months. Let us know if you decided to book or not!
Thank you! It really depends on what and how much you plan on drinking if it's worth it or not. Our opinion is that you have to be a pretty big drinker (or drink very expensive drinks) in order for the drink package to be worth it on Celebrity, but of course it's always nice to have the package and to never have to worry about how much a drinks costs on your cruise.
One thing I would change is the casino policy. It can be a little misleading because according to celebrity’s website, you can be 18 to gamble. 21 is only for Alaskan sailings. Great video though! I am going in November and cannot wait!
Thank you for another excellent ship tour. We cruised on the Reflection on 2012 and really enjoyed the ship. The food and service was very good. Last month RCL started to match the loyalty status with Celebrity, so we are Elite Plus. After watching your food review video we booked a cruise on the Silhouette for Feb. 2025 out of Port Everglades. Thank you again.
Dang you guys got to experience the Reflection when it was still pretty new! Even though it's much older now, we still love it. While the service may not be quite what we remember it being pre-COVID, it's still better than most major cruise lines and the quality of the food on the buffet is in a league of it's own. We are so happy to hear you'll be cruising on the Silhouette in February. We may have to look into that itinerary for ourselves!
@@Explorcation We normally cruise on RCL, but next year we are cruising on different cruise lines. Besides the Silhouette in Feb, we are doing Enchanted Princess in May, a Alaska cruise on HAL in May, MSC Seashore in October. Booked an inside MSC Yacht club for this one. We're glad you found the video to, Rick! Unfortunately we don't recall seeing a special biking/peloton room on this cruise ship, but we may have missed it. We know that many ships nowadays do have peloton rooms.
@@Explorcation So as it turns out, there's a dedicated spin bike studio that's only open during the scheduled spin classes, which is fine because there are also, 3 Peloton brand spin bikes available for anyone to use in the fitness center. And that gym is first rate with free weights as well as "LifeFitness" branded equipment---gym quality gear all around.. All this helped me maintain weight in spite of all the readily available food and treats throughout the ship. LOL. We loved the Reflection and we intend to find another cruise on these Solstice class ships. Thanks again for your feedback. Cheers!
It's a old ship needing refurbishing. State room furniture had cracks in the fake couch, blinds to block out patio were ripped and were hole ridden. Staff was great food was superb. Otherwise the client base was like deaths waiting room.
It definitely sounds like your room was in a lot worse condition than hours, but we would agree that areas of the ship are starting to show there age a bit.

We've never sailed on Princess but from what we've heard it's a comparable experience to Celebrity. Hopefully we'll be able to experience it for ourselves someday soon. Thanks for watching!
Obviously it would depend on the amount of cloud cover each night, but I would think that deck 16 would be a really good spot for star gazing on a clear night!
I’m going to celebrity reflection tomorrow, I rewatched your video, very helpful information, thanks. I heard you were allowed to bring the two bottles of wine, just double checking.
@@karenzhao8280 the FAQs on the Celebrity website specifically say that one 750 ml bottle of wine is allowed to be brought onboard at embarkation.... www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/all-faqs. Plus we can confirm that we were allowed to bring wine on during our cruise.
Looks very different from my last cruise on the MardiGras. Much quieter and less activities it seems. Perfect if that is what you are after. Also celebrity seems to focus on a lot of charge ups for food. I know every ship now has its specialty restaurants but it appears the only place you are not being charged extra is the buffet and dining room…and perhaps that bar with burgers? Not sure this would be the ship for me?
First time on cruise and noticed our dolphin excursion in key west is “strenuous “ . Didn’t sound too bad to me, mentioned walking 15 minutes and climbing ladder to get out of water and into boat. How do they grade the excursion difficulty?
That's a great question, Denise. We've been on excursions rated "strenuous" that at least for us were not very strenuous at all. I guess climbing a ladder for some people would be considered "strenuous" though. If you are in reasonably good shape, I would think you'd be just fine on that excursion.
The maximum price of the drinks that are included in the package is higher for the premium package than for the classic. Last I checked Classic included drinks up to $10 and Premium included drinks up to $17. If you order drinks that cost above the maximum amount for either package you just pay the difference.
we going on this cruise the first week of September to celebrate our 30 anniversary. I can't wait. I just came back from Utopia of the Seas and I did not like it. Is a Big party boat.
Sounds like a great way to celebrate your 30th! We haven't been on the Utopia yet, but have definitely heard some mixed reviews. I'd definitely expect the Reflection to be a much chiller vibe. We hope you have a wonderful anniversary!
Thanks for answering a question I had. My wife’s not a big liquor drinker, so she will have to with me to the free liquor tasting and give me hers! And I love bourbon!!!
You can definitely request it, but I'm not sure you'll get it. If you have a dining time before dark, I would think those spots would be in pretty high demand. I'd do so ahead of time (via email) and perhaps again when you get on the ship to increase your chances.
Me a year ago: I doubt I'll ever go on a cruise, so maybe I'll just skip these cruise videos, good though they undoubtedly are Me now: I know the layout of the entire MSC fleet and have ranked the cruise lines by preference 😛 (Also, Paulaner Salvator rocks 🤟)
😂 We're so happy you ended up deciding to give our cruise content a shot, even if you don't ever become an avid cruiser. And yeah, it was a good thing I didn't have the drink package on that ship, or I would have drank every one of those Paulaner Salvators!
Hi was just on this ship july 8 -12, cuisine was a laser projection on your plate with characters telli g you how it was made. When we were their the interior of the ship was dark and gloomy, felt like deaths waiting room. We have over 70 cruises under our belt. Maybe it was a different crowd but was lack luster and dated with furniture in disrepair. The ship needs to go for a refurbishment.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Our cruise was kind of the opposite. It was full of teenagers... most of who (thankfully) were pretty well behaved and quite entertaining. We did cruise during the summer though when kids are out of school, so we're sure that makes a big difference.
If you’re driving down and staying at a hotel the day before your cruise. Some hotels in the area of the port have parking as low as $8 per day while you’re on the cruise. Although you’ll have to pay for the Uber ride to and from the ship, it’s a lot cheaper than paying the $25 per day parking charge at the port.
That is an excellent tip. We usually drive from the Tampa Bay area and park at one of the Park N' Fly type of places that shuttle you to the airport. But if were staying at a hotel the night before, we would definitely be looking into a hotel that allows parking beyond your stay.
Stating that it's dated just means that it doesn't appear to be modern. The ship is now 12 years old, and in the bathroom it definitely shows. We're not complaining.... it's really not a big deal to us, but to some people it is, which is why we point it out.
Worst cruise ship ever! No genuine Retreat (RIPOFF) on board. Stayed in a royal Suite, the ONLY decent thing onboard. Above deck was filled with hundreds of cheap loungers. Nothing to do save your money and sail on any other ship. TOTALLY BORING LAME ship with mediocre service.

@@Explorcation yes, that’s right!
Confused..... Did y'all have the drink package??? 😄😄😄
No we did not have the drink package on this ship, but we did still partake a bit here and there!
Have you been on celebrity apex. What are your thoughts
Not yet but hopefully sometime soon!
What is the difference between the classic drink package and the premium package and is there a extra charge
Sailing on Reflection on 9/16!!
Wow that's tomorrow! We hope you have an amazing time, Scott. I'm sure you're excited!
Thanks for answering a question I had. My wife’s not a big liquor drinker, so she will have to with me to the free liquor tasting and give me hers! And I love bourbon!!!
No problem! And yes, definitely bring your wife with you and drink ALL the bourbon!
We’re sailing in the Reflection in Nov. Will we be able to request a table for two (each night) by a window? ( Again really like your vlogs )
You can definitely request it, but I'm not sure you'll get it. If you have a dining time before dark, I would think those spots would be in pretty high demand. I'd do so ahead of time (via email) and perhaps again when you get on the ship to increase your chances.
@@Explorcation THANKS! Never thought of emailing.
hello. are all the drinks and meals included?
Meals are included. Some non alcoholic drinks are included, but alcoholic drinks are only included if you buy a separate beverage package.
Me a year ago: I doubt I'll ever go on a cruise, so maybe I'll just skip these cruise videos, good though they undoubtedly are
Me now: I know the layout of the entire MSC fleet and have ranked the cruise lines by preference
😛
(Also, Paulaner Salvator rocks 🤟)
Do you have any positives to share about this ship?
Thanks for sharing your experience! Our cruise was kind of the opposite. It was full of teenagers... most of who (thankfully) were pretty well behaved and quite entertaining. We did cruise during the summer though when kids are out of school, so we're sure that makes a big difference.
@elizabethw.454 it was very quiet, and the fresh baked breads was a 10 plus
If you’re driving down and staying at a hotel the day before your cruise. Some hotels in the area of the port have parking as low as $8 per day while you’re on the cruise. Although you’ll have to pay for the Uber ride to and from the ship, it’s a lot cheaper than paying the $25 per day parking charge at the port.
That is an excellent tip. We usually drive from the Tampa Bay area and park at one of the Park N' Fly type of places that shuttle you to the airport. But if were staying at a hotel the night before, we would definitely be looking into a hotel that allows parking beyond your stay.
@@Explorcation We booked the Resident Inn in Fort Lauderdale. We’ve never stayed there, so I can’t give any kind of review.
So this ship allows no smoking at all?
From what we recall, there was at least one smoking section on the ship.
@@Explorcation ty
why is the stateroom dated? as long as it's clean. The bathroom is large for a cruise. stop complaining
