    Thanks! Your videos on Synth V showcases it much better than anything else I've seen. I'ts very, very impressive - and I'm highly tempted to buy it.

      It’s a bit expensive but a lot of fun. I’m not exactly musical but I’ve got two songs done already and think they actually sound decent (don’t mind the topic I write the lyrics together with my kids).

    Awesome, thanks for the video! I just bought the synth and went for Ninezero, but I really struggle to make it sound good comparing to other youtube covers with it.. Have you tried the library?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад

      I haven't tried Ninezero but the principles should be the same. Although some voices do have more "articulations" (soft, airy etc.)

    Thanks for the great info with editing multiple parameters, I thought you could only do one. Quick question, if you originally do the melody in a daw, then bring the midi file into Synth V, does the velocity have any effect on the timbre of the voices. Just wondering if one needs to edit the velocities before bring it in. Thanks in advance.

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад

      MIDI velocity does nothing in Synth V. I'd be more interested in Synth V responding to note and pitch bend data... that way you could use the Audio to MIDI export directly into Synth V and retain a very realistic performance.

      @@mixphantom0101 Well, thanks for letting me know. It will be interesting to see how well the latest version of Synth V will allow individual control of vibrato in a note in instant mode (which will now be called singing mode) since they've now incorporated rapping into the program. Just what the world needed a rapping synth.. :)

  • @joeyoutube456
    @joeyoutube456 Год назад +2

    Thanks for this! I was wondering if you had any experience with rap vocals in synth v as I’m not sure how I’d go about this?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +2

      I'm not sure you'll ever get a good "rap" out of this voice. The Synthesizer V engine is certainly up for it if someone makes an A.I. voice for rapping.

    • @strucked568
      @strucked568 Год назад

      I was just on Dreamtonics twitter and they mentioned they would be doing something with Rapping in a new update that's coming with cross-lingual for Cantonese singing. Although I'm not entirely sure if its a specific AI vocal bank they were teasing or if it would be a vocal mode/feature of some sort. They announced it back in Late February, right before the start of March so we should be seeing something fairly soon I hope. I'm just hoping it may help with trying to make talking dialogue easier. XD I hate trying to figure it out normally.

      @@strucked568 FYI, Synthesizer V 1.9 adding a pretty comprehensive rapping feature, and several voicebanks support it. There are beta versions of Solaria and Asterian with support too.

    • @mixphantom0101

      Vocaloid has potential but pales in comparison to Synth V with A.I. voices. No experience/opinion/interest in Emvoice... I laid my money down and plan to get the most out of Synth V

      Bought EmVoice before Synthesizer V. But compared to this it‘s failing big time. Now I‘m only using Synthesizer V. That program has potential. And we‘re only at Version 1.8. I can’t imagine where this tool will be in 5 years from now.
      Unfortunately it hasn‘t got a lot of English voices so far.

    I use Synth V I really like it, but when I'm developing a voice track, and put a new note in Synth V puts so much pitch variation on the notes I have to go in all the time and basically level the pith variation out on every note is there a way to make the note with no variation, leaving it up to me to add variation or Vibrato where I want to have it. i.e. leaving it up to me rather than Synth V generating what I don't want? Would appreciate help/advise thanks.

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +1

      If you disable the "instant" render feature you will get no vibrato and can use the "sliders" to set your rate etc. Or, you could try drawing it in.

    @mixphantom, is there a way to export a vocal audio recording to midi, using for instance, Melodyne, then importing the midi into Synth V for replication???

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +1

      Absolutely, but in my experience the MIDI generated from Melodyne is messy and needs tons of cleanup. More interesting is a script that someone developed to take the "pitch" curves created from a live vocal from Melodyne and import them into Synthesizer V! It's not perfected yet, but that would make the performance more natural (providing the original real life vocal was good).

    Thank you for the excellent videos. They have been very helpful. I have a question for you about an issue I’ve been having. I’m on windows 10 and after working with the software for about an hour it seems to have an issue to where it won’t allow me to put in any new notes no matter what I do or click it simply stops working. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software it fixed the issue for a short time but now it’s doing this again. Any idea why this happens? Thank you 🙏

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад

      It's strange this appears to happen "in time" (time problems are usually thermal... ie fails due to a specific component overheating). Usually software works or it doesn't... as you've tried reinstalling, my next move would be to refresh Windows - easiest way would be to upgrade to V11

    Maybe I’m missing something but why isn’t the automation response reflected in the ‘soft’ slider during playback like it is with the ‘passionate’ slider? Thanks.

    • @MikeSheehan727
      @MikeSheehan727 Год назад

      it's hard to see, but it's there. the automation shows up at a yellow line on the slider that moves back and forth. it's weird they don't just have the actual slider move.. but I guess that's to see where you have your "baseline" for the voice set

  • @bungalowbill3409
    @bungalowbill3409 Год назад

    Yeah, but can you drive the sliders during the performance and have that translate down to the graph?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +1

      That would be nice but you would get no real time feedback as the audio files need to be rendered. Before this new feature, I was just outputting the soft/passionate files into my DAW and using automation to cut between them - crossfading not recommended, but certainly chopping between soft/passionate was better than sitting on one vocal mode throughout.

    • @bungalowbill3409
      @bungalowbill3409 Год назад

      @@mixphantom0101 Yeah, I've noticed the trick of exporting the articulations out as stereo files and then blending them back into the source during the mix... Though it would be nice if you could get some realtime feedback from at least one articulation at a time so you could even do multiple passes and fader each articulation to taste through each pass... Be nice if the sliders could translate to the graph, but what would even be more a game changer at that point would be the ability to assign each slider to a physical fader on a midi controller and do the passes that way...
