    Here’s what I’d like in an update from Dreamtonics:
    1. Add “Close” to the File menu so you can close a project without quitting the app.
    2. Make the Metronome click in Play or Record to help with timing.
    3. Show the transport controls at all times.
    4. Make an updated, comprehensive pdf manual that describes all icons and defines menu items along with tips on making better phonemes.
    And thanks Phantom!

      ...defines all the icons... Yeah. Still don't know what some do because I am afraid of screwing up the work I have done.

    Nice one. I really hope they add more increments in the bars as in a DAW, because with those practically invisible gridlines it is all guesswork. 1.1, 1.2 etc- and make available the user contrast options, Dreamtonics! I would also like to be able to lengthen notes without them overlapping the neighbouring note. Maybe I am missing something. Until watching this video I didn’t realise there was a dropdown option for the release version. Very useful.

      You can click on the right side of a note and it will extend to the next event without overlapping.

    Although it's still not optimal, I'm glad it's a little easier to transfer a melody from the DAW directly into synth V without importanting/exporting midi files, since these things with Synth v are all kind of a hassle. I'm usually experimenting a lot when making songs (i do not make covers, which has the advantage of not needing specific things like these little " Ah" sounds like the Britney example you showcase here). So the downside is that I often make multiple versions of a song or parts of a song like a chorus or verse to see which one I like best and the hassle of getting the melody from my piano track to synth V kind of ruins my workflow when I needed to make a midi and import that midi each time I made an adjustment).
    However, when I copy a part of song or whole song it's all still a bit of a hassle, since I can not just hold ALT, drag and drop the whole section in order to experiment with new alterations of the song, since synth V is not copied alongside the other vst and midi instruments. Rather I have to first turn the melody notes into a group and then copy that group and then look up and remember at which bar the rest of my music is and then move the synth V to exactly at the right spot put that new vocals. The rest of instruments cost me 1 second to copy over and synth V part takes multiple minutes.
    Indeed, also do not like to think about such technical stuff when I'm in my artistic mood. I just want things to work without me having to think or feeling like I have problem solve anything in my DAW or with my instruments. This is also why I do not like switching DAWS, since I do not want to think about that stuff. The more mental energy I have to use to think about such technical things, the less energy I have left for the actual creative side.
    Like I said before, synth V can create amazing results, but the way some things function within the DAW workflow are not always optimal.

      Sounds to me like you might be better off using the VST version in a DAW. Advantage - add a demo track for each version in the working copy and just bounce between them. I am using the demo version at the moment, so I work in 45-second-or-less segments and just couple them together as needed. Works just fine.

      @@thesoundsmith I am not really sure if I understand you. I am using the vst version of synth v in a daw. However, I create melodies on my piano, which if recorded results in a melody in my daw on lets say a kontakt piano channel.
      However, you can not simply move that midi event from my kontakt piano channel into the synth V channel like you can do with other non audio channels. Well, you still can not really do that, even though that would be best. However, it's a little easier now.
      It's still not objectively a big problem. it's non optimal inconvenience in my workflow, that thanks to modern technology is super easy. Most things are so easy compared to the past that if something is not as easy, it's a hassle.
      I mean, in the past there was were even midi or daws!

    Thanks for being always one step before us. I don't like staying with b versions, I was looking forward to the stable 1.10. 3 days ago I had seen the update but I couldn't find the voicebank update, now I watched your video and immediately went to the dreamtonics website and it's there as well, moreover the in-app update works fine (first the app, then the voicebank). The online enhancement seems to have been initialized with a sine wave, I'm sure it will progress fast from that. Thanks for the voicing tip, which I had never used. Generally speaking, we learn so much from a real singer comparison! The midi drag is very welcome news, I've always used SynthV standalone (trained by previous Vocaloid experience), saving the audio and putting it into my DAW to hear it with all the effects. This is a first step to make it work in the DAW as all other sampled instruments and synthesizers work: I agree it could be better, but I will use it and then put suggestions to improve it, I second Dreamtonic's direction, making SynthV an usable VSTi. Great video again, bravo!

    While I don't yet OWN the app I have been using the freebie (and was hoping for a Black Friday super-discount, but it does not appear to be happpening) I MUST agree that mathing the track color is an OBVIOUS fix that SHOULD take no more than a few lines of code. The color setup is already in place. As a composer that can't sing ONE note in tune, i NEED this program. And the ability to shift a lyric forward/back IS a godsend if you create your midi melody track with artifacts, slurs or grace notes.

    Thank you for this presentation, your videos are always useful. I noticed that the first note of your sentences starts with a dot. I've never used that, so what's the point?

    • @PowerRedBullTypology
      @PowerRedBullTypology 10 месяцев назад

      maybe the dot somehow disconnects it from previous sentences?

      Basically, if you create notes with naked letters like S / T / A / R - the voice will read the letters like this ESS TEE A R. If you create notes with a period before the letter then SynthV will know to combine them into a word: .s / .t / .a / .r will be "star" and give you precise control of the length of each part of the word.

    Thanks for the video on the latest update!
    I have watched quite a few of your videos on Synth V in order to assess whether I should buy it or not.
    If I were to get two English voice datasets with the initial buy, one male and one female, to be used in original songs (i.e. pop. rock. jazz, etc.), which ones would you recommend?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  10 месяцев назад +1

      Solaria... of course! I've got high hopes for Saros - also from Eclipsed Sounds. I think Dreamtonics own voice banks aren't quite up to same standard.

    Wow you made her sound great. Did you have to use 3rd party scripts or another software to make her get this close to Britney, or is it a sound I coult expect "out of the box" if I buy Synth V and Solaria?
    Would be fun to hear your full version, if you have posted it somehere.

      Thanks! This is basically Solaria with some animation of shaping parameters (tension, breath etc.) and a dose of compression and EQ. I only made this short clip for the demo.

    If you install this new version, will songs made with the previous version still sound the same or different?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  10 месяцев назад

      Good question! If you change the voice database like I did from 109 to 110 then yes. If you update SynthV to v1.10 and open a project made with v1.09 with the voice databases set to 109 they will be the same. There is also a new save option to save your project as v1.09 so it will maintain your previous results.

      @@mixphantom0101 A few weeks ago when I did a new windows installation on a new SSD, I mistakenly installed 1.8 instead of 1.9 and the songs I previously made with 1.9 sounded quite bad. It sounded a lot more synthetic.
      However, a new song I had made at first sounded just fine (regular high quality).
      So I was kind of confused what was happening there exactly.

    I'm unsubscribing from your channel because RUclips just played me a seven minute deepfake of "Elon Musk" trying to sell me a get rich quick plan, complete with the Canadian Broadcasting Commission (CBC) logo in the corner. But thank you for trying.

At first I though it was some kind of bizarre mistake, but it was your channel -- which is how I was able to unsubscribe. The ad was still playing when I un-subbed. BTW, I don't blame you, but you might want to check with RUclips about this.@@mixphantom0101

      @guy_incognito if not blaming the channel, why did you make a public unsubscribe declaration instead of raising concern by emailing the channel owner?
      I'm unsubscribing from drama queens who nag one of the VERY FEW English speaking reviewers of these vocal technologies?
