    I just purchased this and you have helped me more than the manual ever could. I thought the dictionary was for checking words and could not figure it out. You showed me exactly how to do that.
    Also, I knew about stretching syllables over notes, but just typing the whole line on the first note and then stretching it with the special commands? Genius.

    Thanks so much for this video. I have been using ”AHND”for the word “AND” and I’ve been pulling out my hair trying to get “DOOR” to sound right. You have helped me cut down my input time tremendously. Thanks

    english voicebanks in synthV utilize the arpabet pronunciation guide so i've even just pulled up its wikipedia page so i have a quick reference for alternate vowels as needed! it might even be helpful to register homonyms into a custom dictionary so that instead of editing "l ih v" every time, you could set it to "live(2)" or even "live*" and it would play the phonemes you set when you need it

      Good tip re ARPABET. Synth V apparently used to have a phoneme reference chart... why they removed it is a mystery!

    Excellent tips! I've only been using this software for a short while, and I've been looking at phonemes reference webpages to figure out better pronunciations. Using the dictionary panel is far easier. Thanks!

    8:22 - The waveforms are different because of HDVM, a function that tries to replicate the inconsistencies in human voice. The AI retakes function works on the same principle.

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +1

      Yes I'm starting to find ways to use the HDVM for "subtle" tweaks. It's definitely not a randomizer... so you do get minor differences between a complete word and the same word "cut up" into phonemes.

    This is great stuff. Thank you! The tutorials from Dreamtonics on phonemes seem to be out of date, and you actually explain what works in the current version 1.8.0. I subscribed and will be looking at all your Synthesizer V videos. If you haven't already done something on vibrato, please do. The singer "Natalie" has constant excessive vibrato I would like to remove. I've tried everything. The only success was to use the minus sign to extend syllables. But that seems to be hit-or-miss.

    Thanks for this. FWIW, I’m interested in what you can teach about Synth V. Cheers!

    If I write the phrase in the first note and then use the + shortcut on the remaining notes, what is the best way to stop the program deciding certain words (i.e. 'our') should span two notes and get it on one. I'm guessing adding a dictionary reference would be the way to go.

    Thanks very much for these tutorials, great information which helped change some phonemes that were out of wack in the file I was working on. Just out of curiosity, is there a way to add legato between syllables in a multi syllable word?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад

      All notes that "touch" are legato. If you see a little "SIL" flag it's letting you know there is a very small gap - click on the SIL and it will stretch the first note to touch the second.

      @@mixphantom0101 Hi there, thanks very much. Now that I have the pro version and have practiced the pencil tool, I've been able to get it to sound better. Great tutorials, if it wasn't for you, I'd know a lot less about Synth V 😀

    What is the phenome for the vowel ‘o’ as in ‘stop’. For an English accent that is. I’m aware that for American accent it would be ‘aa’. I can’t see such an option in the list.

    • @mixphantom0101

      tricky... but the new audio to midi feature with the "phonetics" option ticked gets Synth V to automatically generate phonemes from what it's hearing (analyzing). As the engine supports english, chinese, japanese and spanish (soon) it will probably quite good at finding the right phoneme.

      @@mixphantom0101Must say that the translation from audio into synth v is pretty accurate. Still needs the odd tweak. ‘au’ seems to do the trick. It’s fascinating seeing how it actually pits words together in ways I’d never think of. It just keeps getting better.

    Hey thanks for the . tip....for some reason, Solaria can't pronounce cocktail no matter how I try to change the phonemes. I'll try the . with my fingers double crosse! Thanks for all your tutorials. They are great.

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  5 месяцев назад +1

      As for "cocktail" there is no issue as a standalone word, so more than likely it's to do with the word your transitioning from or to.

    • @bethenyruefsmusic

      @@mixphantom0101 Thanks for that info. It turned out to be an issue with Solaria...the free lite vocals didn't have the issue...so I reinstalled and now it's working a lot better.

    Are the vocals all in 44.1 KHz format?....Mono I suppose too?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  Год назад +2

      You can export a "mix" of vocals which maintain panning/level. 44.1 and 48 kHz supported... as well as 16 and 24 bit.
