Watched the whole video using S23 Ultra QHD screen mode and the youtube video on highest setting. I dont own any of the cams yet but GoPro seems to have better quality on most daylight shots the only time AP5 gets it for me is when its lowlight.
When you tried the Voice Isolation on GoPro you missed the fact that Osmo Action 5 Pro has two levels of audio noise reduction. And the top noise reduction really removes the background noise of the street quite drastically. Also, you obviously didn't manipulate the sharpness setting on Osmo, so it looks a little less cinematographic, simply because it's sharpenned. The best settings for Osmo would be to disable both sharpness and noise reduction, and shoot in D-Log M color mode, then add color and noise reduction in the editing process. This will create the most beautiful picture, especially when denoised with Neat Video plugin. Although Davinci Resolve Studio noise reduction is pretty good too, but Neat Video is best.
It would be interesting to know which camera has the more natural colour - the GoPro seems way too warm. Also did you film looking at the GoPro or DJI screen?
It feels goPro feels like a canon camera (always a yellowish tone), and DJI feels like Sony camera for white balance (kinda bluish). the way to correct this one on is on the white balance setting normally each brand has their own color preference they sometime call it "color science".
@@genesisdelmundo "goPro feels like a canon camera (always a yellowish tone)" -- Canon has a soft natural color, but not yellowish. I still have my doubts about the yellow in the above video. I have a suspicion it was not auto white balance.
I got the 5 pro, the camera is too legit to quit ! I like how fast it charges and the fact you can see it charge and the light stays on its 🔥. It's like the warp charger for the oneplus , but it stays on so you can see it charging all the way.
The white balance on the Osmo Pocket seem to be way to cool throughout the whole video. Go Pro image sometimes somehow looks slightly better but the dynamic range is terrible.

Very cool and great research. I did see an underwater comparison of the 2 and thought dji was superior. Never owned anything dji but had 3 diff go pros. Think I'm gonna give dji a go 🫡
I have this camera and I’ve use it extensively. Jitter is controlled with proper settings. Jitter has little to do with bitrate (bitrate helps with detail and other things) or frame rate. Jitter has to do with slow shutter speed. Action cameras (all of them) use aggressive EIS (electronic image stabilization) which fights with the shutter speed to create stability. This jitter and ghosting happens in bright light also (but it’s harder to see.) Cameras like the AcePro series and the Action 5 use Ai to offset this. But you are FAR better off dialing in manual settings. Here is what I am finding best: 4K 30 (30 lets in more light than 60), EIS at Rocksteady (not +), Shutter 1/100-1/8000 (this is very important, you can also use quadruple your frame rate to 30FPS at 1/120, 60 at 1/240, etc. (FORGET the 180 degree rule with this camera, and with all action cameras), Texture at -2 (-1 is ok too), Noise Reduction at -1 or -2. In super night mode, you can’t adjust ISO but you can adjust these settings and should if you want better footage (especially reduce texture). In normal, all these settings apply but make sure ISO is 100-25600 at night, 100-3200 in sunlight and 100-12800 at dusk. Shutter at four times frame rate (1/120) or 1/100-1/8000. I would make FOV standard but you could use wide. Color is dealers choice, normal 10 bit or DLOG 10 bit (which you’ll have to grade in post or in the app). Set EV to -0.3, -0.7 or -1. I like -0-3 - 0.7 in most settings. In very bright light with the quadruple shutter rule, use a Neutral Density filter. Out of the box the action 5 camera is not even close to as good as it is with these settings dialed in. In fact, pre-firmware it was pretty disappointing. Now it’s MUCH better but jitter will still happen. It happens on my pocket 3 far less, because it’s a gimbal. So hold steady as well and have fun. The Action 5 is phenomenal with the right settings.

People saying DJI “destroyed GoPro here”. Y’all guys looked at the details and exposure? Like, DJI beat GoPro at low light and battery (as always), but y’all ever look at the shadows or something?
Insta360 X4, you will not regred it! It's a really good camera which is really fun to use, but for fpv or any other action in daylight i would go with the gopro 13. Insta360 X4 can be used as a action camera but i wouldn''t because the lenses are to mutch exposed for real action, you always have to look if the camera is alright and you will constantly clean the lenses, even with the lens protections. The X4 is more for vlogging and slight action.

The big benefit of the GoPro comes in post, because i can shoot in 8:7 wide (FullFrame) and still get Gyrodata, no matter if the EIS is on or not, but on the Action 5 Pro you can't get the Full Sensor readout with gyrodata you have to crop in with the digital lens, extrawide in 4:3 (FullFrame on the action 5 pro) doesn't support gyrodata output, only the "wide" setting does deliver gyrodata on the action 5 pro but wide on the action 5 pro even in 4:3 is not the full sensor readout it's a digital crop upscaled to 4K. This is a big minus, because Gyroflow and Reelsteady (Hypersmooth Pro) works best with a wide FOV and high resolution, these programs are using the gyrodata to crop in for stabilisation, but if the footage is already cropped in and upscaled, the results will looks worse. When it comes to dynamic range its hard to decide, sometimes the action 5 pro looks better and sometimes to gopro but the hlg looks better and has more dynamic range on the gopro, the sharpness on the gopro looks more natural and i can still turn off the noise reduction completely with gopro labs (NR01=1) and i can bump up the bitrate even more with gopro labs, up to 200mb/s (BITR=200). The super low light mode on the action 5 pro does make a difference but the image looks to mutch artificial for any use case, and there is also for me no need for a low light mode in a action camera. As an FPV Pilot i'm happy with my Hero 13, and i would say for cinematic fpv the gopro is still the king!
