What does the sport mode do? Could it help jittering in artificial light or at night ? Also what is the higher bitrate going to do? Do you know when firmware will come? Thank you for the video. New subscriber from USA (Los Angeles, California).
I still haven't figured out what Sport mode actually is ment to do, but it seems like it is ment to be the extra "touch" for stabilization. I heard firmware will come very soon since Chinese holiday is over now. Higher bitrate will show more details in often dark areas, but I still haven't seen the issue (but many have). Why didn’t you use the standard RockSteady for the Action 5? For some reason, its RockSteady seems noticeably worse compared to the Action 4. Are RockSteady Daily and Sport modes different from the regular RockSteady? Would Action 5 produce the same results as Action 4 if using the normal RockSteady mode? Thanks for this helpful video.
Rocksteady+ always perform best so I wanted to see if it also did worse than Action 4. I still haven't found any difference between Daily and Sport modes, but Daily is ment for vlogging so maybe it have something to do with how often it will update stabilization or not? After this video there have been 2 firmware updates so things can have changed after I made this one.
@@Amer-m8y well, yes. It blocks out light so you have to slow the shutter. That gives motion blur if you are using a slow frame rate, but the stabilisation stops working correctly because of the low shutter. For stabilisation to work correctly, you need it around or above 1/160th second.
Great test, Many thanks for sharing😊
Thank you

I also has both, for me the OA5 is the winner. And I do think Dji will improve it with updates👍. Good test, new subscriber from Norway.
Thank you and I agree the OA5 is really great so I can't wait for new updates from DJI since they always know how to please their customers.

To improve image quality, avoid recording while facing the sun, or use an ND filter.
How does an ND filter improve image quality? I thought that they just slow the shutter down.
@@iancraigcan also block out some of the light in your image

Any filters will never improve image quality, but if a filter can block the sunrays etc. then it will improve the video in general.
