Born and raised in Youngstown area, I'm a metal head since Middle School when I carried around a cassette player rocking to Priest, KISS, AC/DC, Nugent, etc. I'm 59 years old and will make everyone around me ears bleed with my metal cranked. Ripper has been on my radar for decades. Heck, I have that Iron Maiden tribute album that Ripper Owen's has a track on, anyone remember that obscure album?
Tim Ripper Owens made two studio and one live album with Judas priest. And he'ss been in many other great bands like Iced Earth Children of the Damned and one yngwie malmsteen record.
My sluggish truck wouldn't start the other day. I happened to be playing this song while trying to get it started. All of a sudden the engine roared to life with an evil rumble, a sound I've never heard before. Fire started shooting out the tailpipes as the engine roared, and the instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree. The old paint turned instantly black and the wheels turned to blindingly-shiny chrome. The seatbelts automatically locked me in -- without my even touching them, and we (the truck and I) began pulling out of the driveway. Every car and every house within 1000 feet caught fire and I heard windows smashing everywhere, along with car alarms blaring, and children screaming. We slowly made our way out of the neighborhood making sure EVERYONE listened to this song being pumped through heavily-amplified sound system -- that I didn't even know I had !! AMAZING !!! Yes, folks, this was the day my truck ceased being a measly factory Ford and became a .............. ....... HELLFIRE THUNDERBOLT !!!!!

Speaking of Judas Priest... Allan Atkins (The founding member, original lead singer 1969-73, wrote such JP classics as "Victim of Changes", "Never Satisfied", "Winter", "Caviar & Meths", "Dreamer/Deceiver", etc... ) has been making great solo albums, and band albums for decades... check out his work with guitarist Paul May, in the Atkins-May Project (AMP) - they have released 4 albums and the 5th is coming soon... @t
Painkiller 2.0 was Jugulator. KKs Priest picks up where Jugulator left off and continues the Judas Priest style first established on Painkiller. HIGHLY recommend reacting to Cathedral Spires!
Hi, i am a huge Judas Priest fan!! Seen em concert 3 times & was completely blown away at every show. Though i hate that Ken (KK) left Priest i straight up love this song!! But....the Priest is slowly falling apart anyway. I hate to say that.....but truth is truth. Glen....the other guitarist left due to parkinsons disease. Dave Holland the drummer that was with them when i seen em died. Rob & Ian are the only original members left. But the Priest has been around for 52 years now & they have definitely left their mark. Long Live The Priest!!
Always going to be a KK fan, Ripper Owens has done some remarkable achievements. Then to slap the smile off of the remaining Judas Priest members as they tell KK that he's not welcome back then they get the news that Tipton has medical issues and can't continue. So now JP is two original members, one who forsaked his band mates and went on a "solo binge" (Rob Halford) and expected everyone to welcome him back like nothing ever happened? Dammit guys, get your shit together. I hate seeing JP split up but let's make the best of it, KK's Priest has got that original old school metal vibe and energy that makes your ears bleed, hell Phucking yeah! Bleed, just keep bleeding!

The latest 2 JP albums were the best since Painkiller. This new song is sbsolutely promising, though it's quite generic, I'm eager to listen to the whole album, what kind of identity it will have :)

The only reason why KK is not talked about that much is because he was fortunate and unfortunate to have had that beast on the guitar next to him for most of his career.
I love this song and preordered the new KK's Priest album. Ken was always my favourite guitarist in Judas Priest, since I love his dive bombs and pinch harmonics. His tone has always been perfect for metal. I'm looking forward to the new album and the upcoming tour.
