I think most of us swedes are pretty proud of Erik😊 this song has never been a favourite of mine (original) but Erik does a real good job with it. No surprise there, he sure can sing. 🇸🇪
Erik sings with his soul, his voice is beyond good. Happy to be a swede and in a couple of weeks I Will see Tommy Johansson singing christmas songs with a choir in Boden’s church it’s in his hometown north of Sweden .
Erik has a very special voice, with overtones like you wouldn't believe. He definitely did this legendary song justice. It's funny you mentioned Disturbed Sound of Silence, because i had the very same thought. With the whole set up, and the way he sings it from start to finish, he tells the story in a way, that i finally really understand this song, just like i did with the first time i heard Sound of Silence with Disturbed, and Amazing Grace with Dan. Actually Dan has made me listen to and understand songs I've never liked in my entire life, and it was his collaborations with Erik that introduced me to Erik's incredible voice. If you havent yet heard their duet in 'We all die young' you absolutely MUST.
Erik and Jona have created a masterpiece with this cover, which I like better than the original. (just my opinion) The soulful and also powerful vocals by Erik and the piano by Jona match so perfectly, simply wonderful !!!! Thank you for introducing it.

The good thing is that Eriks father is a great person. I talked to him online many times about local issues where he lives in Knivsta, Sweden.
