unfortunately current JP lost a Magic of the performance and agresive of KK. and now without a, Glen is boring sounds like Bon Jovi band. we very lucky to get real JP vibe back with KK Priest. and Tim voice just amazing
KK’s Priest is the best, loved steel mill show and can’t wait for October. Ripper’s vocals are on top form and I haven’t heard him sing like that live since 2001 Live in London show 🤘🏼 I even think he’s singing better, what a guy
Great interview! I met Tim on the Demolition tour and thanked him for the albums he did and keeping Priest alive. I was like him growing up obsessed with the band all over my bedroom walls. If it wasn't for him we would not have any Priest music for 14 years thanks to a certain lead singer. Kk's Priest is now my favorite band and Tim is my favorite singer. Thank you again Tim all these years later. Can't wait for the new album.
Haven listened to their latest live performances on YT, I would say KK's Priest is the next best thing to 80's JP. In key, fast tempo, screaming dual leads, soaring vocals and energetic performance. They really do the songs justice. Love it!
so happy KK and Ripper are giving the world this awesome metal - THEY SOUND GREAT, PLEASE COME BACK TO WESTERN NEW YORK SOON!!! RIPPER'S VOICE IS ON FIRE!!!! KK AND THE BAND SOUND GREAT!!!
I saw Priest here in Australia with Ripper fronting them back when Rob was off doing his Fight thing and I have to say that Ripper sung the Priest stuff at that time better than Rob was prior to him leaving! It was an amazing show and he really allowed priest to keep going at that stage so it's a real travesty how he's treated by the Priest camp now. Tim is a metalhead through and through, huge respect and look forward to everything he does. \m/
Love the first album alot. Looking forward to listening to the new album big time. Pre-ordered the Cd a week ago. So far my favorite album with Tim Owens singing is Iced Earth's The Glorious Burden. It is a MASTERPIECE in my opinion. Excellent interview as usual.
Cover band? Not even close. KK's Priest is among my favorite bands and yes, it's above Judas Priest. I feel like KK's Priest gave me the third JP album that I was really hoping for and it's better than I could have imagined.
Thanks for a great interview. Tim, we need a show in Akron or Cleveland (your hometown and mine too). I saw you at the Agora back in 1988 (on Ken's side of the stage). Your vocals are so much better now. I watched videos of a couple of those festival shows and love them. The first KK's Priest album is good, but what I've heard from the second one so far is much better (both the actual songs and the production). Good luck with everything. 🤘🏼
Was at the Steelmill for the first show Amazing gig! + Great production. Can't wait to see them again in Manchester and Nottingham. Rippers vocals WOW!!
To me KK's Priest is getting better and better. (would pay for KK's Priest show, not JP anymore). That said (being nit-picky) if they spend a bit more time on more thoughtful lyrics and more melodic / memorable hooks, vocal lines and chorus they would be even better. Then it would really be JP 2.0. (I'm guessing Glen was the one in JP that polished the JP songs with some pop-sensibilities, while KK was the raw emotion metal dude). That said nothing to complain KK's Priest sounds full on metal and I'm loving it. And of course havent heard the full album yet.
I'm looking forward to seeing them, the set for the festivals looks short but decent. I don't think hardcore priest fans are too interested in hearing Breaking The Law or Green Manalishi considering how vast the back catalogue is, I just hope we don't lose Victim of Changes or Beyond the Realms of Death in place of new songs 🤞
Fuck yeah, the catalogue is full of deep tracks. Personally I'd like to see Ripper do Saints In Hell , Savage, Eat Me Alive and Evil Fantasies to name a few. I totally think he could bring them alive!
You're not going to impress millennial Iron Maiden fans even though they are easily pleased with Iron Maiden. 😆 Plus Halford fans are easily impressed with backing tracks. So of course they are shocked and in denial.
This guy is just a joke. Despite his supposed good voice, he is a bad mimic of halford. The worst thing is that KK wasn't clear with himself and fans after leaving his band judas priest by saying he had retired. The truth is he had an argue with the band and that lead to his runaway. Whatever KK with Ripper do they will never be like judas priest. It would be really nice for such a legend like KK to say the truth. His heart is and will be with Judas Priest forever.
THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE TIM, YOU PLAYED SHOWS WITH MY NOW DRUMMER TONY SMITH HE WAS IN THE KISS TRIBUTE BAND I SURE WOULD LOVE YOU ON OUR RECORD HAHA....WE CAN PAY!!@@Ripperowensofficial
@@Ripperowensofficial is a silly name, but Beatles was a silly name at one point, and metalheads complaining about silly names when they get behind Anal Cunt, Vomitory and cattle decapitation is quite ironic
Ripper sounds better than ever! The man is a legend!
I don't know why some people complain. Judas and KK' Priest are great. Just enjoy the good music they give us.

Tim is a phenomenal singer. So far my favorite album that Tim has sang on is Iced Earth's The Glorious Burden. In my opinion it is a MASTERPIECE.
Great interview! ✌️

Waiting for the USA tour ….. excellent interview 🤘
Tim seems like a cool dude. Love his voice.
KK's Priest are the NEW Metal Gods! 🤘
Cathedral spiked will be just a dream! Best song of Tim era probably

I have to agree The Glorious Burden is a great metal record mostly because of Ripper. It's also the only Iced Earth album I care for.

Hahaha Ripper calls out the Scot’s man 😂😂, love ya K-Man🤘🏻
Great interview
Great singer Tim Owens keep on with the great performance and Fxxxk to sad comments just ignored it.
Will Ripper do another A Night of Metal tour with the Drover brothers? The Montreal concerts were 10 on 10
Loving what you guys are doing. Hoping to get out to see you guys live next time you all come this way.
Great hope they make the next album.follow the pain killer way.
The 50 Heavy Metal Years box set includes the 2 Ripper studio albums. Does not sound like Priest is ignoring the Ripper years.
Can I get the albums from a record store ? Can I listen to them in streaming services? No? The Priest is ignoring them.
@@homerc9101 That is a shame.
You have to pay a lot of money for the box set to get them. They should be rereleased on CD and vinyl like the rest of the catalog.
@@johnkatsoudas4767 I agree

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR KKS PRIEST DO CATHEDRAL SPIRES LIVE.... THATS A FUCKIN EPIC FROM THE JUGULATOR ALBUM...

KK SHOULD HAVE NEVER DID THE KK'S PRIEST THING, KK'S STEEL MILL WAS A FAR BETTER CHOICE.

Hello!! I’m here dead day at work.
I do that. You can do it. Make it your last song.
I feel the economy is not good still. It will get better. It is.
