  • This interview episode's guest Tim "Ripper" Owens of KK's Priest talks about his and K.K. Downing's new album The Sinner Rides Again and the Judas Priest references in the new songs. Ripper also speaks about his time in Judas Priest, weighs in on the longevity of Jugulator and Demolition and remembers his audition for Judas Priest back in 1996. We also address the old rumours of Tim "Ripper" Owens replacing Phil Anselmo in Pantera with Ripper giving his opinion on the current Pantera tribute shows.
In addition Tim and I talk about KK's Priest upcoming tour with Paul Di'Anno and Burning Witches and discuss a possibility of Tim and Paul performing together some Iron Maiden and Judas Priest classics.
Tim "Ripper" Owens also weighs in on the future of classic Heavy Metal and live tours, opens up about the future of his solo career, addresses him deliberately trying to "not sound like Rob Halford", talks about Cathedral Spires, the next steps for him and KK's Priest and much more!
I am sure, you will absolutely enjoy it!

“One more shot at glory” track is a masterpiece and the video is excellent. I like the way they reference the old songs. KK’s Priest keeping classic traditional metal alive.

If you ask me KKs Priest sounds more like Judas Priest than Judas Priest does
KKs writing is so evident its ridiculous!

AMEN! They need to focus on Kk's Priest and Ripper era priest, live. Maybe just a couple of Halford era Priest songs for the encore. 🤘🏽

Definitely much better than the last few JP albums. A buddy said to me listening to the last album, "everything seems like it was recorded to the same tempo click track", and it is. Its extremely cookie cutter. While KKs may have some of that formula too, this is just way better.

Thanks for an awesome interview! This album is so much better than the first, which I did like. Tim's vocals are so much more musical on this album, since he uses his entire range. His personal style comes to the forefront. I can't wait for these guys to do a USA tour. This is probably going to be my favourite record this year. 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I agree with you on Return To Death Row being among his best work. It's short but every single track is energetic and awesome.
I hope him and Richard Christy get back together for another Charred Walls of the Damned album. Personally, Cold Winds on Timeless Days is probably my favorite album Ripper Owens is on overall.

I love what Tim has done with Iced Earth and especially KK’s Priest! So awesome. I like his short stint with Yngwie. However to say that the two albums he did with Judas Priest have “longevity” I find ridiculous. His legacy will be everything post Judas Priest.

@@les-ti6lo Stu is great especially Live In Ancient Kourion. I’m just saying I like Tim in Iced Earth too and what he did there I like better than his time in JP. I never said I liked Tim over Stu. I just think Tim really came into his own with Iced Earth not Priest

The first side of "The Sinner Rides Again" would make it album of the year but the second side is genius level. Such a shame that it has a huge flirtatiion goiing on with the Devil. We live in the most evil times in history. People should be careful that they don't lose their souls.

I'm glad to see you've lost a lot of weight and hear your vocal performance improved a great deal but please stop doing that irritating waoooooooo scream on almost every song on The Sinner Rides Again. 11:43 There's absolutely no need to deny the obvious.
