I'm Bias because Ive been a Huge Judas Priest and KK Downing fan since seeing them open up for 1977 for Led Zepplin. This to me if just Pure Great Heavy Metal. KK is 69, Im so thankful to even have any type Priest music in 2021.
I first watched priest at my first Gig at Newcastle Mayfair supported by Iron maiden with Di anno in 81 I think.. but have a old Vhs from Reading Rock festival in my Collection .we go a long way back my Friend lol
Great guy KK! Many years ago a friend and I were waiting to meet Priest at a hotel in NYC. Well, we stupidly kept the radio running and it apparently drained the radio. My friend was trying to start the car and it wouldn't turn over. Here comes KK, "Something wrong with ya cah?" he asks in his British accent. He told us to lift the hood and he tried to fix it. I think things eventually worked out with a little rest but it was soooo long ago. Just the notioj of a rock God offering to help floored me!
If the rest of the album is this good, Judas Priest better pull out all the stops on their next album, cause if they don't K.K."s gonna kick their asses!
Well, den like that... Tim did sing that song better live,... Rob rarely made a good performance with painkiller. But well, I mainly find it unfair how they let the 2 albums of Tim "disappear"... I have the feeling these albums will be collectors value some day 😉
Oh, Bobby! 🤘 Den actually mentioned this venture to me a couple of days ago, so the timing is perfect. Apparently the drummer is K.K.'s former Priest bandmate, Les Binks. I was initially apprehensive of the notion - I love Priest and I love Mr. Kenneth Downing (how many times have I commented about my mad crush on him from Hell Bent for Leather through Turbo???) BUT, out of principle just something about this seemed wrong. Maybe I was just too hung up on the name....I would have gone with something totally independent, but you know it's a whole marketing and recruitment thing. (Like "Customers also bought...." on Amazon!!) I was pleasantly surprised by this and enjoyed it so there went my preconceived notions out the window.....apparently they were sucked out by that Hellfire TORNADO that followed the thunderbolt.....
People are fed up with all the bitching that's going on with the Gay Priest. We want the Straight Priest back and KK and Ripper are providing that. Thank goodness. Let's go!!
Speaking of Judas Priest... Allan Atkins (The founding member, original lead singer 1969-73, wrote such JP classics as "Victim of Changes", "Never Satisfied", "Winter", "Caviar & Meths", "Dreamer/Deceiver", etc... ) has been making great solo albums, and band albums for decades... check out his work with guitarist Paul May, in the Atkins-May Project (AMP) - they have released 4 albums and the 5th is coming soon... check them out on FB
First time checking out your channel 🤘😎 I'm a huge judas priest fan and I couldn't be mad at this new kk priest if I wanted to ! Fucking badass! BTW you are the cutest " tornado" 😂 love it! Yeah this songs pretty damn good definitely be getting the album. 🤘😎🤘
I mean I get that it's obviously a jab at Judas Priest lol but Judas Priest I mean they probably aren't even mad because Rob just seems like the sweetest humble guy 😎🤘😎 will definitely say hi my son and I love these videos and your opinion it helps me look at things in a different light I appreciate that !!
Planning to meet Mr Downing for a chat/ interview about the new single/ album on Wednesday 19th May - been a fan since Killing Machine (yes, I'm that old) and live 7 miles from KK Steel Mill. What a song!!!!! Yes, it's Tim Owens on vox. Other guitarist A. J. Mills is in HOSTILE, a band Ken has produced two albums for. I reviewed the "An evening with KK Downing" for a couple of local newspapers www.expressandstar.com/entertainment/2019/11/07/an-evening-with-kk-downing-and-david-ellefson-kks-steel-mill-wolverhampton-review/
Brand new album coming out. Pre-Order is up if you go to KK's RUclips page you can find it there. This band is the house band for KK's Ironworks in England And this ROCKS!! Yes it's Ripper. Ripper was in Priest during the time Rob was doing solo work. I saw Priest way way back in '86 One of the greatest concerts I've been to.
We don't need any lukewarm fans for K.K. 'cause he is in the process of showing that he is a genius. You had better get with it Andrew 'cause Hellfire Thunderbolt may well turn out to be one of the weakest songs on the new album and let's face it, it isn't a weak song. Anything but.
Lets be honest. KK left Priest to build a fkin golf course , which failed. Then started whining because the band wouldn't let him re-join. Since then he has done on thing but slag the Priest guys off. Now he realises he's lost his fortune in a failed golf business. So he starts a new band. Seriously guy... How committed to making good music is Ken. Does he want to make money or does he want to make metal..... Take all the time you want...
no its not a tornado its the commode flushing in the background at the studio. I like kk. I think ripper needs to hit some lower notes, to much like king diamond. I wish they went to joe barresi and have him mix it are a andy wallace. But i would pay money to see them play live.
It's generic over produced and b sided. KK made a huge deal about having 3 ex Judas Priest members in his band and I choose to believe that all along this wrist injury is horse $hit KK knew damn well Les Binks couldn't play this style of drums when he was writing material for his album and Les knew it too, they only used Les as click bait while they planned to have Les crawl out to the drum set to play Beyond The Realms,Green Manilishi, and Running Wild because he ain't got the CHOPS to play this style of drums that Sean Elg plays.
You know what, I think you're on to something there. I think the Les Binks idea was a stunt to get Priest fans to pay attention, and it worked. It's probably true that he was never going to be the drummer. But in show business, sometimes you have to do whatever you need to do to get noticed. I don't mind it so much. It's too bad that Binks is too old, because then KKs band would have just as many classic members of Priest as the current Priest. The song itself has grown on me. Hopefully there are better songs on the album. I want KK to succeed.
@@bobhalford I though having Les Binks play drums would of been better especially if KK Drama would of written 70s style Judas Priest Les would of sounded great and so would of KK.... instead he's got to keep up with the joneses aka Scott Travis
@@johndiamond4088 Oh come on John, we've got K.K. back, even if it isn't with Judas Priest. I just hope that we can get as many albums out of him that we possibly can because they will be Judas Priest albums.
Do you ever really listen to the lyrics most dont really listen to the lyrics its sad that most reaction videos just listen to the music but forget the Most importent the lyrics and the words they Are forming
K.K.'s lyrics are not as great as the music he writes because Rob Halford used to write all the words but he will get better and better the more songs he writes. I don't agree with you though, the music is more important than the lyrics but great lyrics make for a classic song.

He is the King of Heavy Metal.

That is one killer track and kick ass on his own without Judas priest

Showing the youngsters how it’s done!
Man you are a hoot, and a classic. You rock man. Your reaction is priceless 😁😁🤘🏾🤘🏾
You rock!
Love it, the guitars are insane 🤘🤘🤘❤❤..yep with a Judas Priest feel
It kicks ass ...nuff said !!
Bad ass! Sounds like it could have been on Painkiller.

I like it, KK still layin it down at almost 70. Kinda has a Udo era Accept vibe. Particularly that twin axe attack. Not a bad thing by any means.
KK is back with a vengeance.

Les Binks I hear did record some on the Album but He Hurt his wrist and is not currently playing. :(
Listening to this great song, KK Downing without a doubt, was the riffwriter for Judas priest.
The album is coming out Shane and it's not out yet but she could pre-order it now

K.K definitely has something going on really cool with this.
