I'm sorry I completed this book last week and the ending was kind of Shutter Island. And it had a Gone Girl hint to it as well. I didn't pick up anything new from it honestly.

I didn't like the woman in the window at all but I loved pretty girls, I definitely felt like I needed therapy afterwards as well. Can't wait to read more of her books

A Kind Worth Killing was a solid thriller: I dug it. I also read "Pretty Girls" and it was definitely the most graphic book I ever read: more so than Gillian Flynn's "Sharp Objects", which I also recommend. Another thriller you may enjoy is "Something in the Water." It's pretty new.

My favorite thriller, which is kind of a horror too I guess, is Battle Royale by Koushun Takami, it’s absolutely amazing, I was never bored during the 600 something pages, and there is a twist in it which made my heart drop, and man, so many emotions came to me during some moments. It’s basically a better Hunger Games in my opinion. It’s about kids being thrown on an island and forced to fight to the death until one survives cause the dropout rate and resistance in Greater East Asia (Japan basically) is at a peak. It is a translation so the remastered one is better, but the translation was not bad, there were very minimal areas where it was rough but it seemed more like a typo than a translation gone wrong so it never affected the sentence or what was happening.

If you haven't read it PLEASE read Donato Carrisi's The Whisperer.... Everyone I passed it to couldn't put it down and was consumed with amazing twists, and so smart. The author wrote true crime for newspapers in Italy and The Whisperer was his debut novel... I have since purchased and read every one of his books and never disappointed.

My general favorite genre for any story (musical, novel, movie, etc) is thriller. My favorite books are The Phantom Of The Opera (the book is the thriller, I know a lot of people only think of the musical which is technically a dramatic romance but bear with me on this one lol) and You. I highly recommend them.

Ugh, The Kind Worth Killing was such a let down for me. I had such high hopes, and I think something is wrong with me since I seem to be the only person who doesn’t like it. I feel like I must have just figured out the whole plot and ‘twists’ early on because NOTHING shocked me! So sad about it 😩

If you haven't read it PLEASE read Donato Carrisi's The Whisperer.... Everyone I passed it to couldn't put it down and was consumed with amazing twists, and so smart. The author wrote true crime for newspapers in Italy and The Whisperer was his debut novel... I have since purchased and read every one of his books and never disappointed.
I'm a thriller and mystery reader and now a new subscriber. I'm maybe not your typical subscriber because I'm really really old but I've Loved this genre of books my entire life. I also love the English and Irish Mysteries. I find myself with a ton of French book and speaking like them. I'm glad you talked about twists because a bad ending ruins the whole book for me. I'm looking at you Lisa Jewell. All I can say is more more more from you that is not Lisa Jewell Aloha

My general favorite genre for any story (musical, novel, movie, etc) is thriller. My favorite books are The Phantom Of The Opera (the book is the thriller, I know a lot of people only think of the musical which is technically a dramatic romance but bear with me on this one lol) and You. I highly recommend them.

If you want a really good thriller book, please read "The whisperer" by Donato Carrisi (or "Le chuchoteur" in French), it's amazing

Boy, you should read 'Voyagers of hell' as soon as possible. It keeps you hooked until the last page. I read it last week on kindle and its intriguing ending still haunts me. Amazing read.
Ugh, The Kind Worth Killing was such a let down for me. I had such high hopes, and I think something is wrong with me since I seem to be the only person who doesn’t like it. I feel like I must have just figured out the whole plot and ‘twists’ early on because NOTHING shocked me! So sad about it 😩
