I love thrillers.... what I don't like is these stupid YA writers that try to ruin everything. First they had their own genre; till that got puked out destroying the big 5 traditional houses with them coz they put all their eggs into 1 basket; pushing woke politics instead of... you know WRITING A GOOD ENTERTAINING STORY. So now you see YA trying to push YA with different themes to try to sell their YA as another genre; Sci fi is a very popular genre for them to fuck up... and now trillers too apparently -_-

My favorite thriller, which is kind of a horror too I guess, is Battle Royale by Koushun Takami, it’s absolutely amazing, I was never bored during the 600 something pages, and there is a twist in it which made my heart drop, and man, so many emotions came to me during some moments. It’s basically a better Hunger Games in my opinion. It’s about kids being thrown on an island and forced to fight to the death until one survives cause the dropout rate and resistance in Greater East Asia (Japan basically) is at a peak. It is a translation so the remastered one is better, but the translation was not bad, there were very minimal areas where it was rough but it seemed more like a typo than a translation gone wrong so it never affected the sentence or what was happening.

I love thrillers and books about killers in general (psychopaths etc.) and I don't know where to look to find books like that with plot twists and cliffhangers because it's actually my favorite genre after fantasy. Thank you for this video!!! I added 70% of them on my wishlist.

SKT Boss this novel is the most underrated plot twists I’ve seen not just in literature but in films too.
This book is REALLY well structured and the plot twist will hit you like a hammer on glass! 😨

If you haven't read it PLEASE read Donato Carrisi's The Whisperer.... Everyone I passed it to couldn't put it down and was consumed with amazing twists, and so smart. The author wrote true crime for newspapers in Italy and The Whisperer was his debut novel... I have since purchased and read every one of his books and never disappointed.

I'm a thriller and mystery reader and now a new subscriber. I'm maybe not your typical subscriber because I'm really really old but I've Loved this genre of books my entire life. I also love the English and Irish Mysteries. I find myself with a ton of French book and speaking like them. I'm glad you talked about twists because a bad ending ruins the whole book for me. I'm looking at you Lisa Jewell. All I can say is more more more from you that is not Lisa Jewell Aloha

My general favorite genre for any story (musical, novel, movie, etc) is thriller. My favorite books are The Phantom Of The Opera (the book is the thriller, I know a lot of people only think of the musical which is technically a dramatic romance but bear with me on this one lol) and You. I highly recommend them.

Ugh, The Kind Worth Killing was such a let down for me. I had such high hopes, and I think something is wrong with me since I seem to be the only person who doesn’t like it. I feel like I must have just figured out the whole plot and ‘twists’ early on because NOTHING shocked me! So sad about it 😩
