They were studying the language together, yet she was the only one who started to see time non-linear way. Also, the whole “dead daughter” thing was awesome, because we thought it was a flashback, but in reality it was a flashforward the whole time.

#1 you might want to watch again since you misunderstood the sacrifice. He doesn't cut out his tongue because he is horrified for sleeping with his daughter. He cuts out his tongue to make amends for telling the siblings' secret. This is in exchange for his daughter never knowing the truth of who he is. It's a lot deeper than you thought and makes the movie better.
You hit plenty of good ones, but the film that immediately sprung to my mind was 'Million Dollar Baby'. The twist came out of nowhere, creating a completely different story arc. I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best cinematic twist of the 21st century, but it certainly is one that has stayed with me since I first viewed it.

Anyway...the other boy got the vision and he didn't so he found out when it was too late and him and his gf died.
@@giovannifilsnicolas6920 We only find out at the end (unless we pay super close attention to small details that reveal the date the movie is set in) that Final Destination 5 is actually a prequel to the first movie. The only two 'survivors' of the fifth movie are on an airplane in the final scene, in what would've been a 'riding off into the sunset' trope. They cut together unused footage of the first film into it seamlessly, making it seem as if the two were on that infamous flight that kickstarted the Final Destination franchise in the first place. Even though I wanted the couple to live, the twist blew me out of the water enough that I was satisfied.
Maybe not a plot twist per se, but I really didn’t expect “Inglorious Basterds” to go the way it did at the end. I was just expecting another war style film with a Tarantino spin on it, not a complete re-write of how the war was ended.
I'm pretty sure Tarantino did not intend THIS, but what I recall most vividly was the bar scene, where we all learn that in Germany, a thumb counts as a finger. So, counting to 3 is thumb, index, middle finger, not index, middle, ring finger.
I still think my favorite twist of the century was the ending of Terminator 3. How the T-850's goal was never to stop Skynet or prevent Judgement Day, the rise of the machines was entirely inevitable. The mission all along was just to get John and Kate together and make sure they survive to form the Resistance. The reveal of them both being not at some central nerve center of Skynet, but a presidential nuclear bunker, is brilliant.
I love the new ideas Jordan Peele brings to the table. He's truly in his element. Also, it took me a hot minute to recover from the ending of Infinity War!
I love how Watch Mojo constantly contradicts itself. This list talks about how Shutter Island has the best movie plot twist of all time, then have another countdown stating that Shutter Island's big twist wasn't that great and was in plain sight all along.
Gone Girl was awesome, made me read the book. The Prestige is a masterpiece. And the Avengers wasn’t a twist if we already knew what Thanos wanted to do with the infinity stones.
@@Marvelfanatic3658 a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE movie that will make you feel dirty watching it, and make you feel nothing but Rage for Battfleck's decision at the very end.
Lucky Number Slevin better be on here. The first watch of that movie is amazing. Haven't had that feeling of shock and awe in a while....at least until the movie Us.
The problem with that film is the first half is trying to be like a Tarrantino film and failing. Second half is spectacular, but the first half almost ruins it.
The Book of Eli hit differently though. I remember watching it as a kid and when that plot twist hit I sat in the dark for about a half an hour just thinking the whole movie over for clues and subtleties

What freaked me out about "The Others" was when the curtains were suddenly gone. The real owners of the house were getting sick of the ghosts closing them, because one of her kids was allergic to Light. On the first watch, we think it's the ghosts who removed the curtains.

Since we kind of wanted a proper fight (or is that just me?), I wouldn't put it on any 'best' list. I got genuinely mad, feeling it was a cop out. Then again, I was never a fan of the series (what kind of vampire story isn't even remotely horror?!), so my views on it might be biased. I liked The Host, though. Of course that's the one the author drops...
For me Parasite is #1! I couldn´t believe the twist of it when I watched the movie for the first time in my life. It was fantastic written and twisted the whole movie to an complete unexpected story.

Book Case scene in Interstellar
I was coming to comment this. Glad I wasn't the only one
@Ellis James Plant
How is not that a twist?
Yea, that was epic
Ellis James Plant...so you knew her Dad was the Ghost?
EXACTLY! Thank you!
I look down in the comments for some funny reactions and i ended up getting spoiled for even more movies....
That was a plot twist for me😩😩
I still have chills when I remember Oldboy! And I’ve watched it like 10 years ago!
One of the greatest movies
The twist of Sinister should have been included even as an honorable mention.
Same with the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The ending caught me by surprise. I didn't see that coming at all.
The Book of Eli twist ....oh my God!! I remember the movie theater going nuts when that scene played
I really wasn’t expecting that at all!! It was a great twist
Get Out story was taken from The Skeleton Key
Be careful what you put in the title, you might summon M. Night Shyamalan
Is this the man responsible for The Last Airbender?
Virress yes
The Mist was a fine horror movie, nothing to write home about, but man that ending was absolutely devastating.
Memento was so freaking good and I'm so happy it's on this list!
didn't realize how much i love plot twists until i realized that most of these movies are on my 'all time fave' movie list
What's gone girl?
@@Marvelfanatic3658 a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE movie that will make you feel dirty watching it, and make you feel nothing but Rage for Battfleck's decision at the very end.
@@TheGhostofMrArthurs I completely agree. I feel the same way.
#1: That IS quite the twist. Omg, what is this movie? I screamed for 3 min straight!!!
Man oldboy hits in a different way! This movie openede to explore all Korean thriller s
I recommend "the Invisible guest"
Oh God the ending of The Mist broke me for days. And Memento is legendary masterpiece
Lucky Number Slevin better be on here. The first watch of that movie is amazing. Haven't had that feeling of shock and awe in a while....at least until the movie Us.
I forgot about that movie. Mine was The Usual Suspects but Lucky Number Sleven should have been on the list as well!
The problem with that film is the first half is trying to be like a Tarrantino film and failing. Second half is spectacular, but the first half almost ruins it.
Bro Yens That Movie is Godlike for ne top 10
What about Frailty when you find out that he really does have the gift to see things
The Book of Eli hit differently though. I remember watching it as a kid and when that plot twist hit I sat in the dark for about a half an hour just thinking the whole movie over for clues and subtleties
Thanks for the 20+ spoilers👍
The Others is one of the best one time watch movies ever. Once you know the twist the movie isn't that fun to watch but on the first watch it is pretty nuts.
The orphan is getting a prequel
Really
Don't tease
It's based on a true story too... i was shocked

I KNOW HOW THEIR COMMENT IS A WEEK OLD:
_They uploaded the video privately and then made it public a minute ago. There._
Oh
I didn’t even realise their comment is a week old
They know time travel
@thistubeisfucked u don't have to be a jerk dude.
What freaked me out about "The Others" was when the curtains were suddenly gone. The real owners of the house were getting sick of the ghosts closing them, because one of her kids was allergic to Light. On the first watch, we think it's the ghosts who removed the curtains.
I'm surprised Robert DeNiro's *Hide and Seek* wasn't even mentioned.
Because it was dumb af. It made no sense at all. Like at all
@@imjusthereforthecomments4159 Just how exactly was it dumb? Why did it make no sense? Care to explain...
@@humbertojimmy she was just ok with hanging out with her dad watching him kill cats and knowing he killed her mom and she didn’t want to get help from anyone, she even pushed away Elizabeth and that girl she had a play date with. She was just ok with chilling in the house with her crazy dad alone? And he made a 10 pound 7 year old move a body? Yeah ok, that’s realistic. When they revealed the twist I just kind of sat there like 🤨😒. It just didn’t have the impact they wanted it to IMO. But you are entitled to your opinion. I like movies others don’t.
@@imjusthereforthecomments4159 I don't think you understood the depth of the plot. Oh well. The guy spent the whole movie in a panic thinking how could he protect his daughter from a stranger (very wwell acted, by the way) and in the end HE was the stranger all along. It was brilliant. But ok, some like it, others don't.
@@humbertojimmy I didn’t say the acting wasn’t good but to me it was just implausible that a child would just roll with the punches like that. That’s my only qualm with the movie
Top 10 Movie Franchises That Lost Their Touch
Cesar Victorino interesting list.
Add Saw.
Star Wars 😢
Sharknado lmao
Exorcist
Ok but imma just say that frozen should be on this list when we find out Hans is a bad guy 😤
Sammy Aguilar yeah but it’s a Disney film
Sammy Aguilar that’s not a plot twist
KyleeNguyen and? It doesn’t say anything about that it has to be live action movies
No..... It's just a dumb plottwist. There's no indication that Hans is a bad guy. Like not a single clue. It makes all his actions during the film make no sense. It's just there for the sake of having a plottwist
Nt gonna lie...u got me there
I think Saw should have been #1. The ending was epic.
Agreed
I started watching Shutter Island and before they finished their last day I had figured he was a patient there. The dialog was incongruous.
Mojo: Doppelgangers slaughtering there look alikes.
Katherine: Am I a joke to you?
LOL she's the best
What movie please

my favorite plot twist ever is the end of the movie Fractured
That's my all- time favourite by far, I'm surprises why it isn't on this list!

Do you mean the one with Sam Worthington?
@@romanxxxxyoutube yes! you should watch it! 100% recommendable
@@romanxxxxyoutube YES I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH @Giuli Fuentes
"The others" of Nichole kidman is the best among all.
I saw that one coming a mile away....from the very first scene, in fact.
@@gspendlove how,
@@gspendlove what made u get the twist in the first few minutes ?
@@heisenberg5331 I'd seen The Sixth Sense already. I didn't know what it was called then, but I knew the "Dead All Along" trope was in play.
honestly I'm really surprised the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 fight scene plot twist wasn't even on honorable mention
Denis Villeneuve’s masterpiece ”Incendies 2010” should've easily taken place in the top 3!
For me Parasite is #1! I couldn´t believe the twist of it when I watched the movie for the first time in my life. It was fantastic written and twisted the whole movie to an complete unexpected story.
The Plot Twist in Parasite gave me evtrem chills, especially the ,,ghost" scene
I loved this top so much.
Us, Hereditary, Parasite, Get Out, Arrival, Orphan, Infinity War, some of my favorite movies from the 2010’s.
I thought you meant the year so I was going to comments all of them aren’t made in the year 2010 but now I know what ya mean
Predestination:
the movie has the main hero, main villain, main hero's mother, and main hero's father be the same exact person all at once.
That one was good
Looking for a movie list to watch but lacks time to watch many of it..this is it!😂
Stupid
I agree that oldboy is number one, those twist wasn't complex, but dark af
can u please explain the twist to me i dont get it
@@2xgotemmm the point is, odae su has done a taboo thing unconsciously, tbh i dont want to spoiler it
“Whoever wrote that . . .”? Uh, that would be Shakespeare.
Jordan Peele has rejuvenated the horror franchise. The man is like a new school wes craven. So inventive.
WTF111 Do not compare Jordan Peele to Wes Craven. Peele is a one trick pony, and all of his movies have the same message lol.
Saw’s ending was fucking, mindblowing. The first time I watched it and John started to rise I was like “Wait what the fuck”. It’s just one of the greatest thriller and horror films ever made
Shutter Island messed with me, I'm left wondering if my entire life has been a lie.
Maybe I'm adopted
You forgot the Murder On The Orient Express, that was hell of a twist.
First horror movie I watched at age 10 was Orphan...terrified me 😂😂😂
Oldboy's twist was really fucked up lmao. I still can't get over how fucked up that punishment was even after watching the movie for years.
I think “the orphanage” and the “invisible guest “ have the best twisted plot
"Derailed" (with Clive Owen and Jennifer Anniston) really throws you a curveball. I won't spoil it!
That was a great one
The book was good as well.
Ok thank you for putting Oldboy, we all needed to hear that
