It's hard to ignore you, when I saw your new videos I know I will find myself laughing at some stage as you give your own analysis about the car. You just nail it. Thanks keep it up the good work!
I test drove the H6 last year and let me tell you, the car drives beautiful, the technology in that car is awesome and it's worth buying. Absolutely fell in love with the car.
Where have they cut corners to get to that cheaper price tag? With the other brands you pay for the badge. As soon as Haval establishes itself as a reliable brand in RSA, it will become a 'not so cheap anymore' Hyundai type brand. Many brands from many other industries have done the same.
I saw one 2 days ago and I said to my wife: What the hell is that ? Haval ? Never heard of it and came home and googled it. The more information I gathered the more I liked it. And today went for a test drive. Woooow, I was blown away. First of all the looks, stunning and sitting in it for the first time. Very luxurious feel that you only find in way more expensive cars. It reminds of a Volvo XC60 that I tried a year ago but costs 3 times more here in Thailand. How is that possible. Man I am sold. I am gonna get one soon. And the drivetrain here in Thailand is awesome. 1.5 liter turbo and too electric engines so it's a hybrid. And the combined output is 249hp. That's what I'm talking about. Not like Honda's HRV with 130 shitty ponies, which cost the same. Oh man this brand will shake the ground of it's competitors for a looong time, once people find out this is around...
It would be quite interesting to see the crash test results of the Jolion and the H6, because this H6 seems like the vehicle to go for at the moment in SA.
Like the new gwm p series that got a 5 star in Australia, even the h2 got a 5 star. No reason why jolion and h6 wouldn't get a 5 star. Pretty safe cars. The Chinese are trying way too hard, this is the xiaomi of cars
@@sizwedinisesoko I would just stick with the A-NCAP, EURO NCAP are even better. C-NCAP are well known 5 star clubs, i mean...even chinese people dont trust c-ncap. Anyhow, im sure these haval/gwm will score 4-5 stars even in euro ncap.

Hi and love from India 👋 🙂. Just happened to come across this channel. Very informative, honest, and enjoyable reviews. To the host and people who are wondering..... how Haval and other Chinese cars / brands are priced so reasonably with all its high quality materials and tech? The answer in a nutshell is China's MASSIVE manufacturing supply chain. But the answer is not so simple also...it factors in many other things. China's MASSIVE manufacturing supply chain covers everything...from springs or radiators to advanced automatic transmissions...and I am just talking about automotive parts here. China is also a leader in printed circuit boards (PCB) and CNC machines..these CNC machines tool parts like that jewelled drive selector dial that you see in the Haval H6 to amazing precision. China is doing what Japan did to the automotive, electronic, and other industries in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and even now....but a 100 times over....much larger scale. Japan is a wonder..as all this was accomplished with Japan's relatively much smaller resources. China has invested a lot in education and skills and the results are showing. China is not what the western media shows you or wants you to believe. There so...so many factors to what China is today....solid administration...strong policies...all that we are not aware of. Not all cars are overpriced. Japanese and Korean cars do offer reasonable value for your money.... good bang for buck. It's just that no country can match China's manufacturing capabilities. Yes it does expose certain overpriced car brands...that's partly right too.
Beautiful review Ciro, and beautiful car indeed. Actually I've loved the Havals since they were introduced in 2017. Maybe they must deploy that engine to the Jolion as well as an option. Because it seems the 2l turbo is smoother and pairing well with it's gearbox.
Nice Video Chiro I've been waiting for this car review on this channel for a while We have been looking to get this car We drive the Haval H1 Its been very good indeed
Haval have taken the South African motoring market by storm. They maybe Chinese but they are brilliantly engineered and their build quality is top notch. The pricing is very competitive and they very highly specced as standard. No wonder that they are flying off the showroom floors.
to me seeing this is knowing the bigger brands are just skating on reputations at the moment and not stepping up the game and thinking about the buyer!
Just bought the superlux......few cons you will pic up if u daily the car.........since you couldn't find any. 1. Little heavy on gas if you running around. I'm averaging 12/13 overall. 2. Quite a bit of Body roll compared to a tiguan. You won't feel it.......your passengers will. 3. 120KPH Warnings needs to be removed by booking the car IN. 4. Rust checks every 3mths.
I agree 10000% with you on this, and with our potholes in the country, it sometimes feel like the car and the driver fights to dodge the pothole, car wants you to go straight, and you fight to dodge haha
I absolutely luv your reviews straight to the point, honest & believable but my colleagues keep saying it’s not safe in an accident it virtually falls apart
Love mine. Actually the only thing that bugs me is the boot cover (parcel shelf) clips from underneath so makes it difficult to slide closed if your boot is full of luggage. That's my only gripe. Oh and had a guy in a M3 stop me in traffic, wind down his window and say how much he liked the look of it!
It's crazy! Cause Haval has Partnered with BMW as they are looking at developing new 'green' vehicles together. Haval also hired Land Rovers chief interior designer who is also helping with exterior design hence why the H6 C has a similar look to the Evoque.
Well thought out review. And honestly I feel the review was well balanced. With many more models coming out of China, you need such thought out reviews so that the consumers will know the real difference between a Chinese brand and others. I really liked the point when you touched that the fact the durability of these vehicles. Please keeping such videos. I personally believe if the Chinese manufacturers get their act together with quality, and improve the perception of durability, they are really going to give a run for the money for most European car manufacturers!!!
Drove my H6 from CPT to KZN. Smooth, comfortable , pleasure to drive. If you're in the market, the only reason not to buy an H6 is brand loyalty (silly reason IMHO).
@@diaryofnricom163 Still happy with my purchase. Haven't had any issues. The fuel consumption isn't brilliant but I think it's pretty average for this class of vehicles. I don't like that Android auto is not wireless but apple carplay is. Other than that no complaints.

Picking mine up next week. Only had to wait 4 months. We were considering the RAV4 but that was a 1.5 year wait, 30k more for the top spec and has half of the tech compared to the H6. It was a no brainer. Lucky we got in early, the prices are slowly going up in Australia.
Wow, nice to see folks in South Africa enjoy the Haval SUV, H6 has been the best-selling car in China market for like 5 years. It's reliable and good to drive, I guess there are more Chinese manufacturers coming to the international market like Geely and Changan. But the best part of Chinese cars are the EVs, like NIO, Xpeng, and BYD. Hope you guys can enjoy those great products soon in the future.

I just parked my 2021 Fortuner next to a new H6 today in a shopping center parking lot, size wise, H6 is even little bit wider then Fortuner, height and length are shorter. For this price I’m start thinking change my wife’s car to this now.
When i got my vehicle, a 2013 model (in 2018) it has 4 electric windows, Bluetooth radio, adjustable steering wheel, radio volume which can adjust according to your driving speed, drivers seat which can go up md down not just front and back. It's a base model kia rio. Some, if not all these features are not available in the base polo and tiida of the same years. The Asians are just the best. The luxury makers are even worse. Having to pay for almost every feature on those really expensive vehicles is so dumb.
From all the havals you have reviewed they have this bumping/knocking sound coming from suspension or tyres if you go over a bump but still road presence and beautiful cars😍
Great review, thanks. Just 1 question - what is the real-world fuel economy? I know the H6C is quite heavy, the Jolion isn't too frugal either. But "claimed fuel economies" are as useful as a parachute to a diver. What did your tests return?
The question was : "....what is the real world fuel economy?" "...it's not light on fuel." Does the word COMPREHENSION mean anything to you? Dumbest / doffest answer ever! What is "not light".... 24l / 100 km.... 8,5 I / 100 km....
Im not really a picky car person or a car person in general as long as its comfortable and take me to where I need to go but damn when I saw this car the first time, I fell in love with it. Thanks for the video. Really makes it more appealing for me
Yeah, Mitsubishi make dull under-performing reliable cars, but they know a thing or two about engines. The previous gen M3 and M4 used Mitsubishi turbos.
Only thing I can add is I’ve test driven a Jolion and if you on a slightly rough service you can hear some plastic noises in the cabin and I’m wondering when it’s got a few kilos on it how it will be. I think this is where you will see the biggest differences with more premium brands like Audi and BMW is that the build quality of the cabin and how they’re put together is in a different class. I haven’t driven the H6 but will do soon. For me it’s that extra attention to the detail of how the dashboard, door cards and other cabin panels are put together that make the difference. I get that all people aren’t like that but for me I hate noises in a cabin and it indicates to me a sign of quality when you drive a vehicle of a rough service and it’s quite and even more so when it’s had a few kilos in it and it’s still quite and solid inside the cabin. I just have a sneaky feeling this is where the Chinese cars are going to show a lease quality than the Germans for example.
Forgot to mention that I also upgraded my service plan to a 5 year Maintenance plan for only R10k extra. Got a 7 year unlimited warranty as well. So no worries for all these years except for tires.

How do you find the car now after almost a year? It will be great to have a owner's feedback. Thanks.
@@bailemagana4263 Super Lux Jolion is now 451K rands - crazy that they increased the prices so much in a year's time.
chinese bot
I'm a Haval H2 owner since Feb 2018.I'm happy to report my car is still in one piece lol Great brand selling quality cars👌 Buy one now before they wake up and increase in price like Hyundai and Kia did lol
This year shipping is very very costly.
@@jxmai7687 but prices are still very reasonable compared to what we have..
Hyundai makes me sick.. their cars are so basic . Have you seen the venue??. Starting price is 280 000 and doesn't even come with touch screen
@@hunadimakgatho3403 The different, many non-Chinese company are focusing at the profit, but all Chinese company are still focusing at the marketing, this why see now Chinese EV have very comparatively quality and price.
Ordered my H6 Super Luxury today. 1 to 2 months waiting period, but at R514k....worth the wait....managed to get a Maintenance plan as well.
Ciro, your analogies are something else😂😂😂
Reminds me of Huawei when it came to the scenes all those years ago. Everyone that had it was embarrassed to admit they owned it. Years later everyone wants to have a Huawei. The same is already happening with this car. I'm actually in disbelief at how much great of a car it is. I want one. I'm absolutely in love with it. BTW, awesome review.
Never thought that I'm my life I'd enjoy a review of a Chinese car 😂 wait until they send electric cars.
I am eagerly waiting for the chinese EV's. Im giving them about 1.5 to 2 years to make landfall!
Cheap EVs will turn the tide in electrification just as cheaper cars made cars popular back in the early days of automobiles.
LoL
I saw this review and came in running. I love this machine. It is massive and I appreciate the crisp motor vehicle journalism 👏 I find myself struggling to choose between the H6 and the P-Series. This will be my deep meditation from now until next year 😅
The P-series is a good option if you know you want to load stuff 🤣 but if you know the struggle of parking space in this malls then the H6. P-series is huge.
Take the P-Series, you get more car in it
@@nokocambelngoasheng9279 better resale value too.
They are certainly very confident of their product. Here in Aus Haval comes with a 7 year unlimited warranty.
You don't have our roads, not even in the outback!
@@johanterblans8266 This is so true, lol
Even the badge is looking better without the red background.
Well done Haval.
Where have they cut corners to get to that cheaper price tag? With the other brands you pay for the badge. As soon as Haval establishes itself as a reliable brand in RSA, it will become a 'not so cheap anymore' Hyundai type brand. Many brands from many other industries have done the same.
I agree. Haval won't be cheap forever. Maybe they have cheap labour
Perfected the art of mass production. I think its the biggest selling SUV in China. And there are a lot of people there!
Let's not forget those massive Chinese government subsidies they get. Makes a huge difference.
True but remember China gets really cheap raw materials from Africa
@@shaungranger2166 I wouldn't call it cheap.... Our unproductive inefficient labour actually make our minerals quite expensive.... That's why everyone closed down.
Saw this car on the road a few days ago. And I thought it’s mad expensive. I’m genuinely impressed
Finally. You guys got your hands on one. I have one and love it. 1 month now and it's perfect.
H6 has already got the C-NCAP rating, now waiting for the ANCAP
@@sizwedinisesoko I would just stick with the A-NCAP, EURO NCAP are even better. C-NCAP are well known 5 star clubs, i mean...even chinese people dont trust c-ncap. Anyhow, im sure these haval/gwm will score 4-5 stars even in euro ncap.
@@Ilikepie18855 You can see CIASI's test, which has same standard with IIHS test.
@@Ilikepie18855 Nope C-NCAP uses the same standard as Euro-NCAP, the truth is nowadays any Chinese car from a major brand is very safe.
OMG. Been waiting for this review. Eventhough I already have one on order!!! Test drove, nice power. Such good value for money. Competitors on notice, great for the industry
And as usual, an amazing review. You've answered smooth of my questions. I will definitely look into buying the super luxury .. .because my current tiguan is ready yo be renewed. Thanks buddy.
Another great review, for starters. Elsewhere, we are paying for "perceived" prestige, which - in my view, has cost too many marriages/relationships in RSA. Literally! L😅L
PS: the Fire extinguisher is also mandated by the RMTC in South Africa, as far as I'm aware.
The fire extinguisher is not mandatory.
And this is why people wanted to hear about this car so much
Glad I caught if fresh! This is the review I’ve been waiting for!! Love your work Ciro!
Only watched 2 reviews now, but this channel is really well done. Good info, quality editing etc etc etc.
nice!
How did they do it😳🤔 so much luxury fitted in such low price. I salute Haval for their massive sales
You're telling me that a Haval in South Africa is selling so good that it can barely be found in dealerships?! We've been conquered.
Beautiful review Ciro, and beautiful car indeed. Actually I've loved the Havals since they were introduced in 2017.
Maybe they must deploy that engine to the Jolion as well as an option. Because it seems the 2l turbo is smoother and pairing well with it's gearbox.
Haval is not playing games!
Nice Video Chiro
I've been waiting for this car review on this channel for a while
We have been looking to get this car
We drive the Haval H1
Its been very good indeed
My uncle drives an H1. It's a Good car, it really needs a facelit though
Been driving H1, 4 years now 70k km on the clock no issues. M looking forward to this monster one day
Haval have taken the South African motoring market by storm. They maybe Chinese but they are brilliantly engineered and their build quality is top notch. The pricing is very competitive and they very highly specced as standard. No wonder that they are flying off the showroom floors.
If you want see real Chinese products you should go to China….. the market is really bloody competitive……
@@ericxu3860 Yes China is by far the most competitive market with the most brands, if you want market share in China you have to be top notch.
to me seeing this is knowing the bigger brands are just skating on reputations at the moment and not stepping up the game and thinking about the buyer!
Clicked so fast when I saw this notification 😜
Me too!
The h6 looks familiar to the land rovers both exterior and interior, because it's the same designer.
Thanks , was really waiting for this review before finalising this car to buy. At last got your reliable feedback - ready to go ☺️👍
Ciro does like 3D cameras.. I remember when he did the X5 Review and he was impressed with its 3D camera as well 😂
This is how almost all Chinese cars interiors are like ….premium quality and super affordable! I love Haval!
yes ! the major brands need to be taught a strong lesson by losing market share .
I have the ultra and it’s amazing!! Very happy buyer here
Just bought the superlux......few cons you will pic up if u daily the car.........since you couldn't find any.
Your colleagues can say any amount of unsubstantiated random things they want, it is for you to go out and find out the truth for yourself.
What fuel consumption did you get?
Please tell us some points after almost a year if you still own it. Thanks.
@@diaryofnricom163 Still happy with my purchase. Haven't had any issues. The fuel consumption isn't brilliant but I think it's pretty average for this class of vehicles. I don't like that Android auto is not wireless but apple carplay is. Other than that no complaints.
@@ariramkilowan8051 Thanks. It really looks top notch. We see lots of tiggo and haval in Joburg now. Hopefully Chinese cars will give other car makers run for their money in future.
Good honest review. Great looking car, could force BMW to lower their prices. Interior is ultra modern. Paint finish is excellent. Drives extremely well and quiet and smooth.
Very nice car indeed! At 09:10 I think you wanted to say "If you reverse into something in this car you are a moron" but you were too kind to say it🤣🤣
Picking mine up next week. Only had to wait 4 months. We were considering the RAV4 but that was a 1.5 year wait, 30k more for the top spec and has half of the tech compared to the H6. It was a no brainer. Lucky we got in early, the prices are slowly going up in Australia.
Haval reminds me very much of Huawei smartphones, it's becoming a fast growing brand, taking on the well established brands
Didn't end well for huawei
@@josh3221ify The nasty dirty petty thug USA cannot stop Huawei, it'll come back stronger.
Car not yet reviewed until you do it. Great Job.
Definitely worth a look. Time to ditch brand snobishness. It looks like great value.
also the designer for Land Rover resigned and works for Haval . that’s why it’s got that super luxury feel . AMAZING car
Great review as always, I love your humour whilst delivering vehicle reviews.
How is changan CS75
Don't forget in the super Lux you get a heads-up display and more speakers also all wheel drive. I'm loving my H6 never looking back!!!
How does the stereo sound in the super lux version ? 8 speakers ?
10 speakers, not the loudest I've heard but good enough. Super Lux
@@wavenharper3091 I checked out a H6 Ultra Vanta at the dealer. Brought along a memory stick with music. Sounds ok. Better than most in the segment. I am definitely getting the Hybrid later in the year.
I'm jealous that I miss out on the hybrid
Thanks for a wonderful and very appealing review once again Mr. CIRO
Nah… ‘luxury’ brands have been ripping people off. This car is a no-brainer.
The waiting list for this and the Jolion is looooooooooooooooooooooooong! I was told today that if I buy it now I will get it in June.
Pretty impressed by the H6.
Pretty well priced too👌
I just parked my 2021 Fortuner next to a new H6 today in a shopping center parking lot, size wise, H6 is even little bit wider then Fortuner, height and length are shorter.
For this price I’m start thinking change my wife’s car to this now.
Hahaha change now
I'm personally hoping for a BAIC B40 review, no body seems to be reviewing them
The interior of this car is so light and airy, so dreamy, the design is brilliant 🤩
Having to pay for almost every feature on those really expensive vehicles is so dumb.
great, we are getting ours in 1 week. The backlog at every dealer is insane. 40+ people on the lists waiting.
Well in Australia the car comes with 7 year Warranty as standard
And unlimited Kms.
What did your tests return?
it is not light on fuel that I can promise you. We have the H6 lux and ford ranger, my DC is lighter on juice than the H6 suprisingly
The question was :
"....what is the real world fuel economy?"
"...it's not light on fuel."
Does the word COMPREHENSION mean anything to you?
Dumbest / doffest answer ever!
What is "not light".... 24l / 100 km.... 8,5 I / 100 km....
haval H6 is the best seller in china for many years, reliable quality and good value in money
Was looking at the RAV 4 but nah this is better

Finally!! I've been waiting for this review forever now. The Jollion is a nice car but this is the one I've been waiting for.
I wish they offered the Diesel engine option
Im not really a picky car person or a car person in general as long as its comfortable and take me to where I need to go but damn when I saw this car the first time, I fell in love with it. Thanks for the video. Really makes it more appealing for me
Thanks for watching! We hope you found the video useful.
I love the fact that they have used Mitsubishi engines especially in the H2
Yeah, Mitsubishi make dull under-performing reliable cars, but they know a thing or two about engines. The previous gen M3 and M4 used Mitsubishi turbos.
These old engines may use a little bit more fuel but that old tech will keep going strong for a long time.
Chinese cars have way better quality than German ones, even though the brands you mentioned cost twice as much.
Forgot to mention that I also upgraded my service plan to a 5 year Maintenance plan for only R10k extra. Got a 7 year unlimited warranty as well. So no worries for all these years except for tires.
Wow that's great. How are the brakes
Tyres and petrol you mean. Where did you buy it?
Hi got the Haval H6 Ultra and it's a dream to drive with a lot of safety features, the cabin is so spacious.
