Thanks Skip. I have a student that I have shared this video. He can play ok in the root position and has yet to get to other positions. Your approach and pace is wonderful. Brilliant explanation too!

Do you create you on chord backing tracks? Or is there a good resource for one chord tracks?

I don't make my own backing tracks. I use to but there are so many good ones here on RUclips. Here is a sample of one in Am7th ruclips.net/video/HZ8JLCpGADs/видео.html

If you get a chance check out something I played on recently. It's a free download of a project I played all the electric guitar on except the slide guitar. It has some really great players on it and if you like blues you will like it. Aintfinishedyet.com

Maybe I'm missing something but at times you seem to skip positions, or at least have them numbered differently? More than likely I'm just not advanced to this level. Example you at times seemed to move from 1st to 4th or 5th to 7th?

I listened to the video and I don't think I skipped any of the positions. It could be the way I relate to playing and calling the positions in relation to the scale degree. Example : When starting on the minor 3rd I call this position the 3rd. Some people would call this the 2nd position because you are starting on the 2nd note of the scale, I just prefer to name it with the actual scale degree you are starting on. Hope this helps.
