If you don't have remember the password you can't forgot or found the password but by reseting you will loose your whole data

NO! no, no no! You password is not safe as soon as You register Your HD trough the Fckin Web with Your email. That is stupid. I was hoping this cheap HD has in built encription program. Screw that! Just never use Your external HD while connected to internet and do not register it if You want Your data to be safe. Use third party encription.

Doesn't work, unfortunately. My version of Toolkit absolutely does not show One Touch With Password or anything remotely related to putting a password on it.
Try on other pc
Encrypt the drive with veracrypt and put the password.

How a few dollars lost a multi million dollar sale:
I bought a Seagate back in the day. Forgot the power supply and its not listed on the side where you find it 99.99999% of the time. So I called up Seagate and asked them how many volts and milli amps so that I could find one locally or even buy an adjustable one like the ones I have now that are both A/C and 12 DC for the car that will step up to higher voltages.
So called 'Customer service" said they didnt know. I was taken back seeing the external HD's were state of the art at the time and there were only a couple models like 250G and 500G and knew even if I drove around it would be sheer luck if I could even find one to purchase just for the power supply. Money was no object, but time certainly was.
I was thinking either 12 or 19 volt. The data on the HD was proprietary, to be kept off computers hooked up to the internet coupled with encryption. (China will steal what you ate for dinner last night). As all as I needed was voltage and even the blogs were empty handed.
However she said that I could order one over the phone directly with her. So then I asked, what voltage and milli amp is the one you sell? Of course she did not know. Even if I did buy one, it would have arrived long after the time sensitive material was needed....ASA the Fk P.
Since then I have bought about 8 personal Western Digital External HD's and the one thing that I really like is the integrated power supply, just plug and play from the USB. Theres few words to encompass how mad I was with Seagate.

It was my input that I believe was a deciding factor in a huge purchase for very large and well known global company. I told my friend/customer about my experience with Seagate as a heads up. Aka, they will screw you, and sod o mize you if they know its an emergency and only for a couple dollars.
Im not sure if my input was that important, but my long time couple decades customer/friend thats a shooter at a "global" company sure matters. He also trust me enough to have the codes to get onto the property.The deal was so big they dealt directly with WD as it really was a bulk package deal worth well into the 7 figures from what I gather. Yup, and all because they wanted to sell me
