    I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

    I could not tell if the plastic cap for the front wheel had a metal insert or not. Mine has a metal insert, but the cap won't go back on with the metal insert as it keeps the plastic cap from getting seated down far enough and if I take the metal insert out the cap is prevented from snapping in place by the axle itself. Suggestions? The cap seems fine otherwise and appears like it should attach again with no problem.

    Your hands cover how to remove the pin in the front tire.

    I just replaced my front tire. It seems a little wobbly...is that normal? There seems to be too much space.

    So it's necessary to change the entire wheel? Not possible to put a new tire on the wheel if you run over a nail?

    • @joatmon8954
      @joatmon8954 3 года назад

      You can put a tube in it…no need for a whole new tire.

    Is that bolt holding the tire on called a shoulder bolt ?

    The plastic cap is the hardest part to deal with on us. I cut mine off. Absolutely ridiculous that it's not a threaded object or there's not some other way to house that bolt. Plus the guy says he uses this tool right here, what tool? you don't show it.

    I removed the bolt and washers on mine, but the wheel does not "just slide off the axle".

      Did you ever figure out the issue? Mine is doing the same thing. I was mad when he said “just slide right off”

      @@drakeroten8928 No, but I watched some other fellow who does small engine repair and only has one hand. He did the whole thing start to finish without edits in less than 14 minutes. Wow. He made it easy. I was able to do it in an hour (I'm slow) even with the wheel still on. Now I suppose you will want to know who it was. Aright. Don't know. It's "[somebody's] small engine" channel. Dude has many years of experience it's obvious. He never mentions not having another hand. You just notice it all of a sudden. Never slows him down.

    I wanted to see you actually change the tire, where the grease fitting is plastic and slides on now instead of being welded to the wheel like it is from the dealer.

      Easiest way to do it is to buy the wheel and tire already assembled. That's how they're sold...good luck changing those little tires

      Also, you didn't change the tires. You just took it off the axle and put it back on. Useless video.

    I own an XT2 and the right rear was in need of repair. I followed your directions. However, the bolt was very hard to unscrew and it broke. I was careful and checked to make sure the bolt was in a normal thread direction. MTD seems to be trying to save about 25 cents by not using lock washers as the old Cub Cadet used on the back wheels. Whoever assembled the wheels on my Cub Cadet put too much Blue Loctite on the bolt. This is insanity! No mower now and what do I have to do for repairs? I'll have the Cub Cadet XT2 picked up for repair and will buy a new axle because MTD was saving 25 cents instead of buying lock washers. I'm very upset. Never buy Cub Cadet again. Two years ago the starter went out just months after the warrantee was over. It took from June until October to get the part and have it fixed! Terrible company MTD. Stop using Blue Loctite!!!

    There's a difference between a tire and wheel/rim. This video doesn't seem to get that

    Yet another unhelpful video. You don't cover the most difficult part, getting the tire off the rim and putting a new one on. You should change the title to "how to remove cub cadet wheels and then put them back on

      Just a simple ratchet and extension and proper socket should do the job.
