I did this today. It's also a good idea to replace the valve stem while you're at it.
Great tip. Thanks so much for watching!
The tire looked good to me. Id put that on a shelf as a spare
I don’t know where both were leaking but since I cleaned the bead and mounted the new tires, I have not had to refill them ONCE.
What If I have a tire off the rim and I tie it as well but it doesn’t inflate ?
You’ve got to tighten down on that strap so the bead touches the rim all the way around. That’s where your air is leaking and why the tire won’t fill.
Spray some brake cleaner on the rim and boom that baby on there. Make sure to be ready to inflate the tire asap when the tire explodes onto the rim. And dont try over and over let the rim and tire cool down first if you dont succeed at once.
@sanderdeblock8869 I know right! I have seen it done many times but was terrified to try myself.
Show me how to change one if you cant get the rim off im in that situation now put a gear puller on it it started to crush the rim its not coming off and yes i even heated it with a torch
Did you remove the E clip washer?
@@FieldGuidetoDIY this is a older one it doesn't have those clips it's got a shaft key that locks the rim in place it's rusted in place I've heated it beat it with a mini sledge thinking about using a sawzall to cut it off and just look for another rim
@nino6664 it is not impossible to remove and replace the tire from the rim with the rim still attached to the mower but it is TONS easier. Good luck!
@@nino6664I had this situation this morning. I put some blaster on it, let it sit for a bit, then placed a rod/block on the back side and hammered away, rotating the wheel every few hits to take advantage of the "rocking" motion.
Took forever, but got it off. Now I can't get the tire off the rim. 🤦🏼♂️
@CredibleHulk10 hang in there. You got this!
I still can't figure out how you grew two extra hands putting the new tire on the rim🤔
Maybe in the next video?😅
I married up. Mrs DIY helps me out big time. Thanks for watching.
@@FieldGuidetoDIYNice to have a spouse like that isn’t it, mine has saved me several times, and if I misplace something she’s an expert at finding whatever I’m looking for!!!!!!

Absolutely. Let’s just say the sweat that you see in the shot is not stage makeup. Thanks for watching.
