Nice. I have 4 or 5 original Kriegsmarine U-boat leather jackets in grey color. I sometimes wear them in cold weather too...I don't think "normal" people will recognize them as "nazi" jackets.
The M/37 greatcoat looks basically just like a regular greatcoat/trenchcoat...Go for it! It will keep you warm and stylish. But I recommend you to remove any "nazi" symbols. Most people nowdays do not recognize "nazi" clothes without symbols. With my U-boat jackets I have actually got compliments, like "nice jacket" or stuff like that. And even if you wear a German coat does not make you a nazi.

Ah this takes me back when I did reenacting back in the mid 80s. We had a lot more original kit as repros were hard to find so it made the interest more expensive. That said our old unit commander Tom "Wolf" Gulliver made jump smocks from old boiler suits but in the decades to come his later versions were spot on replicas and have gained an almost cult following and when they come up fo sale they go very quickly. Lots of people saying "he hasn't got this, he hasn't got that", give the guy a break, like anyone we all had to start somewhere.

One served in the US Army infantry division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge brought back an M42 German helmet and pistol along with its original holster which I have in my possession now. Hey mate most fallschirmjager would wear a blue bread bag a blue water bottle etc but not all and yes most Germans would wear fliegerbluse but when in battle most of them would take them off and yes I do have one and the mess tins where not blue they where mostly a dark green and the buckle is right as it is original
+Calvin Cameron Luftwaffe had blue-grey colored canteen covers same shade as their fliegerbluse. Same way they used blue colored gators with their low boots to help distinguish themselves from the Heer.
You should do a winter version of fallschrimjager. They wear layers under their coat and a parka over their layering, also they wore fingerless gloves and protective fallschrimjager chest gear, which is black, they have white snow camouflage combat pants with their ankle wraps with brown boots.

Max Schmelling, the boxer, was one of the fallschirmjäger on Crete. Bert Trautman was another fallschirmjäger who achieved international fame on the British soccer field after the war.

I see you have the Esbit stove! The fuel tablets smell like rotten shrimp, but they give off nice heat and one piece can boil a cup of water in about five minutes, depending on the weather. They're also great for just warming your hands!
A member of my family was in the FJ 1941-1945..Seeing you get dressed reminds me of the old photos I used to find in the attick..Keep the history alive as an interesting fact from somebody who spoke numerous times with a real FJ..most of the members were not registered Nazis..not even the officers

In the case of a Fallschirmjäger troop, they would have a Holster, regardless of rank
They were all issued with pistols until 1943, then the numbers dropped very heavily. At the end of the war almost none of them had a pistol
Walther P-38s, l pressume.. they were first issued to the German Paratroopers who stormed Eban Emael fortress in Belgium,if l am not mistaken.

FG-42's were made very rarely, it's hard to find them, more STG-44's were made than the FG-42's, if he manages to find one, it'd be hella expensive

False. A lot of Fallschirmjägers wore regular army issue equipment. And blue canteen covers are postwar. They didn't exist in WWII.
