SUGGESTION: Thanks BTD Garage for posting this. I think it's great when people are willing to share stuff with others. I did this and was able to do it by only removing the Battery, disconnecting the two wiring blocks from the ECU, removing the two bolts and nut retaining the ECU allowing the removal of the ECU. After removal of the connectors and nuts on the fuel filter bracket the bracket and fuel filter could be removed without needing to take anything else off.
As there is only the two wiring blocks left to remove and the ECU is out of the way and not going to be damaged, it makes no sense to leave it there. The nut that secures the ECU bracket to the strut turret has to be taken off anyway and the ecu could be left with the the wiring connected though.
Suggestion...remove the air filter element before removing other bits, as you might drop dirt or other things on the element, and unless you are replacing it, or clean it thoroughly, that is the low pressure side direct to the turbo and engine, and you dont want anything ingested.
No need for that. Just cycle the key to “On and Off” position for 3-4 times to bleed the air out before starting the vehicle. Read further instructions at the end of the vid. Thanks!

Ridiculous amount of items to be removed just to change a filter. Fair play for compiling that video
Wow that’s some work to change a filter, 👏
Excellent guide to doing this job, I watched today to see how to do the job as it was part of the service I did this morning. 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Good job Thank you
is it necessary to bleed the fuel system to its union by opening and closing during crank and starting upstream line?
super...
Thanks
hello, thank you for the information, I want to ask a question, how many filter removal tools should I buy for filter change?
Hi! A 3-Jaw filter removal tool should be good enough
@@btdgarage thank you
Merci beaucoup
De rien :)
Does the ECU really need to be disconnected, or can it be moved aside? thanks.

do you loose much fuel? I see a lot of liquid under the vehicle
What year is this vehicle?
Would it be nice if the new filter will be filled with pertrol?

...petrol ?... Diesel would be better
@@btdgarage what about a car with push button start ? Hit the button on and off without the foot on the brake ?
Damn it, I think I better take it to the dealer.
isn't the fuel pump?
I think it is diesel. Gasoline has no turbo.
What a bloody palaver. 🙄
I removed the scuttle much easier.
Is it diesel or gas type ix35?
