    When you deliberately miswired the subtractor to see if it made negative numbers, it actually does (as I discovered yesterday when I didn't pay attention to the input ordering 🤦‍♂️). You got zero because the subtractor had a small backlog of 30s in both inputs.

    Thanks for the introduction to another simple factory game.
    A couple of useful things to know when deleting. If you hold down shift whilst deleting allows you to delete lines of items. Whilst holding down control and shift allows you delete an area.

    Just one note: Instead of 48 = (3+3)×(4+4), you could do 48 = 3×4×4, saving a bit of input resource. Though I'm not sure where long-term the bottle-neck would be - extractors or more the space for actually building factories.

      Well for saving space on the building factories, with the neat arrays she's doing it looks like you could easily save a tile or two between rows of machines by using a "direct insertion" style for the input that's an output from the previous row of machines instead of collecting it all onto one belt, making a U-turn, and then redistributing it. Just go straight from output to input, with one crossing belt bringing in the other input.

      bottleneck is obviously clicking, so the less processing needed, the better.

    14:00 Another issue: The game doesn't "remember" what you feed your "base" if it's not a number it needs. I tried this on my second run, to have things unlocked quicker, but the game went "nope, not gonna let you skip ahead."
    So those accidental numbers you make are pointless either way.
    Fortunately, storage units will "accept" all numbers but only keep the number it was fed first. So they can function like trashcans at times.

    35:15 Kind of a meta-"order of operations" thing, but with belts instead of maths?
    I was thinking of 16 x 3 to get to 48, which you could do with just 3 operations as you have 4s available. I never thought about how many of the single digit numbers are either prime or a power of a prime; multiplication is king!

      4 x 4 x 3. That would be two operations if trying to optimize production.
      I've had many instances of "wait why am I doing this in five steps when I could be doing it in three?" so I know it's a thing that happens a lot.

    Just future-planning idea: Would it be smart to always build locked items on their cells? For example, you need to add 2+3 to get 5, since 5 isn't unlocked. If you build the addition on top of the (locked) 5's, then when the 5's do get unlocked, you can delete the 2's/3's and extract directly from the 5s?

    Not sure if you figured this out later, but just like Factorio, multi-threaded belts and "crafters" on both sides of them can make processes much faster. Hard to explain without visual aid, but for the easiest operarions, I use three belts of the same number running side by side, and adders/multipliers on both sides of them. I even "braid" the belts if they backlog.
    I also try not to use the substractor. It kills symmetry. There should be a mirrored one, if making it flippable is too much to ask of this dev.

      It really should just be unlocked from the beginning. They could replace the upgrade with a 3-input machine or something

    Blueprinting, that thing all good factory games have (or get modded in, if the devs are too dense to do QoL right,) this one decided to have both relatively far down the line, and also not have a way to manage blueprints easily.
    It's like if an RPG needed your character to be level twenty before you could drink potions, and you had no actual inventory screen/tab, so you had to scroll through all your potions (starting from the last one you bought) to get to the potion you want at the time.
    The gane is awesome, but this dev seems to think "QoL" is an old, outdated programming language. ;)
    Heck, unless I missed it somewhere, there's no way to delete "saved" blueprints. That's silly.

    Im sorry, i have noticed this for the last few videos, the sound has being very quiet in the videos even though i have turned up my volume to almost max to hear what is said in the videos. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

    Do you know what thought came to my mind? Just imagine if we had machines that made adders and multipliers, let's call them higher order functions... no bad programming language would come out 😄

    don't do that,
    just mining the 5 number,
    that use 5 plus or multiple or decrease method for make a group near the target number,
    at last just decrease or plus 1-4 number
