I miss him. He was hilarious. Rest in Peace John.
rip 🙏
Ya I miss Big John too !
I LOVE JOHN SO MUCH…RIP JOHN!!!
And a good actor and Broadway star.
@@wstavis3135
I was surprised, and pleased, to see him in The Punisher.
Especially when he started singing opera with the record player.
John was one of the best. Clean jokes by the standards of the time, no agenda, no politics, no real anger. It was a good day when you turned on the TV in time to catch one of his shows.
Only anger at waiters who bring him salads :)
@@JGComments I'll wait here food is coming.
@@warrenphillips69 salad is what comes *before* the food!
What do you mean no real anger? Have you ever tasted gluten free food?
Yes...He was one of the last good comedians
One of the greatest, and most underrated comedians of his time.
Every special was a riot.
He is great and speaks to us as if we were all long-time friends.
What was his rating?
@@jamesmcinnis208 not sure he was before Netflix, all his specials were on HBO, one or two might have been on comedy central.
But every one was a riot. Guy was under talented. actually took a break from standup to do a musical on Broadway.
@@tric5122 I don't know what "under talented" is either, but I do understand that you like him.
@@jamesmcinnis208 it was to early in the morning to respond apparently, want under rated.
Besides being such a funny and talented comedian, the reason I loved John was you can tell he genuinely LOVED his fans. He loved to make people laugh.
This goofy ah video made u laugh?
Yes its called comedy
Couple at one of his shows in pgh.asked us if he was funny i had seen him before told her he was piss your pants funny ( she did )
Splinter turtles
@@johnhall5478 yeah by most standards it was pretty funny
My wife and I absolutely *LOVED* John Pinette. I was going to buy us tickets to a show the next time he came near our place. Then sadly, he passed. This man was treasure. RIP John. May you make all buffets in Heaven go out of business lol
I saw the date of the clip, his weight, then looked up his bio.....dead as expected.
He was like a fat nonjew Seinfeld
🙏❤️😂
@@stellalunastarvetthat’s a massive compliment 😊
His scowl was a part of his act; his smile was genuine.
The delivery, the timing- John was a true talent. Rest In Peace ♥️
I discovered this guy after he was gone. I felt so bad - I missed such a great talent. He’s so funny. I look forward to meeting him on the other side.
Lots of John Stuff on Internet. Definitely worth the search.
Too bad John didn't discover the joys of hiking. He might still be here to make you laugh.
@@eldoabrahamson Come on, that wasn’t necessary. And by the way, his weight had directly nothing to do with the death cause. Obesity is one of many risk factors for pulmonary embolism but it isn’t like it’s a certain cause.
I discovered Mitch Hedberg after he'd already passed. Our lives are a little bit sadder for not knowing of them before they were gone. 😢
Me too. I feel you mate
To this day I still hear John yelling "YOU BEEN HERE FOUR HOURA!!!!" every time I walk into a Chinese buffet.
RIP, funny man.
Omg, I say that all the time! I forgot he was the source
In England the police can actually arrest you for making that Chinese buffet joke--it is considered hostile racism to talk in other accents in humor----no lie--look it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"You scare my wife!"
@@chadhaire1711 I'd have a hard time trying to explain how that is hostile or racist. What a disappointing world.
@@jerotoro2021 Like I said---doing this comedy in England can get you arrested.....I had to look up the laws to believe it.
Brit here, been watching Stand-ups for over 35 years, just discovered John Pinette.. - fantastic!!😂😂😂👏👏👏
I was truly blessed to get to see him live, and i nearly cried the entire time... only time I ever heard him drop the F bomb. He also passed away on my birthday, but instead of being sad, I watch a couple of his clips every birthday.
Lucille Ball passed away on my birthday, but Carol Burnett was born the same day April 26th! Two really funny red heads. John was soooo hilarious. Great memory yo got to see him live!
Actually he did drop the f bomb before but he's not a blue comic in general
@@randymoran67 yeah I had just never heard him say it on any of his TV specials. He was an incredibly clean comic and made it work really well.
@@codyaucoin3412 A trip I planned with friends got cancelled one year around Easter. I decided to find where he was playing. I ended up in a club in Des Moines. Had never been there before or since. Funniest man ever. I really miss him too.
❤️
His smile was contagious! RIP John
He was just as friendly in real life too. Booked him on a few shows and met him each time. A gracious man who seemed to enjoy life.
He's right, I went hiking with some friends and all they did for miles was stare at the ground in front of them so they could hike fast. We got to our destination, then immediately turned around and went back the same way staring at the ground and hiking quickly. This was in beautiful mountain scenery. I haven't gone with them again.
😂😂😂 what a waste of a hike. Stop and enjoy the view. Literally.
John helped me through many battles of depression, And helped me get into comedy as a whole. I never knew him personally, but god do I miss him
Same here. I was going thru a horrible time back in 2007 and the only thing that got me thru it was listening to John's comedy. I cried so hard when he died.
@@monikag1323 Damn! My Condolences, Man.
I am glad you are still here

he misses the buffet

He epitomized clean comedy. Rarely ever swore or was vulgar.
Fun without the filth.
@@paulleckner8235 Exactly....I've always felt comedians who were overly vulgar were compensating for their lack of talent.
Neither did Bill Cosby ....

Whoop Whoop!!!
John Pinette was a great comedian. Everything he said was hilarious, and he was never vulgar. I still watch his chinese, japanese and indian buffets bits and laugh. It’s still hilarious when he imitates the restaurant owners. RIP John Pinette.
I love this man so much. Such a pity he's no longer here.
One of the best standup comics to ever take the stage. RIP, big guy
I was so happy to see him perform live. He was non-stop hysterical.
How could you NOT just LOVE this guy?
He could make any audience his with ease, and was such a kind and funny soul.
Beautiful singing voice, too.
A great man and comedian. He is truly missed. RIP John.
he shoulda been waaaaaay more famous.
Noone did it like John. Flawless execution every time
every time i watch John he brings me to complete convulsing tears of hysterical laughter. even bits I've seen before a dozen times. RIP John
One of the funniest standup guys ever. Laughed until I couldn't breathe, the Italian Restaurant story. Killer. Miss him!
My Favorite!!!
Full circle jokes are always great when they're unexpected
So true
I'm glad I'm not the only one keeping Big John in their hearts and memories; all of a sudden, I just sat down and opened a beer after work, and he popped into my head, LOL, and that's perfect I needed a good gaggle!
We miss you, John. The world could use you right now. Thanks for the memories. Never forget Midsummer's at Malden Catholic. Hope you found your peace. Much love buddy. Best Brother Dan impression ever.
He was a great comedian and very much missed. RIP John Pinette.
I miss him. He was brilliant and so sweet.
I have always love John Pinette's comedy. It is a great loss to the world of comedy that we no longer have him. I watch and re-watch his shows on RUclips.
Well, it wasn't a great loss to the world of comedy. Maybe a great loss to the world of Dunkin Donuts.
What a legend John was. He had such a unique style that worked so well. Definitely miss him.
We always quote his jokes. He gave the world a lot of laughs. He is missed. Gone too soon.
I met him in LA once. Such a wonderful humble guy. Love his stand up. He’s missed!
That's very cool to hear. I wish I could have met him. Never saw him live either but he was a favorite of mine since I was a kid in the 80s seeing him on TV.
RIP, John. Still repeatedly watch your clips, end up crying in laughter. 😂😂😂 Such talent...very much missed.
A brilliant comedian gone before his time RIP.

His comedy is timeless! Always hilarious! Miss him!
RIP John , what a hilarious guy he was
Poor guy must've gone for a walk in a wheat field.
@@Alr1ghtyThen oh look ,,, a failed comedian
He will always be missed.
@@amshg21 oh look someone without a sense of humor. Ironic considering you admire comedians
He sucked, just self deprecating jokes and nothing else. 🤐
"If 1kg of weight makes a difference in this bag, going on that plane, I'm not going on that plane...." This had tears running down my face 🤣
A very distinguishing factors that is noticeable is that he is really funny with little to no curse words. I don't have a problem with them and I use them too but never thought someone could be so funny without them!
Stumbled onto his "Chinese buffet bit" one late night on tv and never laughed so hard. The rest is history!
"You been here one houwa, you go home now!" Probably his most famous line from a joke.
"You Go now"😂😂😂😂😂😂
Naw its "ravioli and a nap"!
It's really sad he passed away just 4 years after this. It's no consolation, but I do believe he had a really fun life.
Whenever our grown kids come home for the holidays we watch a video of his that we DVR'd way back in the day, and just laugh till we cry! He is loved and missed by so many. RIP, John.
He never ceases to make laugh so hard I cry! Love it!
R.I.P. John Pinette
You remain to this day, my favorite comedian of all time
I love this guy I always cry laughing and then really cry when I know hes no longer with us.
Rest in peace, John. You brought nothing but happiness to this world!
His delivery was always perfect.
The “have you tried gluten-free stuff? IT NEEDS GLUTEN” killed me. I had a room mate with celiac disease and can attest that gluten-free alternatives are terrible 😂
I always liked his boyish smile and his great comedic timing!
One of my favorite comedians. I’ve seen him twice in concert. Always made me laugh til I cried. Plus he could pull it off so brilliantly without using foul language. I was really sad when I read about his passing in People magazine. Kind of a cheap shot when they did just a little mention of his passing rather than a cover story on this award winning comedian.
I miss him, RIP John Pinette, you are surely missed down here, we need some good laughter right now! You are surely making heaven a brighter place with all of the laughter your causing!
my dad went to highschool with Pinette apparently, and honestly I'm glad I found out about him before he passed, even saw him live
Can you imagine trying to teach English in a room with John?
John was definitely one of a kind. It's really something how audiences warm up to him with his feigned innocence alternating with seething rage at the absurdity of life. How ironic that he died after losing about 100 lbs.
Stress an shock
When you weigh 400 pounds and take off 100 pounds not going to make a difference. The stress on the heart damage is already done. i'm overweight and should learn that being overweight is not going to increase my life span. It seem's that men who are obese die younger then obese woman.
@@sadiestoltzfus9798 "men who are obese die younger then obese woman." Yup. Why do men die earlier than their wives?
Because they want to.
He died of "natural causes" which probably means just wear and tear from a life of obesity. Pick up 40 gallons of milk and log them around for 30 years.
His organs would've still be trying to recover from years of the extra workload.. definitely pays to stay ahead of chronic health problems.
Why don’t I know this brilliant, adorable, funny young man? I don’t recall hearing of him and he’s gone! Didn’t take long to recognize a TRUE talent/gift!!
Every time he makes that family in Ottawa ice skating joke I can imagine him knocking into them like a bowling ball and the family (pins) flying different directions. 🤣
That's so much
I like how he stops telling the story and lets you fill in what happens next.
I can't think about Pheonix, AZ without thinking of this man and his Dairy Queen bit. So good.
I am always yelling “get outta the line” while driving down the interstate, standing in checkout lines, etc. Lololol Man, I love him!!! He is so missed!!!!
Skating? Should have said Nay-Nay. I love how his whole bit wraps around and finishes off the first joke. Genius.
My friend and I had tickets to see his show just a couple of months after he died. It was very disappointing that we never got the chance to see him live. One of the best. I am really glad he will have such a legacy here.
Every so often he would be on an NYC radio station's morning show (Z100). Those mornings I was ABSOLUTELY late to work, you better believe it!
RIP Mr John. I say Nay Nay!
Can easily listen to John's awesome comedy all day!!! RIP
Fantastic. That was about the most solid 12 minutes I've ever seen. What a talent.
He could have played the part of Ralph Kramden if it was brought to the stage or screen brilliantly, another gifted comedian who left the stage too soon.
Absolutely one of the best! He is missed.
A favorite of mine since I was a little kid in the 80s. Was very sad when he passed on. Thanks for ALL THE LAUGHTER John ❤ I'll be quoting your Chinese Buffet routine until I die.
I'm super thankful for YT because of all the old school comedy/comedians!!! I'm 42 and I get access to all this funny, wild stuff!!! Still waiting for the Paula Poundstone Tribute

I had such the privilege of catching one of his performances in Columbus Ohio. The world needs this man, gone toooo soon. RIP John you are missed!
I worked in a 4 person department in South Africa. John brought productivity to a stand still that day back in 2012. We were laughing so hard people were coming in to check on us.
His humor made my childhood great. RIP John
Such a funny guy. RIP.
Saw John live a few times - always hysterical and accomodating after the set. Miss him!
God bless him. He was and always will be one of the funniest guys in comedy.
This is probably how Eric Cartman would have been if he’d grown up
Eric is a horrible human being and is not funny, only thing they have in common is obesity.
No, he’d be a rabbi or homeless. We know this
if he was a comedian, he would tell the most ruthless shit you could only possibly imagine.
@@derhinz0746right , he'll be saying that he had a kid eat his own parents and a lot of people would think it's just a joke and laugh about it not knowing he really did it lol
May John Pinette Rest eternally in Peace.
Beautiful ending. Full circle. Whole thing is about a damn toaster warranty. That must be so fun.
He is one of the funniest comedians ever! I wish he and Ralphie May were still around 😪
