My mother's favorite comedian! I have so many memories of my mother recounting Pinette's bits. Often she'd simply shriek "I SAID NAY NAY!" in a conversation. She's a very quiet and smooth-speaking woman, very opposed to cursing or insults. I think she really appreciated his ability to shriek and holler without being crude or upsetting. He never failed to put a smile on our faces.

Jon Pinette died on April 5, 2014, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 50. Pinette's personal doctor signed off on his cause of death as pulmonary embolism. Although some say it was wheat and anything that had gluten which was EVERYTHING even tho his blood work was GOOD and blood pressure was 112 over 70. He often snow skied with friends and was often seen flying into car parks having slid down waterpark slides shooting off the end high in the sky like Fwee Willy. Mostly he exercised regularly at Vegas buffets.
When he pulled a fast joke on the crowd and they were laughing away, a little boy smile would flash across his face and that is when I really laughed. That little boy smile, as if to say, Mom, I made them laugh. Bless him Lord because he sure was a blessing to us.

This is so important for me to say. .. John I adore you!! Losing my father 2 years ago and I have been taking care of my mom who has dementia. The last couple years have been really tough and getting worse because I have no help and I’m here seven days a week 24 hours a day . You came into my life again and now every morning with my coffee, I watch you.! You make me laugh and make me forget about my depression. God bless you ,I love you and you look fab. ❤ Never stop John , keep it up . Trust me, I’m not the only one who spirits you lift 🙏
I am so sorry for the unrelenting aspect of your life with poor Mom. Bless your heart. The cheer this man brings is so good. Who knows how long his blood pressure would've stayed good if he had just left well enough alone. This weight looked good. He looked sad and too thin before his passing.
God bless you. I went thru the same thing with my mother and every day I would do it again just to have her back. It was so hard and I do know what you're going thru. The hardest part is how hard it is for them. My Mom used to cry every time the phone rang because she couldn't remember how to answer it or hang up. It made me cry. I would explain it to her every time, some times as many as 6 times a day. And of course the grandkids and great grandkids don't think to visit after all they tell themselves she won't even remember if I was there or not. But they have times where they do remember and you feel their pain. And then they're gone. And you find all the presents for all the kids that never came, and you didn't even know they were there. Theyve been there a long time and the kids are all grown up now and all you can do is hold them , feel their pain and cry. The worse is my mom got really bad during the pandemic and no matter how I tried to explain it she just didn't understand why she couldn't go anywhere. She thought it just didn't want her to go anywhere. And to make it worse she lost her sight. She used to love to paint so she lost that too. God I miss her. I know it's hard but when they're gone and you no longer have them with you, it's even harder. When it gets bad just remind yourself how hard it is for them. Then give them a smile and a hug, and thank God for every minute you have left with them. ❤️❤️
I just wanted to say I had no help either. It was just me 24/7 7 days a week. I have 2 brothers but they never once helped unless it was to help themselves to her things, most times without even asking. They haven't spoken to me since she passed. Even had her take out a reverse. Mortgage they never repair just so they would take the house I've lived in for 50 years and helped her pay off so I'd be homeless. So besides having to leave my home it's just as hard to go thru her things. I miss her so much. I lost my dad in 89. So it's just me, my dog and my cat. Wonder if I can find a cardboard box big enough for the 3 of us 🤔
@@teresasimmons8215 wow I’m so sorry to hear this😢. Sounds so similar, with the exception, thank God that I have a friend taking care of my home. I’m 34, when I was in my teens John and Lewis black were my favorite comedians, this popped up today and I got to share it with my daughter and she seems to love him as much as I do! He’s the reason I always make sure to get quality toilet paper😂
My favorite. Funny and never made fun at the expense of others... just a great funny person. I had the fortune of seeing him in person. He was hilarious and had the audience in tears.
My one regret in life is I'll never get to see him in person. I've watched his comedy so many times and I still laugh out loud. I'll keep the love of food and comedy alive for you, John! Rest in peace
"Now life is precious and we have to make the most of it" Man, foretelling words from the funniest big guy ever. I really hope he did make the most out of his short life.
Love this guy. I grew up in this era of comedians. It was a day when there was no such thing as people getting offended. It was a better day to live in America 🇺🇸
Not to call ya out direct, but what a load of bs. People been offended by shit other say since we left the trees and said something. George Carlin had his 7 words, now they got different ones is all.
Yep I miss him a very rare quality this day and time. He was just as cool and as funny as he wanted to be he wanted all the above.and it seemed to work very well for him
Heard him many years ago on an XM satellite comedy channel. Pretty much immediately became my favorite comic. Was truly saddened when he passed away at such a young age. RIP John, Godspeed!
When you go to buffets and stand in line, do you ever hear yourself thinking of the lines JP would be saying? Have you ever actually seen some people standing around possibly blocking the line from moving while they’re looking at the tables of food, then suddenly hear yourself saying, “Get Out Of The Way” 😁
There is the odd one, but you're right he was never offensive. I discovered his shows after he passed away. I saw clips from Just for Laughs, but had no idea he had longer specials. This is great stuff. We lost another great one too soon.
He only cussed in one bit that I saw. But it was hilarious anyway. Especially in context of being a big boy. If you wanna hear it look up John Pinette meat recall!
How is it possible that I am sixty two and just found out about him? No network tv shows? clean act had me rolling! and he's gone! not fair! life sucks!
Me too. I just discovered him about eight months ago and have watched every RUclips video I could find. I have never laughed so hard. And I just watched the series finale of Seinfeld and lo and behold John was the person that the four of them refused to help in the final episode. I think he was hysterical and I wish he was still around to make more videos. So sad that he died young.
Have you been constantly researching comedians? Or do you look them up on RUclips every six years or so? There are a lot of them out there, you know. And of course life is unfair. I hope you didn't come to that realization when you typed your message.
@@pauljordan4452 at the very least, we can be happy that he did what he loved and made others lives a little bit better by doing so, regardless of what killed him.

John Pinette moved right up the comedy ladder in Boston to headliner status in the 80s straight away, to the envy of open-mikers like me who did it for for years without getting a break. There was a distinct comedy hierarchy and most couldn't just walk into having a show like that. Louis C.K. was another fast riser there.
God personally had to lift him up there cause there ain't an angel in heaven able to lift him up without laughing like a complete maniac, and even then God was probably making jokes with him
I had never heard of this man before! Aside from being shocked to the core for NOW finally seeing this brilliant talent, am SAD to hear he's passed!!!!!!! After reading a lot of these comments, JOHN PINETTE moved a tremendous lot of you!!!! HE is the real deal for giving the audience a clean and devastating jolt of comedy beyond anything my 66 years has witnessed. Clean, relevant, relatable, and the expressions, John could give Jonathan Winters a good run. Excuse me now, as I am ready to watch another of his performances!!
Ekkaisara That's what so cool about him. Skelton had it, Flip had it and some others who I can remember. He and the others gave us joy and they were fulfilled by the joy of our laughter.
+Ricky Knapp Pinette- I would like to inform you all that I did in fact make it to heaven. Some nice angels were kind enough to guide me... But there were stairs.... not an escalator, stairs, so I said ney ney and they had to help carry me. The angels weren't so nice anymore. They have a union now.
+Lasus Naturae Why do atheists always feel the need to interject themselves into every conversation involving religion? If you don't believe that's fine, but shut the hell up about it already.
Joe Snow Because according to their religion, the two nothings in the big, infinite nothing met and exploded and created everything. And that's believable. :D
! I just sprayed my drink of tea all over the inside of my windshield my steering wheel and the front of my shirt listening to this! Sad part is I've heard it before😅
"Raviolis And A Nap!", "Raviolis And A Nap"! Haha that line never gets old from John Pinette, also the water slide story and the "GET OUT OF THE LINE!" RIP John.
I was tired and a bit down. I NEEDED to laugh. So I Googled some jokes....nothing. Then I tried several DryBar comics.....not even a smile. Then I remembered my binge watching him 3 years ago. one of the greatest comedians in my opinion R.I.P. John
He was great, still my favorite comedian, not just a comedian but an a actor and great singer
@@Starborn3000 I'm torn about favorite because I have a couple or so that I really like, but yes sir, to him being a great actor and singer. I do approve your message, lol, lol.
@@vinyltapelover Agree. John, George Carlin, Red Skelton, Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks, Steve Wright, Mitch Hedberg and several others. He was one of a selected few...Dearly missed!
Mr. Jarod sir yes I completely concur with what you said Jon is an amazing man we love him so much he always makes us laugh laughter is a good thing thank you
He’s still alive tho...
In our stomach’s heart
Just discovered this guy two days ago and now I can't have enough of him, I'm just sorry he's gone😢
Never stop John , keep it up .
It’s one thing I knew not to do was sell my house because once something happens here I would be really screwed..
I’ll pray for you and your fur babies that you find a place to stay. 🙏🙏
@@jewlz1960 Thank you. That's very kind of you. I know we all have our own trials right now. Your prayers on our behalf are greatly appreciated.❤️❤️
How did I only find this guy, NOW?
Hysterical! 😅🤣😂🤣😅
RIP JOHN 🙏. You will never be forgotten 🙏. If I'm having a crappie day I watch one of his videos. And now you are in heaven making the angels 😇 laugh their butts off. 🙏.
I simply want to cry at the end of every excellent performance John does. I didn't know you John, but I love you man... and I love your comedy. R.I.P.
Just found him and listening he does swear doesn't get sex all involved he is just funny
"Life is precious, and we have to make the most of it. And I don't have time for useless things."
excellent quote. RIP
Lynohue😮😢
I’m 34, when I was in my teens John and Lewis black were my favorite comedians, this popped up today and I got to share it with my daughter and she seems to love him as much as I do! He’s the reason I always make sure to get quality toilet paper😂
Sir, you are a Comic genius, love ALL your performances!! Rest in PEACE the world misses you!!
I’m 60 years old and never heard of this guy and he’s funny as hell
John was an original and sorely missed.
I still can't believe he's gone. Never got a chance to see him. One of my all time favorites.
My favorite. Funny and never made fun at the expense of others... just a great funny person. I had the fortune of seeing him in person. He was hilarious and had the audience in tears.
I like the Chinese buffet
You are lucky
One of the things I love about him - he was funny without cruelty.
Except the Amish.
Get OUTTA THE LINE!
08/24/2023: Every time I listen to John Pinette it's a riot. Thanks John!
Bro dated his comment like a High School Language Arts essay 😂
My one regret in life is I'll never get to see him in person. I've watched his comedy so many times and I still laugh out loud. I'll keep the love of food and comedy alive for you, John! Rest in peace
Its rare form to get an audience of people to laugh and applaud with facial expressions alone. I miss this guy. :(
Wow... that Brando impression! That was incredible! 🤯😍
The Punisher film from 2004 made me like him and i have ever since.
I cried when I learned he died. Such a sweet talented man.
Awe I just found his comedy
Me, too. He was one of the best.
"Now life is precious and we have to make the most of it"
Man, foretelling words from the funniest big guy ever. I really hope he did make the most out of his short life.
Of course he did, at all-you-can-buffets
R.I.P. John.. i alway related to you. You told like it is
Love this guy.
OMGOSH ... when the lady in the audience whipped out a “Bed Bath & Beyond” coupon! John’s genuine laugh & smile was soo adorable!
Still watching in 2019, he is one of the funniest comedians I have had the pleasure of watching! his legacy lives on💛💚💛
2021
2022😎
2022. But I've seen this skit multiple times
Also in 2022. He was great.
2023
I will always love him. Can't wait to see him in Heaven
Oh man, how much do I miss this wonderfully funny guy. One of my all time favourite comedians.
...I love the bit about whacking his driver when headed to a show cause he wanted DAIRY QUEEN!!! 😂😂😂
One of my favorites, too! Sadly missed
R Marsden “You get to have a shake, I think it says that in the Weight Watchers manual” 😂😂 John was one of the best. Case dismissed 😂😂😂
Yep I miss him a very rare quality this day and time. He was just as cool and as funny as he wanted to be he wanted all the above.and it seemed to work very well for him
John Pinette was born to do comedy. He is one of the all time greats.
Great observational comedy. Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc...
Heard him many years ago on an XM satellite comedy channel. Pretty much immediately became my favorite comic. Was truly saddened when he passed away at such a young age. RIP John, Godspeed!
John Pinette must have them rolling in Heaven. He was hilarious, absolutely gifted.
No calories in heaven.
Ive watched "I'm Still Hungry" a dozen times, and I still find my self laughing. He's the Best.
When you go to buffets and stand in line, do you ever hear yourself thinking of the lines JP would be saying? Have you ever actually seen some people standing around possibly blocking the line from moving while they’re looking at the tables of food, then suddenly hear yourself saying, “Get Out Of The Way” 😁
Me too he's hysterical
He only beats himself. Laugh at yourself. John is the best
I loved this guy... He proved that cussing isnt necessary to be a great comedian.
agree agree agree.
He did cuss in his earlier version but I think he was testing out the market but I don't think he wanted to anyhow
Patricia Harold He has made light racist jokes but meh
How is it possible that I am sixty two and just found out about him? No network tv shows? clean act had me rolling! and he's gone! not fair! life sucks!
gone way to soon = sad
You have to see his other stand-ups. But you can't find everything like last time. "I'm Starving" -> This one is the best of all. Trust me.
Have you been constantly researching comedians? Or do you look them up on RUclips every six years or so? There are a lot of them out there, you know. And of course life is unfair. I hope you didn't come to that realization when you typed your message.
I've seen many of his videos multiple times and still laugh every time. It's very sad he's gone, but he left us a great legacy of laughter.
What an absolute treasure. John Pinette, you’ve helped me get through my divorce.
What a wonderful man. I wish that we never had to lose people like John. Rest In Paradise John.❤
It was obvious why the poor bastard died. He could have had a longer career. R.I.P.
@@pauljordan4452 at the very least, we can be happy that he did what he loved and made others lives a little bit better by doing so, regardless of what killed him.
I never sit here and watch 40 minutes of comedy but this guy was too funny to turn off.
...And Jam Tracks For All I watch , rewatch andrewatch again and its always funny .
I went to a comedy club once in Tampa, FL & i got to see him live & he performed for over an hour & he was hilarious
same here
...And Jam Tracks For All I know what you mean. I never watch 40 mins of comedy normally. This guy is the exception just too good turn off I bet heaven is rolling in the aisles with him there. R I P John
Michael Naisbitt R.I.P. One of the funniest ever
He's a real deal.never offensive jokes.Hes super hilarious .
Absolutely the BEST comedien EVER, got to see him here in Halifax a few years ago and he 8 of us laughed hard for 3 hours After the show was over. Amazing talent, R I P John
He was hilarious it's too bad there weren't more comedians like him. For sure he was one of a kind though.
Mitch Hedberg was a one of a kind without all the cussing, politics, and filth. Why do the good ones need to go?
Ralphie May tried.
A fondest memory of John on his 60th birthday (3/23/2024)
An angel and a Healer.
God sends us a few.
All we can do is enjoy and appreciate and love them,
While they are with us.
John Pinette 3 /64 - 4 /14
What a blessing on earth for the time he was with us.
GOD BLESS COMEDIANS ESPECIALLY THOSE LIKE JOHN AND RITA ABLE TO LAUGH AT THEMSELVES AND TAKE US WITH THEM. God has truly blessed them and they’re willing to share. Laughter the great healer.
The world need more of this guy. The world might be a better place to live for all of us.
John Pinette is probably one the funniest man to ever live if not hes for sure a hall of famer
He was soooo funny...
It doesn't matter how many times I watch him....i cry laughing.....they must be laughing in heaven
I've seen all the shows on youtube. I've watched them over and over. Never tire of them. He was amazing.
Abso-freakin-lutely!
God personally had to lift him up there cause there ain't an angel in heaven able to lift him up without laughing like a complete maniac, and even then God was probably making jokes with him
I’m sure the angels carried him to heaven!
I’m 73 and just discovered him last week I wish I could of seen him live
He never got bitter or foul like many that went before him. Thank you John.....for staying human.
I saw him 4 or 5 times and met him several times. He was really an amazingly funny man. He was incredible.
One of the greatest losses to the comedic world when this man died.
RIP John Pinette.
I love this man’s facial expressions.
Where is this guy been my whole life
I love the joy on his face when he listens to them laugh
Ekkaisara That's what so cool about him. Skelton had it, Flip had it and some others who I can remember. He and the others gave us joy and they were fulfilled by the joy of our laughter.
...he DID give us that moment to enjoy his act with him!!! BLESS HIIS HEART!!! 😁😊😎
his face @29:55💯🤣💀there should be stupid hiker law 😂
I miss John Pinette, but we can share him here.
He died on my Birthday. It was a sad day for the Comedy world.
this dude was awesome rip brother hope the angels managed to get you up there
+Ricky Knapp Pinette- I would like to inform you all that I did in fact make it to heaven. Some nice angels were kind enough to guide me... But there were stairs.... not an escalator, stairs, so I said ney ney and they had to help carry me. The angels weren't so nice anymore. They have a union now.
+Ricky Knapp but heaven doesn't exist though
+Lasus Naturae Why do atheists always feel the need to interject themselves into every conversation involving religion? If you don't believe that's fine, but shut the hell up about it already.
+Joe Snow who knows. .... they are the new jahova witness :)
Joe Snow
Because according to their religion, the two nothings in the big, infinite nothing met and exploded and created everything. And that's believable. :D
No matter how many times I've seen this video the jokes are still funny and the stories never get old. RIP John, we miss you.
! I just sprayed my drink of tea all over the inside of my windshield my steering wheel and the front of my shirt listening to this! Sad part is I've heard it before😅
"You know what has gluten in it? EVERYTHING! EVERY REASON TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!"
I felt that. And it's true lol.
"Raviolis And A Nap!", "Raviolis And A Nap"! Haha that line never gets old from John Pinette, also the water slide story and the "GET OUT OF THE LINE!" RIP John.
Same here.😄
Wish he was still with us.
If I am ever having bad day, watching John just makes it ok.
mlsaulnier yup, same here
Jokes that never get old
I was tired and a bit down. I NEEDED to laugh. So I Googled some jokes....nothing.
Then I tried several DryBar comics.....not even a smile.
Then I remembered my binge watching him 3 years ago.
Finally the laughter and appreciation of his talent have made me happy. Impressions, voices and dialects and funny physicality....so much to love.
Crying now but satisfied. 😊
