"It might be pretty simple, nothing too unique; but I think it simply works, which should be what all art should strive for." Couldn't agree more. Simple and beautiful work.
Sorry I haven't commented on this earlier, very beautiful music! Your music as of late really shows how highly developed your senses of harmony and melody have become over the years. Thank you for posting, and happy birthday!
That was wonderful Ivan... relaxing and touching. Not your most complex work but definetely one I will come back to often to listen to it! What a great composer you are...
Ivan, I'm putting together a set of programs for the University of Oklahoma's New Century Ensemble for the coming year, and I wonder if you'd like a performance of this piece by some OU musicians. I believe I could get it into the hands of a very fine clarinetist & pianist. I think it might be a good fit for our first program, tentatively scheduled for Sunday, October 1. Let me know what you think.
That would be an absolute honour! Thank you so much for the offer David, I would love seeing my music being performed in another country. I could send you the score tomorrow if you want. It is cool that this piece can be performed with little effort due to it being quite easy. Also some of my friends will compose a piece for clarinet and piano too and make a little collab. I'm sure the result will be really interesting.

Cheers man. 🙏🏻
I love this so much. It strives of its simplicity. So much charm!
Yes, I tried to make it very very simple and still avoid monotony.
@@Ivan_1791 You definitely achieved that, and so much more!
By the way, if you see my last community post you will see it will get the premiere tomorrow in Oklahoma. ^^
I always considered clarinet an underrated instrument. Thank you for showing that it can take the lead and make a great composition!
For sure!

Thank you dude! Glad to hear you think so, I tried to come up with something as music as possible. Hopefully I can compose something this month.
This is so relaxing 🥲
Thanks. ^^
WOW!

@@Ivan_1791 The score would be great, and I'll prepare to make the appropriate assignments. Do you still have my OU email address?
@@David_Goza Okay. Yes, I still have it.
Love it - So lyrical and expressive! Have you ever written for sax?
Thank you! No, but I would like to try doing so this summer, even if it is a couple of prelude-like short pieces.
@@Ivan_1791 - I will keep an eye out! 🎷
@@SaxVentures Perfect! I appreciate the interest.
Whether simple or complex, this work is for sure a beauty of simplicity. Sad the piano is a little bit out of tune! Thx for sharing Ivan!
Henry
The beauty of simplicity.
