Reading 2000 by far my best and most memorable festival. I was only 18 and i liked about 75% of the bands and spent all day at the stages, and the bar ofc :) Now days i go to a festival and only wanna see about 5 or 6 bands and the crowds are shite.
it's all about about enjoying it i think, i've attended my first music festival in 2009 and until 2012 those were the parties of my live, something is not the same anymore. have to enjoy as much as we can i guess ;)

No phones, the crowds were amazing, you could crowd surf, people rolling spliffs everywhere you looked, noone gave a shit what they looked lik or what they did. I remember jumping up and down in unison with what felt like the entire festival for RATM. Even Limp Bizkit had a massive crowd surges. I met a girl there who was into me then and I didnt even realise until afterwards, please take me back....
I love deftones music and see them live it's one memorable moment in life!getting stoned,be with friends jumping around listening to the deftones aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
Hot damn, can't believe I was twelve when this was recorded! I feel like I've missed so much. I'm glad music is timeless and I thank those guys for having the idea one day, to start a band. And I'm glad they wrote that fucking great song. Always makes me high. And seeing the crowd just gives me the chills. God, this is so good.
the more i listen to this outstanding band the more i experience its genius its unbelievable how there can be so much emotion and power at the same time leaves me breathless every fucking time.

One of my favorite songs and performances ever. Out of all the artists I listen to, whether it be rock, jazz, black metal, death metal, thrash, ska, punk, hardcore, blues, etc. Not many can even hold a candle to the pure awesomeness and sheer emotion of the deftones.

I took a disposable camera to this gig. I crowd surfed to get to as close to the stage as possible. The security guard let me take a picture of chino standing on the speaker whilst he was singing. It’s a brilliant picture! I remember Chino getting annoyed cos somebody threw mud at him.
I can't fucking agree with you enough. I was lucky enough to see them play at reading festival last year (one of the biggest festivals in uk) and the crowd was fucking stationary man..

Just found the poster for Reading/Leeds 2000. They were on after Idlewild and before Elastica, on a stage headlined by Pulp. The other headliners that weekend were Oasis (on the day Limp Bizkit played) and Stereophonics (on the day Rage, Slipknot and Eminem played). Can festivals go back to being a big mixed bag like that?
From what i've read it's from the European "White Pony" Tour, and I believe they're at Edinburgh, SCO Edinburgh Corn Exchange
