Boxcar8008 he's an unconventional singer. He's never had good technique, he just does it his way. Consequently he's not always consistent. That being said, he crushed it when I saw them a couple summers ago. Perfect set that night!
I think chinos always pushing himself to give the best performance and blows his voice out, however that almost matches his normal way of singing it's pretty genius that he's always had a kind of off sound that matches his voice when its blown out.
I'd say Limp Bizkits drummer is more underrated. Abe has been getting his roses as of late. Deftones are influential to other bands across the board. People don't like to admit Limp really went in the first two albums. Drummer is unique.

Don't know why people are hating on this, Chino still does a wonderful job in spite of those "I hate all ...", that clean voice is something else and it's rare to hear it sound this good (reverb or not), at least on what I've seen of their performances on yt. + Love Abe's drumming indeed, and all the rest.

Hell yeah man, Saints Row 2 had an awesome soundtrack. Great game, too. I always had this song in my custom playlist on there, mind was blown that they had good enough taste to include Deftones on there. I think Saints 3 had another Deftones track as well, "Diamond Eyes" I think.
I remember listening to "Hole In The Earth" randomly while playing and reading Resistance (Game)...i always associate this song to those games oddly enough 😅

I can’t imagine how difficult it is to play the guitar, move around, yell the lyrics AND SOMEHOW manage to hit the notes perfectly to sound exactly like the studio version!! Not to mention Chino has been the lead singer in this band the entirety of their 30+ year career so his vocal chords have gone through the works and he’s still super talented!
one word that explains why this band has been around so long : talent. their creativity and devotion to creating beautiful music for us fans will always sustain them. I love these guys so much and will support them by buying their music and going to their shows for as long as they continue to bless us with it.
may not hit all his notes to his own "bloody" songs and neither did bob dylan, but he makes some amazing music to play along with and all of his shytt is easy and fun to sing along with.. i listen to deftones everyday! because i relate to the raw emotion this band has!! they are all about just making good music.. not showing off or trying to be better than the other bands.. rock and roll aint no competition!!

its really hard for some guys to go that high pitched and I dont think his voice was ready for this day that he played. other than the chorus's he did great on his vibrato singing through his diaphram when he sings can you explain to me- ( HOW- 0:57 ) was great! and when he sings can you explain to me-(NOW 1:50 ) its really good. those 2 parts.
It is. And unlike some say… he used to be able to hit clean notes at the very top of his range. He lost the ability to do so around the time “White Pony” dropped, coincidentally he began to sing much more on that album… before he screamed a lot and had to hit like a few high clean notes every now and then… on white pony he had to belt cleans so much more… and probably due to lack of technique he kinda lost his voice. I think he had vocal fold paralysis or something. Also drinking, drugs and neglecting his health overall kinda messed him up big time… he brought it up in an interview. With that being said his stuff is not that easy to sing. Very dynamic… it’s never a straight line with this guy!
I like their newer stuff a lot. But there was just something about Chi’s bass lines that made the songs so powerful. And when playing live, his parts were always very prominent. I don’t hear as much bass from Sergio.
Legendary performance...these late night shows are so goofy and mainstream nowadays. Rare to see a band of this magnitude perform but damn...this is undeniable.
