    I've got the kit but haven't started any project yet.
    I love the way you explain everything so succinctly. That definitely helps us with our own attempts!

    Ink the edges from the back side and you won’t mess up much.

    Very pretty!! Can you share what thickness of chipboard you used for the spine? I purchased some chipboard but it is not as stiff as the chipboard you used. Thank you!

      Hello, ours is Medium Weight Chipboard 46pt (point) or .046" (.046 inch) thickness = 1.17mm. We have a link to it on our blog (in the description box) if you are interested. Hope this helps!

    I purchased this kit, plus the fussy cut pieces. I am soooo glad you did a tutorial on this beautiful kit. I wondered what you had used for the window pane effect that I first saw on pintrest. Is there a matte, brighter side for the transparency paper? Very, very cool! Ihave an epson 2780 printer. What setting do you use?

    • @myporchprints-junkjournalt5340
      @myporchprints-junkjournalt5340  Год назад +1

      Thank you! We just used the regular printer settings, nothing fancy. No change from how you print it on paper. There is no matte side, it's 100% clear, but there is a right side to print on. The transparency paper we use gives instructions to breath on the transparency paper: One side fogs up and the other doesn't, and that is how you know which side to print on, but it is best to check the transparency paper instructions on your specific brand to know how to print it correctly, as it may be slightly different from what we are using. Hope this helps!

    That looks gorgeous!!! I have a question: Is it absolutely necessary to use a digital specially made for this? I have a set of lovely Japanese themed digitals, and I would love to make a journal like this with them. Or your Shabby Travel Kit, would that work?

    • @myporchprints-junkjournalt5340
      @myporchprints-junkjournalt5340  Год назад

      Hi! We have only ever tried it with this kit, but theoretically this technique would work with any image, it just really depends. This looks like stain glass because the designs were designed to look like stained glass, but as long as you print a digital on translucent paper, it should have that same see-through effect, I would think. Hope this helps!

    Deep breath. Ok. But exacto knives are not my friend.😢 Worth the try, though.
