    Amazing how differently Cerakote handled criticism of their product. I wish their V2 had been part of this test if for no other reason than their professionalism and transparency. I’ve dropped one product in this test from my buying list already!

    I’m a big fan of CCI some excellent recognized detailers put it on a test hood and it masked a ton of scratches and oxidation by virtue of the sio2 particles being medical grade and very small so the coating is able to make a finish almost perfectly level on an atomic level so it has incredible gloss and is able to fill some micro marring.

    To me, abillity to get the vehicle out the door sooner, adds value to the product. As long as it also performs similarly to the others. So with hydro lite being able to be released an hour after completion without fear of getting wet, this needs to be taken into consideration for detailers.

    Nice! I've been eagerly waiting to see how CCI performs in this recurring format. Other than a few short clips on Tiktok and Insta, it has been hard to find much on it. Looking forward to see how it fares side by side with C6 Hydro Lite.
    I think you should keep it to real world maintenance without any toppers or "torture" testing. Just do whatever is necessary to keep them clean and performing.
    If you do decide to take it further, make sure to get the surface back to a neutral state and let it bake in the sun for a couple hours/days to see if any dropback in performance goes away.

Also need to have the right lighting to avoid those issues. Question to Ethos, is it the higher resin activity that may cause streaks and highspots? What are your tips? Thx

    To be honest , when a ceramic coating says it is scratch resistant they lose all credibility in my book. Unless someone is willing to do a scratch test with Ethos that statement is very misleading especially to the average consumer. Take it through the car wash and would love to see how scratch resistant it is.

    • @ethoscarcare
      @ethoscarcare 3 месяца назад +12

      Nowhere do we say scratch-proof, but the coating certainly adds additional hardness and protection against light marring as mentioned. There is a reason this coating lasted thousands of washes in Dmitry's tests. But don't take our word for it, test it yourself!

    • @Murph97
      @Murph97 3 месяца назад +4

      @@ethoscarcare the image that Jamie showed says “ultra scratch resistant” I never said scratch proof. Coatings can help prevent micro marring or swirls from improper wash techniques. “Ultra scratch resistant” is misleading. The other 2 brands featured don’t claim scratch resistance. Just some feedback no need to be defensive with the double post. Golly gee

    • @DhDetails87
      @DhDetails87 3 месяца назад +3

      @-Joseph5 I agree with you. I think saying scratch-resistant sounds misleading bc it makes it sound like they're talking about a hardness test. I know it's probably saying the same thing but in a different way...but I think it would sound more genuine if these companies said something more like "Makes surface slick, reducing friction which may help resist scratches"
