Excellent job on your performances and your videos! It would be really interesting to know how people back in 1766 would have reacted to a song from 1966 like Light My Fire - but played on the harpsichord and acoustic guitar.
Ray Manzarek was a PRO, one of the best keyboardist of our times. Totally on par with Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and Tony Banks. No other band sounded like the Doors because of him
Imagine that tune would have been played in the days of that harpsichord ….The people would have been ‘Whoa, what is this ? Out of this World- Man!’ Nice interpretation!👍
This song remind me of me once took a bike and go for a ride. I didn't sit for months on a bike. I decided to go easy to the lake and back, but somewhere on a ride something hapened and i start to ride in a big circle around the lake and to the river as fast as i can. And i drove and i drove but i feelt exhousted and decide to go back in flat. i didnt stop because if i would stop i would probably get cold. So i drove as fast as i can back to the flat. cars were honckin behinde me. I finaly with all energy that was left clime up the stairs, and open the door and lay on bed. i almost colapse. Afther half of hour i regein my stranght and take a shower. I felt afther that like a new person. So fresh and calm. That how this song start, just like any other song but then it goes on the ride to something diferent.
Thank you for your video, there needs to be more stuff out there proving that the harpsichord is at home on many other styles than just music of the past.
There NEEDS to be more harpsichord covers on youtube!
Lol... I believe you're right! :)
@@yoavdjbanana Try a Doors Style version of Taylor Swifts Shake It Off or maybe Let It Go from frozen arranged by Chris Cornell.

Man, that harpsichord absolutely WORKS there. Very cool.
Great work! It's incredible how could Manzarek add rhythm and melody in a so harmonic way.
Beautiful piece of art that harpischord and the music is awesome, congratulatios!!!
Thanks Ricardo !
Absolutely amazing cos this cover version you all knocked it out of the ball park.
Needless to say that harpsichord is as wild as the organ... curious shrine in the acoustic guitar background...
Indeed a wild instrument!
Thanks!
Ray & the rest of the band would be proud to see this well done tribute

They would've thought that's exiting.
You would need drums from that time as well

Hello ,when was made that harpsichord?
There is an animal passing at 1.50, perhaps a cat.
raymonnn It's a cat & not a cat at the same time!
Can you do a tutorial?
Ive seen someone do Bluegrass Van Halen, someone needs to do Boroque era doors lol
Optimum idea !
How old is that thing? :)
Its a Flemish Harpsichord from 1810 !
You're joking, I hope. This looks like it's from the 1980ies.
Lol... How so? :)
There are a lot of replicas out there. But in 1810 they still made harpsichords. You could sell it to a museum for large sums :)
tab for the guitar?
אבל ביד אחת :-)
Yes it was a cat indeed !
Too quantized...
