Good lesson for Tennis Canada. Tabilo was always a top junior in Canada, but when the time to jump to the tour came, gurus said he had no chances, no support was given and Tabilo decided to move to Chile where he found Guillermo Gómez. Take a look now, a top 50 players. Congratulations to Alejandro Tabilo and his team. Well deserved.

@@starllama2149 yes I am and know the tennis scene . Tabilo won Eddie Herr one of the most prestigious junior tournaments . Got a scholarship at Bolletieri. Unfortunately he was very arrogant . He criticized all the tennis coaches at the national centre in Canada when he was 16 years old, little did he know that Shapovalov and FAA , training at that centre, would surpass him easily (they were a couple years younger). He even claimed Jarry was just a “good doubles player” (that’s it lol?) before he went for Chile .
Idol was Nadal at the time, unfortunately he was left handed but not humble.
But anyway, all that attitude didn’t serve him well as he turned out mentally weak despite being gifted and he hasn’t done much to back it up, but now he has a title so have to give him credit . So congrats to him.
Tennis is huge in Chile so not that surprising he went for Chile , he had stars in his eyes .
But he’ll always be a Canadian boy born and raised , playing for Chile .
I’ve seen his interviews and he’s Uber-Canadian to this day. He followed his heart I guess.

Down the ranks he'll go soon enough. All that faux machismo screaming & crowd bias just made Tabby work harder for the win 6-1 7-5. The Chilean was by far the better player.
