      @ads213 Medvedev took a break early in both sets against Paul but the Russian's serve isn't very good. So, with jarry he would lose. Even the second set paul won was in the tiebreaker. Zverev will be the champion in my opinion.

    I watched both the matches live and was absolutely exhausted looking at the blood, sweat, and tears these players put into the semi-finals matches.
    The amount of effort to win a Masters title in clay is staggering.
    And to think Rafael Nadal has won a mind-boggling 10 titles here. That too in the prime era of Djokovic + Federer + Wawrinka + Murray and other stellar clay court players. It won't be an exaggeration to call him super-human.

    • @astro6020
      @astro6020 14 дней назад +56

      Yes, he is super human. Fun fact about Nadal - He has won more clay court titles than matches lost on clay.

    • @sofpsocf
      @sofpsocf 14 дней назад +26

      Clay is by far the most physically demanding surface and to think Rafa dominated it for such a long time is insane, it’s no surprise his body was the limiting factor

      This is just one tournament. And he's got 10 of them here, plus:
      11 Monte Carlo
      5 Madrid
      12 Barcelona
      14 French Opens.
      None of these title records will be broken in our lifetime, with the exception of maybe Madrid. The guy is an anomaly, to say the least.

      @serbianbeast1733 14 дней назад +14

    Paul played a great beautiful match. That one hander passing shot changed the second set balance, he was down a break and after that got a break back. He did few great improvisations during the match as well. A beautiful forehand chip that seemed like he was going to hit a drop shot but changed it to amazing fast forehand slice on Jarry's match point!

Rune, Ruud, Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev, Melvedev, Rublev, De Minayr, Hurkacz, etc. We are back to watch great tennis matches with everyone trying to dominate the open field, now that Nadal is on his way out and Djokovic not far behind him. 2025, I believe all those guys will break open, with people many of them winning at least one title and none of them surging as heir to the throne.

    Tommy Paul is underrated by most of the fans and followers with his performance and quality. It was a sort of intimidation from American tennis competitor before RG. As to Nicolas Jarry, many congrats to Chilean tennis competitor!

    Wonderful heart belief by Zverev 👏🏽
    Why did Paul apologize for that intentional strike at the net 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦

    Зверев в третьем озверел.. теперь ему снова с чилийцем играть...уверен в его карьере подобное чилийское нашествие впервые ..!

    I like Tommy Paul but damn you can deny that Jarry has an absolutely monstruous game. Killer serve and killer groundstrokes eveywhere, I think he has a chance to win tomorrow.

    Jarry is something else! Super strong serve, a massive forehand and also plays drop shots! He's gonna take the Rome title!

    Just when you thought Paul would come back from one-set down, just like Zverev did against Tabilo... Hope Jarry gets his first Master 1000 trophy.
