Thank You Parts Dr, My pitcher has been leaking since day one (going on 2 years now). I tried a number of things to stop it from leaking with no success. I called the store where I purchased this refrigerator (ABT in Niles, IL) and they knew about the problem but really couldn't help. A new pitcher there was about $180 which I thought was crazy. Samsung has knowledge of this defect and should offer a new thicker rubber band to solve this problem. Maybe we could start a class action lawsuit and get Samsung to offer all of us a thicker rubber band. LOL 🤣. But over all your rubber band 5 cent trick did work well. I want to thank you for your information, I am now a Parts Dr subscriber and making Parts Dr my to go for parts place. By the way your prices are much better then ABT and other online places. Thank You again.

i told my wife i was doing this she protested before i started trying to find a replacement gasket and found this vid showed her and she let me fix it with the rubber band thanks
Absolutely ingenious, I've had a new samsung fridge. Same water pitcher with the same drip.. I was literally thinking of doing this same method but with Teflon tape instead of the rubber band. Thx

Great video . Should note I had two pitchers. both leak. The door had a dent on it when delivered. before they change the fridge i took the old pitcher. Shold of sold it on Ebay for $90 They are not dishwasher safe? The pitcher part melted. I kelp the lid as spare. You should sell the ruberband and flat head driver as a kit 😁 (One Samsung Pitcher repair kit $39.99)
