This was the tutorial I was looking for. Honestly some of your other tutorials that appear to be for new owners of your machines are created without thinking about the total Silhouette beginner (for instance your getting started with Cameo 4 video lacks any help with loading material on the mat so I had to find that somewhere else) but this one was great. Maybe you could try for comprehensive videos of about 10 mins instead of 2 minute quickies that lack a lot of information or 1 hour videos that cover 5 or 6 topics :-). Just a thought from a longtime consumer of art/craft tutorials. It would also be great to turn a serious mixed media artist loose with the Silhouette to demo some projects because not all of us are aspiring to the "cutesy" but that's just a suggestion to show the range of applications. It's pretty easy to extrapolate how I might make an art pop up book from my own art from your pop up card video. Also congratulations on the software. Anyone familiar with Photoshop will find it pretty intuitive and I was surprised by how much I could do within the software.
Same here! There are several things I can't figure out. How do I get the knife on the design board to work? Mine only draws a line that disappears as soon as I let go. I cannot figure out how to make it not do that. I need Silhouette for dummies

Hi Kelly, thank you for the great video. It's really informative and I find I'm watching, pausing and watching again as I try to make similar stuff! Can you tell me where you bought the clear boxes in the shelves behind you? I'm searching the internet for them and can't find anything similar. thanks
Hello, great video Kelly, I always learn so much from your tutorials. I Had one issue when trying to make these cards my machine isn’t cutting the edges completely. It’s difficult to separate the card after it’s been cut any ideas on what I should?
I would check the cut before unloading the mat, and if it hasn't cut completely through I'd send it again for another pass. Next time you may want to slightly increase the blade depth by 1, or the force by 3-4 to see if the same media cuts better.
As a complete newbie trying to follow, I did not like that you used a purchased design to work with as the example to follow along with. Otherwise the video was very informative.
I'm getting my silhouette in a few days. As for the software...if I get the Design Software will it also have the business software too or do I have to purchase them individually.
Any assistance with my issue would be appreciated! The JPG file I'm bringing over from Etsy to make stickers is showing that the "page" is too big for the cut space on mat on the screen. The image is fine - but the "paper" is over lapping the mat on my screen. When I print it out it is fine, but the cameo won't print it. Any thoughts on how to resize the "paper" or image backing without distorting the size of the images on the "page?"
Kelly, I can’t read the screen very well but was wondering what is the name of the font you used on the tumbler. I thought it was amistry script but I can’t find that in the SIlhouette store. Could you clarify? Thanks.

Hello...i just bought a brand new cameo 4 and i would like to design acetate box and cut it by silhouette studio. .however i have no idea how to do it... could u please help meon that? Thanks
You can cut acetate on your Silhouette Cameo 4, but acetate comes in many thicknesses. You can set it up to cut just like paper, but you'll need to adjust your cut settings based on its thickness. I recommend using thinner acetate rather than thick, and you will need to cut practice shapes at various blade thickness and force until you find the right setting for that material. Start low (like blade 3, force 30, speed 3) and then move up gradually as necessary.
