Clean with Isopropyl alcohol. If you have an electronics store nearby you can buy a product called Humiseal (or order online) which is an environmental coating for circuit boards that is sprayed on that keeps moisture out and you won't have this issue again.
JUST TAKEN MY GARRET APART AND NOTICED TWO RED COATED WIRES ATTACHED TO THE SOLDER WIRE BUT ONE BLACK WIRE BESIDE THEM WITH NO CONNECTION SHOULD IT BE SOLDERED ALSO
It probably had condensation in it, i dont think water woulda came from the outside unless you use it a lot under water and didn't get the cap tightened good enough.
good afternoon I have a propiter at the same and lately I started to sound and vibrate without having metal near to which the fault will devate I thank you
Some of these coils resonate with minelab 4500 and 5000 i will put a 1 k resistor across with a switch on the coil , even with it off it resonates the detector coil ,switch the resistor out when i use it.
Mine also did the death roll and came back twice. Once I was just rinsing it off in the sink. Then a day later it was good again. I brought a can of Flex Seal and gave it 4 coats submerged it and did the same thing. Oh well, brought a new one. Who knows?
I know this is an old video but get back to me i put off getting my fixed for a while the issue with mine is the rubber outer button is ripped and when pressed it opens for water to enter, knowing that its not waterproof or even dirt proof is sad and i think i cannot do anything about it because my warranty was not filled out or something

I’ve had three of these since then. They all were garbage. I’ve been using the Land and Sea for years and never had a single issue.
put a little grease on the o ring of the battery cap. Keeps it soft and helps seal it off. cool vid, lots of info, thanks.
+Dub Coco I did that today after cleaning it. Should have done it earlier I know. Thanks for watching and for the advice.

Just saw this video. Good old carrot. Mine broke that “carbon” that the copper is wrapped around. I would call it a coil. There is no fixing that lol.
