Garrett Propointer Repair (expensive part number revealed !!)

In this video I reveal the switch part number, this save you lot of money !. Also I show how to fix some common problems that may affect the Garrett Propointer.
- False signal due to the damaged connection between coil wires and PCB (probably caused by shock during use).
- Another common fault is the power switch, due to use the power switch become erratic restarting the unit and interfering with the sensitivity setting (resetting).

Have the same pointer and it falses too.
Would have destroyed the switch when trying to find the problem.

they are very common faults, even if the pro pointer is well designed and constructed

and I just lost that little white button with that black cap on it ( 6:50 min) . Please help me. Could you get me a button like that?

@Agralt the only available solution will be to buy a microswitch (the part number that i disclose in the video) and take this part from there. But the easiest way will be to change all the switch, because disassemble that little switch have more to do with surgery and not electronics :)

You can also just put some tape on top of the pcb where it touches.

I think is not a PI. If you look at coil wires you can see 3 wires. Considering that PI machines have a 1 loop coil... the presence of 3 wires suggest at least 2 loop coil. Probably is a kind of variabile Q design.
