Many people asking for translation, thus posting in the main thread.
This is inspired from an Ode to Lord Shiva, considered the God of the Gods and The Destroyer according to Hindu Mythology.
The language is Sanskrit. I was blow when I saw RC did a song in Sanskrit, and it sounds sick.
I have compiled the parts used in the song along with English Translation for anyone who is curious:
Starts with 'Gayatri Mantra' followed by the 'Strota' (Ode).
Devadevam jagannatham devesam vrushabhadwajam,
Namami sirasa devam, kim no mrutyu karishyathi.
The Lord,

The song name is देवदेवं which is in Sanskrit language, pronounced as “Dēvadēvaṁ” and it means “God of Gods”. The whole song atmosphere and lyrics are in Sanskrit (sacred language of Hindu) dedicated to many Hindu gods, lords and goddess

Paganism is one of the earliest kinds of religion humans have been practicing. Usually belief in gods of nature or god of the sky, god of death etcetera. Almost all paganism religions involve human and child sacrifice, so it's usually not a very nice thing.
@@johantitulaer1052 Pagan religions are ancient...times when death rates were much higher than today. Moreover, those religions like Hinduism consider death to be an integral part of life. NICE is just a matter of perspective.

Wow, roots of my country of India. Jagannath is the name of Lord Shiva and is praised all over India. But what I like about Rotting Christ is taking this mythology and making it in such a way that it is pleasant to listen to. The language is probably Sanskrit which is one of the oldest languages in India

Everyone has an opinion about some or the other thing. Greek music is considered the best in the world. I have found temple noise to be very annoying, But it could be different from your perception as you see it the other way round

I had visited that temple a long time ago. It wasn't a right kind of place for me as staying in the temple itself was awkward and now don't visit any of the temples. But couldn't say much about the music I've listened to in it. Must be good bro

First time I came across this stuff. I am a die hard heavy metal fan. I love Eleine, Alisha White, Melisha and other metal singers. Can't believe to see some ancient hindu stuff. Tons of love from India. I heard Rotting Christ in Ancient Greek it is also a marvel.

I'm Pagan, and my understanding of paganism (European paganism) is through the scope of what I've learned and been taught. Reading the translation of the lyrics makes me understand
A. How much I get AND don't get the Indian religion.
B. How much culture and way of thinking goes into understanding the religion of your ancestors.
I think this is what unites pagans in the world, A mutual understanding that WE understand our religion, and that others understand THEIR religion. This is what makes the Abrahamic religions so cheap and, just my opinion, dastardly. You don't NEED to understand Christianity, Islam, or Judaism, you just need to know that they have laws, and if you follow them, good things happen to you.
This shits on the idea of the ancient ways, that there is a world, which you must know in order to achieve wisdom (the body) and satisfaction (the soul).
the one true God Yahweh needs to be understood in as much as He will not accept worship not offered in Spirit & Truth. He says the fool has said in his heart that there is no God. He is the Creator so a creature of His turning away because his own satisfaction is the ultimate good forfeits His soul.this isn't an idea, it's reality - scoff at your own peril.

Some religions which came later into the human race made mainly for the support of ruling parties or their preferences. they have a certain set of rules to follow and guarantee the end outcome , and forbids the freedom of reasoning the rules.

Hinduism, on the other hand goes beyond mere humen weaknesses, and gives a concept that is more logically sound and reasonable.

Mannn. Rotting Christ has been one of the most consistent metal band for the past 25 years. Not one of their release was bad. Followed their transition from early grindcore right until now. Never disappoint. Also nice to see Rudra's vocalist got a chance here. Underrated band.
