The "this is my favorite plant" reminds me a bit of a parent when you tell each kid "you are my favorite". It's cute being a plant parent. Your collection is outstanding. I'm green with envy.
Casey's Green Thumb haha! Thank you I try!! I gave my hindu ropes to my aunt because they weren’t looking too happy so I’m on the hunt for some more! 😅 I want to try those out again bc they made me feel like a hoya failure 😂
After I collect the syngoniums and pothos that I still don't have I think I'm gonna venture in hoya next because of you 🙈🙈 I never thought I'm gonna fall in love with hoyas! Those flowers are pretty!!
Wow!!! I also shop at Another Place In Time!! Their prices are so low and the majority of my collection has come from there! Love it! Love all your Hoya’s and all the plants you have outside too! 🥰
Hi Lessy, just subscribed, I love how you are not a "plant snob" and only go for the rare Hoyas. I'm in England, we don't have shops like Lowes, we just have small garden centers. I've only just started collecting Hoyas, and I'm in love. It's the leaves that attracted me to Hoyas, such diversity.
I love all your Hoya collection.. recently iam into Hoya too but till now I got myself only two hoyas(Hindu rope and variegated hoya)😍iam so in love with these two hoyas of mine🥰hoping to add more on my collection too.thanks for sharing your hoyas though.iam more inspired now🥰
I’m the same way! I adore the splash pubicalyx! 😍 Def my favorite. I have to see the leaves everyday coz they’re so pretty. You have an impressive Hoya collection! ✌️🌿
You have an amazing hoya collection! 😍 My kids and I love watching Phineas and Ferb too, Perry is so cute.😂 I’m going to find that hoya. I love your collection definitely added a lot to my hoya wishlist. Thank you for sharing!👌❤️🌸🌻🌿😘
I enjoy your videos so much. Even so, school is more important, but i am glad that you make time for RUclips as well. Love your hoyas💚😊 and good luck with your exams🤞
You have some beautiful hoyas & very large ones. One day I will have a few more but as for now will waiting until I am able to. Thanks for sharing enjoy. What is your favourite hoya.... for real! I watched at least 10 of your videos & everytime you said..." this is one of my favourite!"
The reason why a lot of hoya enthusiasts love the pubicalyx and even go creating hybrids of them is because the color of the leaves are beautiful, the blooms are beautiful but most important is it is a very fast grower compared to other hoyas.
Love your collection. Can you tell me what soil do you use for your hoyas please 🤗🙏I see that there outside, do you bring it inside. How long do you leave it out?
Love your Hoya and info. Can you please make a video of your Hoya Australia Albomarginata? Growth and care tips, bloom ect. Can't find much info on this hoya. Thanks
Wow love your Hoyas, I purchased 2 Hoya Kerri but only have the one leaves in each pots that’s how they were scaling them, I’m hopping for them to grow extra leaves.
Stef Hall Hahaha thank you so much you have no idea how excited I got that you commented! You have a beautiful collection! 💚💚 my dog gets scared of his own farts 😂 I think the noise the camera picked up might’ve just been his hefty breathing 🤣
Gorgeous girl ! They are all gorgeous. What an amazing collection 😍😱🙌🏻 And can I just add, I have no idea who In the world would thumbs down this video. You are seriously the sweetest and your plants are amazing💚
I too love hoyas. What do you do with your bigger outdoor Hoyas during the winter? Do you bring them inside? I live in San Antonio and bring both my hoyas in for the winter. I’d like to get more hoyas but don’t have much room inside if I need to bring them inside during cold weather.
It looks like your two Krimson queens are in fact Krimson queens, but you have the narrow form of one! Kindof like Monstera adansonii, with the wide and narrow leaf cultivars. I normally only see the wide leafed krimson queens so cool for you!
Hello! Cute Hoya collection. I collect hoyas too and have 150 different varieties! The cuttings in the beginning that you don't have the name for is correctly called Hoya sp aff burtoniae because it is very similar too Hoya burtoniae but is a kind of different. So, until it gets its own name it is called Hoya sp aff burtoniae. Good luck with your hoyas! ☺️
Thinking you have the proper humidity, environment to make these Hoyas get peduncles even where they are not supposed to. Weird but Your plans thrive like their life depends on it. Happy for you., thanks for showing us your beauties. You mean you are trying to give those experts some input.
No worries, you do have a life away from RUclips, just take care of that part of your life that is important, and that is your schooling. We will survive and be excited when you post something, we are not going anywhere, and I have patience. All of your Hoyas are beautiful. I am just collecting Hoyas whenever I find them sometimes at random places like Lowe's and my local nursery. I currently have seven in my collection. Thank you for sharing your beautiful awesome collection, and I hope you have a less stressful week, see you again, bye for now.
Holly Hasegawa Nielson Thank you so much! I love reading your comments!!! Lowes has some good stuff!! I always stalk there first before going to other places 👀💚
Absolutely love your Hoya collection they are so beautiful and you are doing an amazing job caring for them! Would you consider getting: - Hoya Memoria - Hoya Linearis - Hoya Limoniaca - Hoya Fungii I have found all of these grow well for me. The only one that probably struggles due to lack of humidity is the linearis but it is such a unique Hoya! I live in Ireland by the way so super envious of you🇮🇪🍀😂
hi! can you teach us how you make your trellis's for your hoyas and other vining plants? i cant find any of those loopy things you use for your plants anywhere!
Pubicalyx are the best! The splash can be so different, I love it a lot. The sunset is v cute I'm adding this and the kerii picta to my list after this video!
Twisty Sunshine I went to a nursery yesterday and my mom ended up buying me another pubicalyx because it was big and speckled- so different from the one I already have 😂 I think I might just keep getting more! 💚
How many leaves where on your plant when you received your heart-shaped Hoya from Gabriella Nursery? I know there Hoya plant is around $48 I paid $28 for reverse variegation Hoya and it has three leaves on it. Also how long did it take to grow all the new leaves since you received the plant. And the third question is do you use the Miracle Gro Orchid spray on your Hoyas because they are very large
So i just checked out the unboxing with your grandmother that you linked because somehow I didn't see it earlier... But bless her heart I could tell you guys were very special to each other.
I love your collection. I now have several new Hoyas to add to my wish list. My first was a Hoya Compacta (unfortunately I over watered it and it didn’t make it). I’ve since learned from that mishap and my replacement is doing well, along with my Hoya lacunosa, Crimson Princess, and Hoya retusa. I just got 6 more Hoyas in the mail this evening, I’m hoping they pull through. I picked a poor time of year to have plants shipped to me. I live in northern Canada in the Northwest Territories (think Alaska north) and my new Hoyas came from southern BC, here’s hoping that they didn’t get cold damaged. Thank you for sharing your collection.
Christy Yasinowski my hoya compacta was struggling a lot too so I had to give it to my aunt! But Im so happy it didn’t discourage you 💚💚💚 sounds like you have a wonderful collection ☺️ and I hope your new plants get to you okay!!
Hi! I am really impressed with all your plants in general, so healthy looking, i have a question, when you propagate, do you do it on water or soil, i can see your cuttings already as plants! I know you have been so successful in propagating, please share! Thanks !
Patricia Maqueda Hey thank you so much!! I typically propagate in water but make sure theyre getting high humidity as theyre rooting 😄😄 Once I see a few roots I move them into leca to lessen the chance of rot 💚
Gorgeous Hoya collection! #goals Can you make a Hoya care tip video? You keep saying your hoyas just finished blooming and would love some tips on how you get your hoyas to bloom and how you keep your hoyas looking so healthy.
My very first hoya I got when I was 6 years old at my school fair for a nickel. It was just a very small cutting maybe one leaf in a styrofoam cup. I don't know why I wanted it. I didn't know what it was. But my neighbor's grandmother put it in a very rare colored flower pot which was unpopular at the time but just this gorgeous 1930s green ringed pot. I set it in a basket with a really tall handle. It kept growing and I just kept winding it in a circle it had these nice oval but pointed on the end leaves a couple inches long 3 maybe? It was so thick and dark green every once in a while there be a speckle or two on the leaves but mostly just dark green and I just kept carefully winding it around that tall handle I had it my whole entire life into my forties. That plant bloomed and bloomed and bloomed it never stopped great big giant round balls of pink flowers in stars with those little tiny Dew Drop cells all over them. I moved into a house that was heated with wood stoves and one night it froze and my plant froze! I cried for days! Then weeks ! I had it over 40 years! I ended up saving the dead plant and the root ball and making a window hanging out of it. Which sometimes I'd still look at it and cry. One day a friend came over when I wasn't feeling good and helped clean when I came into the kitchen I couldn't find my plant? I asked my friend and she said Oh I thought it was just something dead and I threw it away! The garbage had already gone out! Again my heart was broken. then to make it worse somebody stole all my Bauer Pottery which I had quite a large collection of including that planter that I'd had since I was a little girl. My first piece of Bauer pottery. Someday I will find a hoya again in fact I have an old boyfriend that has a plant that belonged to my mother that has passed. I'm going to have to get a hold of him he has all my old house plants. So when I move I'm going to ask him for cuttings. This is like a Horror Story to somebody who understands how much you can love your Hoya! especially when you bought it when you were a kindergartener for 5 cents in a styrofoam cup in the 1960s! Poor baby🖤
This is beautiful Im so sorry that you lost your plant 😭😭 I hope you can get those cuttings!! Hoya are beautiful! I cant imagine what you must’ve felt, but it’ll always be in your heart. You can expand your collection to try and grow another that you might love just as much as the first ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@LessyasLeaves I just read that( what I wrote first) and my voice to text isn't working well and it is almost 6 a.m. and I haven't been to bed yet I'm on about a 10-day run of not sleeping. I have so much to do today I don't know how I'm going to sleep a little and still do what I need to do. Thank you for letting me tell my story about my baby plant. I was telling you about what I have left. And this place that I'm staying at which I never dreamed would happen. I had a house and a life and everything changed in about 4 days. But what I do have is terribly cute and special. Maybe one day I'll get to tell you. All odds and ends that I've collected. Maybe a snip here and a pinch there that I rooted LOL those are some of my favorite. I also have some pretty special air plants. I live in Washington state so there's not much late I have supplemental light that I got it that they're store for people who have that s a d during the winter. It's on the opposite side of the window. They seem to really respond to it. So for $2.99 I got a light that works well. Until I have a better place for everyone to live including me. Take care and thanks again 🐾🥦👣🌱🐸
I got my first Hoya (Carnosa Krimson Queen) for my birthday on the 1st and honestly all I want is a Krimson Princess now! My Hoya is suuuuuch a snow grower. She’s got like 4 or 5 new growth points but like they’re hardly doing anything, like they’re not growing any longer, whyyyyyyy. But it’s got an entire pink stem (it’s got 3 pink leaves on it) and I love it so much!
The darker Krimson Queen might be a strawberries and cream! I have one at home. A grower told me that the two are slightly different in color and leaf shape.
I've never heard of Hoya sipitangensis before and it's gorgeous! Another one for my wish list, that already have curtisii, serpens and polyneura. I recently managed to provoke the sun stressed red in some of my hoyas under LED lights, and I think that fuelled my hoya interest. One of them may be an obscura (mislabeled quinquenervia) and turned very red. Love your videos, but will survive periods without ;) Relax. I know how much work a video is (even though it seems easier for everyone else).
Kim Rashad haha i try to be a good plant mom but I dont think Im the best 😅 I gave my hindu ropes to my aunt because they weren’t looking too happy so that plant is on my plant-fail list 😫 I plan on moving them inside if it gets below 50! :)
Princess was my first Hoya, it’s a love affair for sure! My Royal Hawaiian has purple leaves but I guess there are many versions within the pubicalyx variety. I’m now mad at myself because I passed up a burtoneaii (sp) the other day.
prosie1968 The purple still has me confused!! I still think the leaves should be purple too but Ive been corrected a few times! Ill try and make a care tips video! Thank you for watching 💚💚
Thanks so much! I love hoyas too. Your hoyas outside are growing like crazy. I have a fuzzy small pointed leaf sub species of hoya australis and a round green leaf(ss. australis) that has fuzz on the underneath of the leaf. And I'm in Australian, and would you believe that it is hard here to find the australis lisa! btw, there's 7 sub species or types of the hoya Australis. I have 5.
Plants and Piggies they really are! I have the fuzzy australis on my list 👀 but thats so funny that its hard for you to find 😂 Yay for having a great collection of them!! 💚💚 I need them all 😂
I got a pothos and I read online to add hydrogen peroxide with water to the soil because of bugs. Now half the leaves are turning yellow to brown. I did the same ratio as instructed. What can I do to help it?
James frick en Charles you might’ve overwatered it. When I did hydrogen peroxide treatments on mine, I had to make sure the soil was very dried out before. The hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and basically waters the plant. I’d just let it dry out and make sure it’s in soil with good drainage. Pothos dont like to be wet and overwatering is usually why the leaves turn yellow. I’d just cut the yellow leaves off and try to salvage the plant. If it’s really damaged, you could take cuttings of the good parts of the plant and root them in water so you don’t lose the whole thing
My hoya wish list is, ALL. That's is, your collection and royally beautiful
I looooove your Hoya collection and seeing how it’s grown. They’re all so beautiful 🧡
Deya thank you Deya!!! I try 😂💚

You don't owe anyone any apologies, you gotta do what is best for you first, people will survive without plant videos.

Looking forward to the Hoya care video!!
Aki Ormrod thank you!! 😊😊😊💚💚
Wow love your Hoyas, I purchased 2 Hoya Kerri but only have the one leaves in each pots that’s how they were scaling them, I’m hopping for them to grow extra leaves.

Tara Taillon Oh wowza!! I hope you find a princess soon! I think mine grow quickly because theyre outside in 60-90 temps and really bright light! 💚
So you add noot to your plants in leca instead of the semi hydro nutrients?
Gorgeous collection.
CrystalRenèe 420 thank you so much!! 💚🥰
My bird goes nuts when i watch your videos 😂 love the hoyas
Natalie Bichler haha well I hope thats a good thing 😂💚 thank you!
What is a hoya that has a name Hoya SP4? It has some purple or might be deep burgandy leafs but more green leaves then purple.
The darker Krimson Queen might be a strawberries and cream! I have one at home. A grower told me that the two are slightly different in color and leaf shape.
Danielle Madison ohhh!! That could be the case! Thank you! 💚
Lessya’s Leaves you’re welcome!
Thanks for the locations in Houston. I will stop and visit them.
My Hoya obovata is the quickest grower for me 😊😋
Exotics WithNature oh yay!! My big plant has grown a ton too but my little cutting won’t budge! 💚
Que belleza 😍 soy de bueno Aires Argentina acá no consigo la de corazones
I've never heard of Hoya sipitangensis before and it's gorgeous! Another one for my wish list, that already have curtisii, serpens and polyneura. I recently managed to provoke the sun stressed red in some of my hoyas under LED lights, and I think that fuelled my hoya interest. One of them may be an obscura (mislabeled quinquenervia) and turned very red. Love your videos, but will survive periods without ;) Relax. I know how much work a video is (even though it seems easier for everyone else).
Snegle- Tarald thank you so much!!! Sounds like you have a really great collection too!! 💚💚
So jealous!🙌🏽😱
WoW such beautiful Hoya can you make a video on how you water them and fertilize thanks
Nena Vienneau thank you!! And yes I plan on making that video 😃😄
Beautiful collection ♥️
Krista Lynn thank you!! 💚
Your collection is absolutely gorgeous. You are one of the best plant mom. You do an amazing job. Will you keep your hoyas indoors?
Kim Rashad haha i try to be a good plant mom but I dont think Im the best 😅 I gave my hindu ropes to my aunt because they weren’t looking too happy so that plant is on my plant-fail list 😫 I plan on moving them inside if it gets below 50! :)
I’ll love all your Hoya
Tank Jeff thank you! 💚💚💚
I’m so sorry about your grandma, I remember that vlog. ♥️
Krista Lynn thank you ❤️
Princess was my first Hoya, it’s a love affair for sure! My Royal Hawaiian has purple leaves but I guess there are many versions within the pubicalyx variety. I’m now mad at myself because I passed up a burtoneaii (sp) the other day.
PS: I would love some care tips on macrophylla albo marginata. Rotundifolia isn’t my dream Hoya right now. I’m subscribing.
prosie1968 The purple still has me confused!! I still think the leaves should be purple too but Ive been corrected a few times! Ill try and make a care tips video! Thank you for watching 💚💚
Your collection is crageee~~~^^
SuperChicChick thank you!! I hope to make it crazier 👀💚
Where do you put them outside? I'm so afraid this Texas heat will kill mine. Do you keep yours in a shady spot?
I'm looking for a hoya Rebbecca .🤞
Wow!! This is a beautiful collection!! I would love to own more Hoyas too but I don't have enough light for them :'(
Eliel89s oh noo! Most of mine are outside because I dont have a ton of light either 😅💚
My Royal Hawaiian purple does come out dark purple.
You are more beautiful than the Hoya plants!
Could I ask a question hoya still survive under the sun. Thanks
💚💚 I need them all 😂
Luv ur hoyas❤
mariyam shazna thank you! 💚
Burtonaie is endemic to the Phillipines.. And its endangered.. Its one of my favourite too..
Maria Hartley Oh wow that’s interesting! I wanted to get another one to keep it green and I think now I just might 👀💚
I got a pothos and I read online to add hydrogen peroxide with water to the soil because of bugs.
My name is Maria and I too have a Hoya problem~
What’s a padunckle and how do you spell the”nute” stuff?
I love hoja too im feom the Philippines
