I get around 55-57 mpg. I drive 160 miles a day. About 98% highway. 62mph is the sweet spot on Cruise control. The engine turns off and uses the hybrid mode when it’s level ground or down hill. When not using cruise control you can use the electric motor alone with the engine off, up to 70 mph BUT you have to be progressive with the gas pedal. I bought mine in July 2021, I already have 15,000 miles! No regrets. I get about 550 miles per tank. Only has a 10 gallon gas tank.
Yes Sir I can also relate on the 550 fuel capacity. Great buy in my end thought about a getting a camry hybrid but this compact job still very well gets the job done. It's all I need
I bought one a month ago. Love it. I've gotten 66.5 mpg. Perfect commuter car. Love the blind spot warning. I bought it for less than you mentioned $25,824
It is funny how ppl in the US says 121 HP is not enough.... here where I live (Costa RIca) there are cars with 85-90 HP like Hyundai I10, Kia Picanto, Chevrolet Spark.... even my 2002 B15 Sentra (with 122 HP) is fairly quick xD.... not everybody needs +200HP.lol. Ordered my Corolla Hybrid 2023 and I´m waiting for it, it is supposed to be delivered by December 2022.
I bought mine in Las Vegas and I absolutely love this car. Ultra quiet plush ride. You will never regret the purchase and will last you the next 10 years and beyond.
finally someone made a review for my car. I got this 8/13/21 and didn't realize my 2022 was so new there were no reviews yet. Got this exact color and I love it. Coming from the 2010 Toyota Corolla S, this was a HUGE upgrade. Had to read the drivers manual for the first time ever cause the tech is so high end nowadays.
@@beestorm7609 it’s a great car. Drive a lot for work so already at 10,500 miles but it maintains 54 mpg and I pretty much perma use eco mode unless I’m going onto free then I use power mode and switch back to eco right after.
Great review as always, Tom! Fortunately for the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE, there's an option for an interior premium package. This adds full leather Softex seats for all 4 seats, power adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, leather wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. This premium package has been available in Canada for a few years but first time it's available in the USA.
Hello @Braeton in Victoria BC Canada now later i permanently move to Edmonton AB Canada. I have 2 options to buy 2022 Corolla Hybrid LE with Luxury Upgrade vs 2022 Mazda3 GS FWD Luxury Upgrade package? Which one should I get?
I have the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Lease will be up. Considering the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Biggest disappointment was lack of spare led to car having to be towed to the nearest dealership for replacement of tire. There is no room for spare tire. Non fixable tire problem leads to an immediate problem. It happened twice over 3 years. However, mileage was fantastic. Switched from Prius due to price point. No c/d player is a slight disappointment. Would get Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2022 with package that includes better interior, better safety features and power driver seat. $2000 option package is the way to go. Mileage is fantastic at 45 to 50 mpg. Extra charge for platinum premium color worth investment. Would get beige interior with upgraded fabric since black interior showed dirt often. Probably all in will cost $28500. Two years of free maintenance is excellent touch!
I don't mind manual seats at all. Once I set the seat to my liking I never touch it again anyway. Not a fan of no spare tire though, but then tires don't go flat like they did on old school cars back in the day.
Compared to my Prius gen 3, this has actually fixed a couple of issues and is a great reliable vehicle. They enlarged the battery and put it under the front instead of being too small and freezing way back in the trunk/boot space, which leads to disproportionate error messages of an unhelpful nature with the Prius cars. Known issue, check out Prius chat etc. I’d rate this car highly. My gen 3 Prius is my first-ever Toyota and the e-CVT as it has almost nothing in common with ‘conventional’ CVT (no belts, no friction plates, no pulleys clanking and so on), is the strongest transmission reliability-wise, short of two gears meshing constantly together. I used to have 100,000 mile+ diesels with auto transmission, the Toyota hybrid transmission is much better, although towing mass is best kept low. But then, this isn;t a huge car. Small garden trailers are fine, etc. Good vehicles.
Purchased in May this year. Until today, still waiting on the dealer for manufacture date. It is very to be pushed to 2022. That’s how things work in Australia. You guys are in luck.
No spare kind of scares me since I will be going on a long trip. Sometimes the tire is beyond repair and I would hate to be stranded on the road without a spare. Does Toyota sell a spare/donut after market that I can keep in my trunk?
Why not buy a Prius Prime with the government incentive that has a 40km range, more stylish, more standard features for just a little bit higher price?
Zonk on no spare. Zonk on no other trim levels offered with the hybrid. That lever on the left side of the steering column is fascinating. Is that standard with this vehicle? Decent looking. Toyota dependable. If I wanted a hybrid I would consider it. Love your reviews.
Good points as always! I hate to use a "zonk" since Joe Raiti already does. I need to come up with my own word. LOL And yes, the lever on the left side of the steering column has been standard for many years on the Corolla, but many drivers are determined to make us believe otherwise. 😂😂😂 Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a great comment. It is always good to hear from you!

In Australia the donut spare is standard supply on the corolla 2022

to anyone out there, are the Apex rearview mirrors with signal indicators swappable with the hybrid??
My 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback still gets 40 to 45 MPG. No one does that anymore unless you get a hybrid.

no Mazda gets 45 MPG
Can you still get 50mpg if your speed is 80mph?
