Jeff, It is about time the Corolla Hybrid premium package made its way to the USA, we have had it up here in Canada for 2 years already! Happy holidays to your camera operator whose name I don't want to misspell.
Jeff, will we eventually see more Model Options on the HYBRID COROLLA like we do with the HYBRID CAMRY and HYBRID RAV4? I would like to see a HYBRID COROLLA XSE APEX, or a HYBRID SE NIGHTSHADE EDITION.
Great option, but almost exact pricing of Maverick XLT hybrid with lux package. I opted for the Maverick, as it is a compact truck versus a compact car. (No lux package came in at $23,990 after destination)
It remains to be seen if this ford cvt transmission can last, because the ford is not very good at its mechanics. Although it is cheap, they are always fixing it and it was deployed much more than Toyota, the best CVT is Toyota.
@@wuyugaraje2365 Toyota definitely knows how to build great cars. The Maverick eCVT works very similarly to the eCVT in the Prius and Corolla hybrid. The 2.5 liter in the Ford has been in other vehicles, so not too concerned.
@@AutoEnthusiastJC I feel like you, one reason why my DD is a Fusion I purposely bought with the 2.5 instead of either Eco-Boost, and why I am strongly considering a Maverick hybrid to replace it....eventually. However, the lackluster service I have had at Ford dealers in the past makes me leery of buying a new Ford. (Current cars are a 2013 Fusion and a 2006 Mustang. )
love your reviews! helped me figure out which Rav4 I wanted (ended up getting the fully upgraded XLE with leather) unfortunately someone tboned me yesterday on the highway, flipped me over, and sent me skidding upside down about 100 yards... so now I'm looking for a new car! (also walked away from the wreck with not a scratch on me, so I can attest to that safety rating)
Major Bummer! I am glad you are okay. Seems like you have to drive for yourself and everyone else these days... so where you in the RAV4 when they T-boned you? And what year of RAV4 was it?
A high price tag for a small car, $3,000 more and you can get a Camry Hybrid Le cold weather package that comes with heated seats and heated steering wheel and blind spot monitor, and of course lithium ion battery that gives you around 52 MPG. For this kind of money I will go for a Camry LE hybrid lithium ion battery with mileage as good as a Corolla or Prius.
I just purchased a Corolla Hybrid on Friday..I had to put a deposit down 10 days prior and received it..it literally looks just like a corolla..I've only heard good things about the proud but a little futuristic looking for me..I also looked at the Camry Hybrid..very nice car also, but we have a family SUV and for me to travel for work the Corolla hybrid is working great so far, with a 4000 decrease in price from Camry..
I bought the Corolla Hybrid Hatch with 1.8 Lt with 18 inch wheels in February 2022 but built in December 2021 with 2022 compliance plates the top of the range ZR model in Australia this month of February 2022. It appears to be a good car. The car shown in the above clip only has 15 inch wheels and appears to be similar to the base model Corolla hybrid Sports model in Australia! I bought the midrange hybrid model the SX in January 2022 with 16 inch wheels and the top of the range ZR with 18 inch wheels in February 2022 but built in December 2021 and imported from Japan. The ZR has leather and suede seats.
Excellent video, I'm planning to buy it a 2023 model, here in Costa Rica of course they are more pricey (34,000 USD this premium) but I think it is worth it due to high gas prices here also (2 USDs per LITTER)
Yes!!! Stretch the wheelbase about 3 inches and raise the headroom the same. It is a fine car from a fine range of cars but I have NO idea where Toyota got the idea Americans and Canadians were shrinking when they planned their TNGA models. :D
Thank you Jeff Great looking Carrolla. Do you think you will review a Scagg mower or a John Deere in 2022. Please don't track the grass clippings into the new cars. Emon great camera work. Keep up the good work Jeff.
Jeff great video(s)! I recently got a regular gas rav4 and my gas gauge is stuck on full. Is there hope to get this fixed. I dont want to get stuck anywhere. -_-
Hey Toyota Jeff! Can you tell me if the Prius Hybrid Limited supports Android Auto for 2022? The Toyota site seems to suggest the answer is yes and the salesperson I am working with agrees. However, another RUclipsr who works for Toyota as a salesperson said no. What say you Jeff?
Thanks for the video and considering the Corolla Hybrid as my next car - I've checked the inventory here in California and no premium package models anywhere and ugly colors of silver, white or black with black interiors. I want ruby flare with the macadamia nut interior. oh well.....
I just purchased this car. In the morning when I start my car, do I have to leave it on to let the engine "heat up"? I know that was a thing in older cars, but not sure about the newer ones.
Questions: When you plug-in the wired apple carplay / android auto, does that usb also charge the phone? (too bad it is not wireless...) Can you set the infotainment to default turning on with apple carplay / android auto, or do you have to click a couple buttons first? Thanks thanks!
@@zankired5653 i didn't really look into wireless charging on my vehicle, I always have a wire anyway out of habit. You just gotta press the "phone" button after plugging your phone, click on android auto or Apple play when it populates and it'll show your apps
I'm in the market for a new car, probably Toyota again, & I'm also from the Raleigh area. So basically what I'm saying is hey Jeff, can you cut me a good deal? Either way, I like your channel, good info
@@fugazi5150 This runs on 15" wheels with relatively skinny tires to maximize mpg. If you 'upgrade' to 16 or 18 inch rims with wider tires you will lose 2, 3, or 4 mpg on the highway and end up with a rougher ride. The choice is yours.....
Have you driven one? The torque of the electric motors helps it feel swifter than it is. It's not fast but it really isn't as bad as 121 hp makes it sound

You really do a great job showcasing toyota vehicles. Subscribed.
The fun part starts at 7:57 (when he gets into the trunk, closes the trunk and then gets out)

It needs a sunroof and auto dim rear view mirrors.

I've only test driven (in Ontario) the cloth seat C - hybrid. I find the hp is slow, very quiet on the road, but I find not fun to drive.

The LED light upgrade. Is that something from the dealer? I ask, because it's not an option on the Toyota website for building this car.
